You can get gas cheaper here, but in reality it only works, when you shop for groceries at Safeway. Their prices for food can be expensive. That alone brings my skepticism out. Lines are a real issue here. The parking lot is organized chaos. If you pick this right tine, that'll improve things. There's no repair shop, although it's Safeway snacks at the ready. Right off the highway and large and in charge. I mean... if they tore this gas station down one day... they'd probably be able to build an apartment complex on that land. It's HUGE. Always pretty solid prices and it's one of the only places you can enter in your (or your brother's or sisters ;) telephone number and get your safeway fuel discount. I'm just kidding, do not steal your siblings fuel discounts... unless they already owe you a ton of money *cough cough sis* In any event, this gas station is definitely cleaner than most you'll go to, and the store in the middle is always clean and well stocked as well. Nothing bad to say. I used to hang out at the Starbucks in this shopping center A LOT. So I used it to use this gas station frequently. Great cheap gas! Make sure you use your member card. They have a nearby charging station for electric cars but I don't think Safeway owns it. They are undergoing renovations soon. read more

I bought 3 Amazon gift cards from the Safeway gas store and I was told I could still earn gas points for them. Normally I buy Amazon gift cards from Safeway and I get double gas points. In this Safeway gas store I got 0 gas points. After I tried to ask for help from the lady named "Grace" she didn't even look at me and just told me go online for what is on promotion and walked away. Night work on 66 stretched my estimated gas expenditure, so I pulled off to gas up. Couldn't find my Safeway key fob for the life of me, but fortunately you can input your phone number for credit. Pumps are so slow you might as well go to the nearby Starbucks for a cup of coffee before going back to your car. Also, now that they've installed that new traffic light right outside of Pan Am, getting in and out of here takes at least twice as long as it used to. On the up side you can put in your phone # (assuming you have a Safeway membership tied to that #) for at least $0.03 cheaper gas, which is awesome when you consider that their prices are pretty reasonable to begin with. That discount can increase depending on how often you buy food at Safeway. The most important thing for me is convenience and this place is right next to a 66 exit and the Vienna metro station. read more

They are currently offering a per gallon discount when you use cash. The amount varies and I've seen as much as 10cents per gallon off. The station is generally pretty clean and the staff offers to carry out bags if you purchase anything from the convenience store portion. read more
