Be aware that parking is tricky. There's a bus stop directly in front of the store and there's only one spot in their parking lat and it's only for vehicles needing wheelchair accessibly. Sandy is about 17 miles away. Fred Meyer had an excellent selection of fruits and vegetables, meats, etc., at price points that were in line with what we expected to pay. Some specials, as advertised through their weekly circular, were bargains. We found everything that was on our shopping list, and much more. We saved about $20 on a $100 order by using their loyalty card, but lost a few bucks by not having their app on our phones for digital specials. Parking was plentiful and free. Staff (in the self check-out) was helpful. There's a Fred Meyer gas station adjacent to the main store which was convenient. Items scanned at their correct prices (though see note below about digital savings). The store was well-organized and clean. One point off in my rating for two reasons. (1) we had some issues with the self check-out register that required staff to come over to our station multiple times -- which was annoying. It turns out that the register was getting confused by having two people at the register. My husband was scanning, while I bagged. (2) we didn't get the "sale" price that was on the label in front of a few items on display. It turned out that you need not only a loyalty card but you also need to add digital coupons via the Fred Meyer app. Too many hoops to jump through to get the best prices.

As I brought the beer back to the cooler she said and I quote; we have the lowest beer prices out of any convenience store in town. I kept myself from calling BS as I drove to the Barton Store and I purchased the same product for less than $13. I understand that small businesses are struggling, but this is highway robbery. It's mind boggling to me that this place is still open for business. I highly recommend going somewhere else if you want to save a large portion of your disposable income.

I unfortunately have become a lot less mobile - standing for long periods very much harms my leg tissue so i need to limit standing which means that I am not able to cook as much as I would like to. Prepared foods are such a tragedy. Having veggies cut up in advance is such a time saver sometimes! I used to avoid it because the word fresh was a joke but Safeway had such a great selection of very well priced and fresh fruit and vegetables. Also, those horrifically large veggie trays with some ranch - they have small single servings! I go to things like Shakespeare in the Park so grabbing a wrap sandwich and some veggies for snacking is wonderful! Also, cut up bowls of fresh fruit. There are quite a few selections of different small meats, cheeses with crackers and/or nuts. It is so nice to have options for those of us who forgot our lunch too! They are much less than the fast food options and far better for you as well. This location really seems to run a tight ship where everything, even during a pretty busy afternoon was neat and tidy which is appreciated.
