7/4/2025 they are open today like normal. All went well. Easy in and out. They have pa charging station in the parking lot. Shelves for the most part were fully stocked. I went in for coffee creamer - dairy is not fully stocked at this moment 4/5 and they didn't have the creamer I was looking for Lucerne Sweet Cream. Well they did have water stocked. Quick easy in/out today! Ambiance was mellow very very quiet in the store. Most people coming in for ice to go to parade. No complaints. Good day read more

Purchased the Teriyaki Chicken/Fried Rice/Noodle takeout. The Noodles were stuck together in a glob and 80% of the Teriyaki Chicken was full of fat. $8.99 and definitely not worth it! I'll never get takeout from them again. They could also invest in better take out container. Very flimsy! read more

Shop the specials and use the digital coupons to save money. Cashier was very nice. She interacted with customers and kept a positive attitude. The store was not over crowded and was very clean. If you get the adds, you can save money and plan your shopping ahead of time. read more

So I come here a lot, I buy most of my groceries from this Safeway, always I was waking in to the self check out area with my one item,, I stoped in front of the self checkout cash register to pull up my Safeway card number, because I just changed my number so I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to put in the wrong number, then different customer said "excuse me' because he was trying to get a beverage underneath the cash register I was at, so I said " oh sorry '' and I moved out the way,, then it said ""its okay"" mind you I couldn't have had been there for longer than 30 seconds, then the old prude self check out monitor Lady said very inappropriately to all of the 10 people in the whole store "" SOME PEOPLE JUST DON'T NO HOW GET THERE STUFF AND TO CHECK"" she said it with a rude attitude,, I don't know if she's worked here for 90% of her life but I just think that's disrespectful,, I could completely understand if I was in the middle of the checkout when I wasn't, I could understand if I had a lot of items, but I only had one, I could understand if I was being rude, but I wasn't, I honestly feel like her behavior was inappropriate not needed. Especially because every time I come in here, I've been nice to her. read more

Safeway at Aurora Village has gotten so scary we decided to try this one again. It has improved somewhat. Bathrooms are clean. Aisles are wide. Store is clean. Safeway is one of the more expensive stores. The meat always seems to rated higher than it is. Choice steak at Safeway does not taste like choice at Thriftway or QFC. That said the meat looked considerably better than it did on my last visit. Fish counter is less stinky. It smells when you get close but it used to stink for over a hundred feet away. Started to buy shrimp and then noticed the smell. If you shop the Just 4 U sales, it can be worth the trip. Customers and parking lot are far less sketchy than Aurora. Safeway brands Lucerne and Signature are pretty good and a pretty good value. read more

Safeway is pretty good but is a bit higher priced than other stores but you can get rewards and benefits from there. The selection of products are decent. They have good deli options most of the time but they are expensive. The workers are usually decent and respectful. read more

Just moved into the area and this Safeway is convenient and close. Yesterday on 1-15-22 I was picking up a few things for my household and had an interesting checkout line experience. I inserted my debit card into the terminal to pay. The female cashier asked me if wanted bags, (Yes) and then asked me out loud, with folks in line behind me if I'd be paying for any items with an EBT card. She did not ask the gentleman in front of me that question. I invited her to elaborate on why she asked me that question. Her context was that cashiers are not supposed to charge EBT card users for bags. I completed my transaction then took my cart over to the customer service counter. I waited and soon a person came over who identified herself as the front end manager. I wanted to have a conversation because I was curious if it was a new store policy for cashiers to inquire with customers about having an EBT card. I asked this front end manager if when ringing up customer purchases if it was her personal practice to ask customers about having an EBT card. Front end manager replied, "No, I do not." Me: "Ok. That's what I thought. It was strange to have a cashier ask about that and it didn't land well with me, do you know what I mean?" Front End Manager: "Yes, I get it. I will tell her not to ask that question anymore." Note to the Mountlake Terrace Safeway store director: I invite you to review standard operating procedures with your cashiers and emphasize this particular topic. This experience jepordized a customer's privacy, was disrespectful, and singled out one person from another. As a Safeway store director, I imagine you have a mission and values goal to treat each customer equally, with dignity, and to avoid potential profiling or presumptions about their situation, even if a cashier has good intent to not charge EBT card users for grocery bags. That particular cashier's choice of approach was not a good path of conversation to extend that courtesy. Please review policy updates regularly in future staff meetings and correspondence so Safeway customers can have a uniform, consistent, and positive experience when shopping at your store. I understand that the cashier may have to know ahead of time in order to ring up the order properly but I think the best way to find out if someone is using EBT or any other type of assistance, would be "And how will you be paying today?" read more

