Ruth spent time on every detail and we reached closure over the telephone. - Patricia Witham: called me immediately, and told me after our conversation that she would need to get approval from her manager. I sent a note to Scott Livingston, and right after I sent the note to Scott, Ruth called right away explaining changes at Safety. - Victor Witham: I worked with Victor on rental car, and other additional details, and Victor was always very responsive. I know that others on the Google reviews have not been as positive. I am giving 5 stars because when I started to run into issues, everyone noted on this note helped me very professionally. Someone who is a client of safety insurance hit my car recently. The last person I spoke with was Nicholas frenzo who was a pleasure and gave great help. Him and the original agent I made the claim with said Joshua Tabenkin was going to reach out to me and was going to come to my house and take photos of my vehicles damage since he's the adjuster. I never heard from Joshua. Nobody ever reached out after I spoke to Nicholas. So to me the rest of this company is looking very unprofessional and needs a retraining in communication. Getting Safety Ins to cover a car rental, and other expenses is just terrible. Faulty claim number for a Hertz rental delayed a few days to actually get a rental. I had been a safety customer for over 10 years, in early August the windshield in one of my cars got cracked, started the claims process. It took over two months and they argued about every nickel and dime. A Saab specialist with the factory repair manual was telling them proper installation requires a certain gasket but it's not in their magic book so they were fighting every step of the way, they dragged their feet for over 1 1/2 months, 6 calls from the Saab specialist, 3 times sending the quote for the gasket (Nick R kept not being able to find it) and 5 calls from me before they would approve the gasket, apparently fighting to not pay $159.39 was worth losing a long time customer. read more

I have been with safety for 10 years now and have paid tens of thousands in premiums. For the first time in 10 years I submitted a claim for a simple $60 windshield repair. It was rejected. Safety values their profits over loyalty. For someone that has paid out $20,000 in premiums and has been loyal, you figure they would care more. I am cancelling my policy with them and highly recommend that anyone looking for insurance steer clear. They do not value their customers and care more about nickel and diming people than providing good service. Additionally, their customer service representatives hang up on customers. My car was hit. Other driver covered thru Safety Insurance. It has been a HORRIBLE experience as I, the victum, have been responsible to load photos through their app to receive an estimate (no employed adjustor to provide in-person estimates) THEN make my own appointment thru a collision center AND ARRANGE my own rental car!!! The insured's company does NOT HANDLE A SINGLE DETAIL for their client. In addtion, 2 calls looking for "next step" guidance to the Claims Adjustor assigned to the case yielded ZERO return calls (had to wait on hold for the next available to get answers) THE WORST EXPERIENCE. I can sit here and explain from XYZ why this company is horrible. I can start by saying, if you get on a phone with an adjuster PLEASE make sure YOU RECORD , they will pretend to be another person. I caught it happen 3x, also mechanics, and other professionals who got on the phone with adjusters have noticed they bounce the phone from the same 2-3 people with DIFFERENT names. Be aware! They have same voices and used different names. I had a guy with a name starting with "C___" then "V____" then another name is "R____" and another name BUT it's the same person, due to their demeanor, response and how they spoke to me, each time they ALL was frustrated and hated talking to me. WHAT A COINCIDENCE!!!! That all 3-5 people with the same voice, tone and response was the SAME ! Mind you , EACH time I acted professionally and accordingly ... yet I caught the same person in a lie. This company procrastinates with your claim, your calls, your service anything you need...the adjuster Ms. Reed is just not qualified for her specific position...You can't get ahold of a single member from the adjuster department. They are full of nonsense, unprofessionalism , incompetence and lack of integrity. They gave me a supervisor name "Shierly or Sheryl" probably a fraud too!!! My box truck was totaled by a driver that carries safety insurance provides. Shane O'Brien was very professional and helpful in getting paid out for the totaled truck. However dealing with Evan.coultier was another issue getting reimbursed for uhual rentals it's been 3 weeks now and after sending in the receipts for the uhual im still left to email and call safety to try and recover the money but to no avail. I even reached out to Evan supervisor Stephanie about my claim but she informed me to continue to email Evan . Its been weeks maybe months now. NOT a word from the adjuster since he was stating that I was "PRESEUMED AT FAULT" FOR just Changing lanes. He has Not contacted me to say what the resolve was nor have I been told the name of the other sides insurance company name. This adjusters name is: Jason Chalifour, Neither this adjuster nor my former near 40 yr long agent: Lawless Insurance Co. Brian Lawless will tell me this info. They both claim "we do not have access to that information" at time of the incident I was totally traumatized and neglected to take a picture of his insurance. I was more concerned of my heart condition being agitated into something really dangerous. So the claim they do not know the other sides insurance provider. WHAT BULLSHIT!! In addition I have a separate billing situation with this same company basically they're creating bs bills AFTER I cancelled. Now I am told this guy will be getting over 5K for a Bumper!! all over the bumper is White paint, my car is red. The adjuster Jason Chalifour would not engage in any talk about my pictures taken at the scene nor tell me whom the other guys insurance is. Instead I get this: copied and pasting here: He still will not tallk to me only emailed me this: This is very simple, and the matter is closed. You had an accident. We determined you are liable for the damage to the other vehicle. The other vehicle owner filed a claim that we are obligated to pay fairly and settle. We hired an independent appraiser to look at the other car in-person and that is exactly what we are going to pay. In addition to this a payment was made on my August '25 cancelled policy, not by me, and my new insurance here in PA has not answered my emails or calls to explain what is going on here now so in case I need find a new company before renewal of prolly way higher premiums. So folks if your going to make a lane change rethink Not doing it!! because if anyone sees you signaling they can jump out of anywhere! hit you! and get paid. Still having problems. Jeep totaled a month ago. After horrible communication for updates all while my mom is in hospice and then passes. l'm having to call them and wait for calls back that never happen. Finally get the pay out last Thursday . I find a new vehicle 2 days later. Ask for the proper paperwork to be sent to the bank so I can get new vehicle. They seem to have an issue with sending forms that have to do with the RMV. They didn't send the RTA form. My bank asked for it again before they closed. Nothing. Now my bank is closed today and Safety stops covering my rental today also. Which wouldn't be a problem if everything was sent over yesterday like it was supposed to be. Now I have to pay for another day of my rental and hope that finally tomorrow they do what is supposed to be done in time. If there is a next time someone hits me and says oh don't worry that's what you have insurance for I'm gonna lose my mind because I'm tired of fighting for a service I pay for. read more

