This store is poorly maintained. Three weeks ago I purchased some food from the deli and ate at the counter in the same deli. I noticed that the counter was dirty,food on the wall and when I was there 2 days ago the same food stains and filth was STILL THERE. The bathroom was nasty.Very dirty,paper all over, dirty bowl.. Today is my mother's 81st birthday. When I stopped by to visit her, she was visibly upset. She relayed to me about how she had been to your Milton, WA. store to purchase a number of items that she had seen on sale in one of your ads, but was told that she could not receive the sale discounts unless she had a cell phone "app". She is 81-years-old. Like many elderly people, who are commonly on a budget, and also is not technically savvy, and does not even own a smart phone. My mother spoke with a customer service representative who only smiled and confirmed that she would need to use an app or pay full price. Associate are helpful except the grouchy name Melissa. I thought my items are 15 or less but she told me that only express line I apologize and told her I can just get my items and go to other counter but she said next time the way she said it she is irritated looks like lazy bitch for me I know sometimes it happen but consideration should be accepted especially customer service and she looks fake and racist next time if you have color skin bring your items to this lady and speak out so she knows skin color are human too and smart! read more

I purchased a nice looking honeydew melon at the Milton, WA Safeway. It had no visible blemishes until I got it home and removed the sticker. Turns out the sticker was just the right size to hide a rotten spot on the melon so, that's where they placed it. I'll be giving them an ear full when I return it tomorrow. read more

There is so much trouble with the computers and the "items in baggage area" message it's not worth the hassle.

I would like to give a better review, over-all, but I was very unhappy with my last visit to this store. First problem , that I have had for so long, is that they put the soy creamer on the very top shelf of the dairy case, behind a metal post, so it's almost impossible to get it out, esp. since I am a short woman. To make matters worse, now I discovered that they also put the vanilla soy milk also on the top shelf, wedged in so tight it won't come out. I am allergic to dairy milk, so I buy a lot of soy; I don't like the other products. I could not buy any soy milk or creamer because I couldn't reach it, and there was no one around to help me. I also had a big problem when I tried to pick up one of the bags to put it in my car, and it was SO HEAVY that I got a sprained wrist from it. I had told the bagger to NOT make my bags too heavy. He also did not offer to do a carry-out for me. ( I spent $160.00.) The 3rd. issue I had last visit is that I found ANTS in my raspberries! This was the last straw. I am pretty unhappy. I shop here on a weekly basis with my family and last night after an extremely long, stressful and tiring workday I picked up my son who had also had a long day. He was grumpy and I was tired. He ended up throwing a monstrous fit on our way out and as I was trying to suitcase carry him while also push the cart out the door, one of the employees was coming in and asked me where I was parked. I pointed and she said she was going to help me to the car. She put the groceries in my car while my son kicked and screamed in my face and she encouraged me the entire time. She hugged me and told me I was doing a great job. I really needed it last night. It changed my whole night around and I'm just so thankful because working in customer service is hard and she didn't have to do that for me but she did. What a kind heart she has. If management sees this, she had long hair and I know she's worked there a while. So thankful for her! read more

They really need to put in a self check out. I have been here different times of the day and im always waiting at least 4 people in front of me. Its the worst when you get people on WIC because you are guaranteed a minimum 20 minute wait. Im at the point where i won't come here anymore and i live right next door. read more

The store is usually clean, the prices are average, service is ok. The morning deli people are pretty grim, I've never gotten any type of smile from them. My biggest complaint is that checking out is so damn slow, and there is always a line. Doesn't matter what time during normal daylight hours, I can shop for 5 minutes and spend ten minutes in line. Part of the responsibility lies in a couple of their tellers who have obviously given up on life, and other is the dumb ass customers who wait till the last minute to finally decide to run their card, like they expect that maybe they won't have to pay? OK, the app is not great. But I was excited to try one more time after a bad experience a few years ago. Here's what happened: After specifically saying I didn't want substitutions, they brought me a short order. But the item that was short, was really the only item I wanted. The other items, I added just to get to the delivery minimum. No notice, and the driver had no clue what to do. I really didn't want the items. So I refused delivery. It took me three phone calls, in about 30 minutes, before I finally even got in touch with anybody with Safeway online. They told me that the only option was to order it again, and they would, after another phone call, refund my delivery charge that now I would certainly be charged. Way too much trouble! Can you imagine what would happen if this happened at Amazon? They would have immediately made it right. read more

Let me tell you, I think this is the WORST experience I have EVER had at a grocery store. Everything was overpriced AND terrible quality, don't even get me started on the produce department. Horrible customer service. Every cashier I've had was incredibly rude to me. I once went in to get a snack later in the evening, went to the only available line, tried to make small talk with the disinterested cashier only to find out that he was the MANAGER of the store. As someone who has worked in customer service for years I would never have the guts to behave as surly and ill-mannered as these employees. The only reason I shop here is because of its proximity to my house, and every time I go I have to mentally prepare myself for an unpleasant experience. read more

For most of our shopping we go with Costco and Safeway and this one is awesome. The people are always friendly and very helpful. Yesterday all the lines (most lanes were open) seemed to be a mile long. We got through ours fast and our cashier was friendly. Came around the front to help load something in our cart. When I thanked him he said "It's okay I needed to stretch my legs anyways." It's nice to have customer service that does a little extra just because. read more

This Safeway is legit. Virtually every Safeway I've been to is understaffed and there's no self-checkout so the lines are awful. While this one does not have a self-checkout, the lines tend to move quickly and the staff are friendly. It's clean and laid out similar to most other Safeways. read more

Why is it everytime I come here. I spend more time in line than I do shopping? It doesn't matter if it's early morning or late afternoon. This is the only store in town and clearly isn't able to handle the amount of people that shop here. You're better off dropping down into puyallup and go to Fred Meyer where they actually have a lot of cash registers/lines to handle the amount of shoppers. read more