It's pretty rare that I despise a grocery store and the only reason I'm not giving this 1 star is because I've never gotten food poisoning from their products. I drive by this store 5 days a week on my way home to North Creek, so it's pretty convenient to stop by and pick up a few groceries on the way. That's where the good part ends. Last night was the last straw. I went in for vegies, the produce department was almost empty. No potatoes, no onions, no red bell peppers, no cabbage! I understand we just went through Snowmeggedon, but that's over and the other grocery stores are stocked. Oh yes, no cat food either. Sure they had Friskies, but most of the cat food isle was empty and my fav brand was MIA. If that wasn't enough my checker was plainly under the influence of something. She didn't smell like pot or alcohol but she could barely keep her eyes open and kept 'accidentally' throwing my items across the belt to the bagger. She could barely even speak. She mumbled. It was pathetic. The bagger wasn't much better, though she wasn't wasted. I guess that's something. read more

I visited the Mountlake Terrace Safeway today and was shocked to see multiple shoppers without masks! I asked an employee, and she told me they're not allowed to enforce the mask mandate. I handed her my 1/2 full cart and left. I then called the store and the woman I spoke with told me the same thing. "We're not allowed to enforce mask mandates". I told her that I would no longer do business with a company with such little regard for the health and safety of their employer's and customers. What is the matter with people today?? I usually like the prices at Albertson's, and this one definitely makes good on those. But what I don't usually like is the lack of organic choices and the general lackluster quality of the fresh stuff--produce, meat, fish. I can't say that this Albertson's has amazing meat or fish, but they do really try to put out decent produce, and they have a huge aisle and a half of organic stuff. Very impressive. Good deli, good bakery, reasonably credible beer and wine. They're clearly trying to make this a more upscale location, even putting down faux distressed wood flooring, like Safeway has done with some of its nicer stores. Overall, it's a pretty decent supermarket in the reasonably-priced category, though I can't do all my shopping here because there are a few things they just never stock. But I can swing through and get enough to carry through a couple days. read more

Okay, I seriously drive past several other grocery stores to get here. I even drive past another Albertsons! This place is great. The staff is nice for the most part, the items are stocked, the store is clean, and the produce looks great. Further, they have great prices. There are a couple people that work here that aren't the friendliest, but it's pretty easy to pinpoint who they are and avoid, avoid, avoid. I couldn't imagine having to shop elsewhere! read more

I go to this Safeway pretty regularly. They have the turkey I like in the deli. Given the QFC is only 4 min from my house. I went here to get some turkey at the deli and my husband and I stood there for a good 8-10 min before anyone acknowledged we were there and that is when the lady came out and immediately asked another person what they needed. At that point I waved my hand and said "hello" and she started yelling "hello hello" and waving her arms in the air. I was so embarrassed for her and so incredibly unhappy at the rude display. She was obnoxious and rude the whole time and when we were done, proceeded to say some rude comment under her breath as we walked away. I spoke with the manager about this, as I have NEVER been treated that way at a grocery store EVER. I went back today and the same woman was working, so I asked if there was someone else that could help me and she said "not right now" in a very condescending voice. So I asked her to get someone else because I did not want to work with her as she was so rude the last time. As she walked away to get someone else, she flipped me off. As I called her out on this rude gesture she said "no I did not". I made it very clear that I would be in contact with management again. I am so unsure, as someone who has worked in customer service for over 20 years as a server and still today in a property management company, how it is that she still has a job. I will no longer use this Safeway. I do have to say, the reason that I gave 2 stars is because the manager was so friendly and because when I was in there the lady working at the self check out was very friendly also, and was on target with asking a customer if she could offer him a mask as he was without. That is the first time I have been anywhere that someone has followed the mask mandate. I appreciate that very much. read more