This is one of the worst companies. An adjuster agent supposed to view my car goes on medical leave for a month. No one transfers the case, car sits for a month longer than necessary. No new agent until we called multiple times, they undercut checks and are honestly terrible at damage assessment. Very upsetting and inconvenient as I can't get a rental. I contacted the adjuster and provided photos and the accident report and he stated they hadn't determined fault yet. I'm getting my vehicle repaired thru my insurance (USAA) and they will seek retribution from Safety. There history is to drag things out until you give up. Avoid them at all costs. read more

Terrrible, have had my car in the shop since 7/3, zero communication from safety, my adjustor does not respond to email or phone calls. I have a rental but they will only cover 30 days even though they are the ones dragging their feet. Auto shop was asking for supplemental for 3 weeks, i called daily, finally got my agent on it, then the following week they need something additional and again crickets from the insurance company. I am in treatment for cancer and now have to find a way to get to appointments since safety will not extend the rental and I cannot afford $30/day. Absolutely horrible company. My car was involved in a deer accident in September of 2023. The damage was substantial resulting in about ~$10k in body damage. When the car was repaired, the engine began overheating and after diagnosing, the engine had a crack due to physical damage. The vehicle ran perfect prior to the accident with only 80k miles. Safety refused to fix, stating the damage was pre-existing and not related to hitting a deer at 50mph. Absolute scammers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Scammers! They refused to pay for a repair due to rodents wires damage to my vehicle for which I paid $3,000 to Sullivan Tire in Boston. They and their "appraisal" company teamed up to say that all the resulting car issues were not from the wires damage to the vehicle and denied my claim only paying me over $600 after a $500 deductible. Stay away from Safety, I have been an accident free customer for several decades and I have paid 10s of thousands of dollars in insurance to them and never had any accident claims during all those years and now that I needed them, they failed me miserably. I would give them a -1 star if possible. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from Safety insurance. We paid our auto insurance and they credited it to renters insurance and then they said we didn't pay our auto insurance and canceled our policy for nonpayment. They never let us know so we were driving with no insurance for almost 10 days. They refused to acknowledge the payment. Then offered to reinstate but not remove the nonpayment which resulted in double the policy cost. This company is a scam. They set this up. Put the payment in the wrong place, say there was no payment and then they try to charge us double! Such a setup. And now it's on our record so everywhere is charging us more. how is one of your adjuster going to say it's my fault when it was a hit and run. i was driving my toyota corolla when i was struck by a landscaping truck. i went out my way to get proof that it wasn't my fault from near by gas stations. Horrible customer service. I just found out they canceled my auto insurance 2 months ago! Never received any notification thru the mail or email. Said they called me, but never left a voice message. I had no clue I was driving uninsured. On something as important as my car insurance, follow up with more then one phone call and actually leaving voicemail would be nice! Even an email would have been helpful. If I had notification of a problem it would of been dealt with and I would not have risked a much bigger problem driving uninsured. Being a Safety Insurance customer is such a draining chore. Bad customer service. They charge you extra even if you pay your bill ON TIME: They charge $6/month to send you your bill. Then they charge you $5 if you pay the bill. Then they keep emailing you alerts that you have a bill due, even after you've made the payment.. which makes you keep signing in because you think "oh crap, did I forget to pay the bill? Did they not receive my payment?!" Gross. Surprised they don't charge me when I dial their number for questions or assistance. Look elsewhere. read more

The driver was issued a ticket because he was not supposed to be driving it in a residential neighborhood, by neighbor saw it and came over and when I went outside he was an inch away from my vehicle trying to turn around on my st,, but safety insurance couldn't get the driver ins to pay and then didn't even send enough money to fix it after my deductible.
