This review is for the bakery. Ordered a cake three weeks in advance. I ordered a chocolate cake with fresh strawberries inside. The cake was awful. Not in taste but it was 100% dry, there was no bottom layer to the cake, and nothing to make the strawberries stick/stay in the middle (like frosting). The strawberries were also poorly picked even though it's strawberry season. They also did not follow design requests. In the picture you can see the strawberries were literally the "base" of the cake because no cake was under. You can also see how hallow/dry it was. By far the WORST cake I've ever bought. Will not be buying from here again. Paid $60 for this.

You know what's up! Five Dollah DEALAGES on Fridays!

I will have to admit, this particular Safeway location in Kapolei would not be a location I would frequent only because it's out of the way for me, but since I was hunting for some DEALAGES at the Reyn Spooner store at the Ka Makana Ali'i Mall, I'd figured I'd stop by this Safeway for some Friday DEALAGES!!! Located at the Kapolei Shopping Center, you can find this Safeway store just next door from Mamaya. A pretty big, clean, & well stocked store. Parking here is not an issue, as it's located at a major mall. I mainly came here for some Chicken Tenders, as on Friday they had da $5.00 DEALAGES for a pound of Chicken Tenders! Yum!!! The hot foods/deli dept. was pretty efficient. Although when I originally got in line to order my Chicken Tenders, as the line grew, another Safeway clerk stepped forward & provided additional support to expedite and cut down the line. I think Friday's are my favorite day to come to Safeway, as I'm always lookin' for DEALAGES Yo!

    DMV kiosk inside Safeway

This Safeway offers so much. If I see something on the Tv and I can't find it at our local grocery stores Safeway is your best bet. I recently discovered that inside of this Safeway location there is a DMV kiosk. It is such a hassle to stand inline at the DMV or pay your registration through the mail. Once I paid my registration online and my registration got lost in the mail This year I decided to try the kiosk at Safeway. I found that not all the Safeways offer this convenient way of paying for your registration so please look on Yelp for your best option. The process was so easy to follow and you receive your registration and sticker right on the spot. Follow the easy prompts and VOILÀ.....

Deli worker is puzzled and looking for my Turkey Online order. Mind you, she didn't find it!!

On November 11th I placed an online order for a Thanksgiving Meal to go. I received a confirmation for my order, along with a confirmation number and time of pick-up. To be safe, I went into the store today to confirm my order, and according to the deli workers , my order was nowhere to be found. They looked through a pile of papers, and told me later that all orders were closed a few days prior to my email confirmation!! WTH!! I feel bad for others that will be going there on Thanksgiving Day to pick up there turkey, only to be FRUSTRATED, ANGRY and WITHOUT THEIR TURKEY meals FOR THEIR FAMILIES!!! HUGE FAIL!!! Kapolei Manager, you need to check your online orders!! Why were you still accepting orders if the promotion was already sold out!!! Why are you still advertising it on your menu board above the Deli section!!! HORRIBLE!!!!!! Giving you 1 star is way too much for your store!!! Get your act together is saying it mildly!!

Stopped in for some last minute items. The store was clean and the staff I asked for help was helpful and non hesitant. All of the items I needed were in stock which is a plus and I also found some other items that I actually needed. The cashier that rang me up was also friendly. Safeway can be a bit pricey but they do have some great sales. I also love their floral department which is always in th3 differnt seasons or holidays.

First thing we noticed was that the prices here were way more affordable than Maui. We went to costco beforehand because we didn't want to pay inflated prices for things like water and liquor but honestly it was pretty comparable. Of course we had to get the poke here. They have so many options and flavors that you really can't go wrong. We asked the guy behind the counter what he recommended and he had just made a fresh batch of their spicy poke which was delicious. We also got the californian poke, but that was just alright in comparison to the spicy poke he made. I think the trick here is to just ask what's the freshest and go with that. While the poke gets a lot of love at Foodland, the low key superstar is their fried chicken. Warm, cold, room temperature, it's hella good. We tried their salt and vinegar wings and their garlic fried chicken, and it was some of the best bites on the entire trip. Definitely don't skip out on this on your next trip to Foodland!

I've had various Dubai chocolate treats from many places but this by far had the creamiest filling, which meant they did not skip out on the pistachio cream. The malasada was soft n' very much coated with sugar. I also really like the mango mochi malasada. The Ube mochi malasada ended up being really hard, must've been over fried. They may have some in the back. They also have katsu musubi's ($5). We ordered a few things here and everything was pretty good! Even the loco moco was better than the one at our resort... If you order from the smoothie counter (where they have smoothies, açaí bowls, milk tea, pastries and gelato) - get a punch card. There's $5 off once you get 10 punches. Also, you have to pay for parking. Don't try to pass this up. We've seen the tow truck a few times here, doing their job! Overall, it's a great option away from resort prices!

Sometimes online shopping is hit or miss, and shipping can take longer than expected. This headset was just under $200. YIKES! It better be a good one! I always enjoy looking at the electronic section and the music section. Once upon a time, I used to collect CDs. And something in me is wanting to collect vinyls but that is such an expensive hobby and my heart is still telling me to save for a new car so window shopping it is. I also love going to Walmart's Tumbler section. There are so many beautiful ways to decorate your Tumbler nowadays. I cant keep up! I also went to the sewing section and fell in love with the fabrics, and it made me want to sew a pillow! Walmart is just a better version of Hobby Lobby because it sells food. That's what makes it dangerous!!! I did finally get my partner's shoes we've been procrastinating to get for months so I'm proud of that. Unfortunately, I didn't have much luck finding a pair of women's size 11 TredSafe work shoes today, which was a little frustrating. But that's okay, I'll try again tomorrow when I have a bit more energy. To make things more interesting, I was dealing with an asthma attack during my shopping trip tonight. Thank goodness for those motorized shopping carts up front, they truly saved the day and made it possible for me to finish my errands. With that, my errands for the day are officially complete. Overall, it was a very productive Wednesday, and I'm calling that a win.

"Sometimes good enough is a better option than wasting resources trying to find an optimal…read moresolution". - Herbert Simon Walmart has pros and cons like most places that we all choose to shop at. I like the convenience of knowing that they open at 6am-ish... Most times it opens up around 6:04 to 6:05 depending upon who's in charge of that area. The store is typical of Wal Mart's layout. Rows and aisles of clothing, food, household goods, etc. Most employees are nice and some you can tell are just trying to make it until break time, which is okay because we all have "days". My biggest issue is having to navigate through aisles that are riddled with pallets and merch needing to be shelved. Sometimes they'll be multiple employees in one aisle with their merch carts crammed against each other try to stock shelves. They're focused and most often won't move for you to get your shopping cart through, let alone get what you need off of the shelf. There are (2) restrooms, one is located in the back near the fabric area and one across the cash registers next to the eyeglass shop. The bathrooms are always clean and stocked. Again, it's a toss up between speaking with a nice, cordial employee and an employee who's just going through it. My recommendation is to have a plan if you're short on time. Especially for people who start work at 6:30am and the store is slow to open at 6am. Have a plan and be ready to do an audible in the event that the area you need items from are congested with merch carts and pallets.