Im surprised by all the bad reviews. I go here multiple times a week and have never had an issue. The staff at the deli and self checkout have always been nice. My only complaint is that a couple times the bakery has undercooked the French bread...lol. Their hours are wonderful. Never had an issue using their pharmacy either. read more

If I were shopping for anything other than Instacart I would have left within the first 5 min. The staff is rude and seems to know nothing about the store. My worst was dealing with the deli. I eventually had to walk away and let my boyfriend deal with the blonde woman that continued to be even more rude with him. She had no interest in helping us in any way just being completely rude. In the produce section I asked 2 people where pistachios were and telling me that the ones in front of me were the smallest size made. (We buy them regularly and know that is not the case.) He then went back to doing his best to ignore me clearly irritated that I had interrupted him. When I went back to tell the deli that we needed different sliced turkey because we got a message from one of our Instacart clients, the woman threw what she had started angrily against the wall and snarled something inaudible and then "wonderful". So this is 3 interactions where people clearly didn't want to deal with or help me before I made it past the first section of ths store. I am a regular Safeway shopper myself but I definitely wouldn't shop there on my own. Also we as Instacart are doing a service that keeps those workers exposure down. I'm (usually) 1 shopper to what is often 3 households. This lowers other front line workers exposure and also keeps the traffic in you lanes and everything else allowing you to service more families while keeping within the allowed capacity at this time. I will say that we did at least get to end with a very lovely checker that was named Dao and that at least lightened the mood between us, until we saw the pistachios that they "didn't make". read more

so I moved to Mountlake Terrace may be about six months ago .... I've been to the Safeway multiple times and have had some of the worst experiences coming to the Safeway.... I've gotten accused of stealing several times.. mind you I'm pregnant, and I always carry my wallet. I don't carry a purse so being accused of stealing kind of upsets me.... I've never had security called on me, but I've been followed around the store by workers at self check out. I had a woman come up to me and open my bag and look inside the bag of items that were literally just pay for it, and then proceeded to ask me."" did you pay for all the items"" like ma'am are you even allowed to touch my groceries after I literally just paid for them on camera get your nasty ass hands off the stuff I literally just paid for . Drop by several local stores depending on what I'm looking for or which I pass by during daily work. Been frequenting this store, though their prices are comparatively higher on just about everything especially "store brand"(Signature Select) products. Entrance is chaotic and display tables near the door make it worse, aisles are narrow, staff is slow to respond, checkstands easily get backed up, and there is rarely anyone staffing the Guest Services counter. If at all possible avoid peak hours, use the self-checkout, and do not go in expecting any help from employees there. read more

There were 3 people at one check stand (two were not doing anything at the end of the stand) and another cashier across. Unsure if they were having a meeting so I stopped in front of the check stand. I was clueless if they were having a meeting or not. But they weren't. I thought it was very unprofessional and I was greeted with "come on". Even though their lights were on. I had been a long time employee of Safeway and a Front End Manager, Office Manager. With that there has been a culture to make the customer happy but the "Price Guarantee" has fallen by the wayside with the Mountlake Terrace Safeway! There are signs that are given to the stores to hang and it appears this store doesn't have the price guarantee hanging on the customer service are area. So consequecially the employees are unaware! Literally the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. I've had horrible experiences on multiple days picking up prescriptions. The employees behind the pharmacy seem miserable. They messed my script up twice. Offered to give me 12/30 pills in the script and that I could come back and receive the remaining 18 later but had to pay full price up front. Another time the lady miscounted my prescription and when I got home it seemed shy and sure enough I counted it and it was! 3 different employees have horrible attitudes, they act inconvenienced to help you and scoff. My husband and I used to shop here. As of this evening. We're of a certain age where we're never carded anymore. This has been a blessing (and a bit of a curse- hello, wrinkles) - but today, as my husband was doing the driving and the buying, I thought I'd tag along. Because I wasn't an active participant in his adventure, I left my wallet at home. He discovered an attractive case discount on Gewurstraminer, so he picked some up. Wouldn't you know, that's the day we get carded. And, because the audacity of my ID-less presence, we were refused service. All these previous times, going through the self-check with booze, with barely an eyebrow raised. Going through the regular lines at every other grocery store, with fine whisky and absinthe, and all varieties of booze with nary a comment. But, Gewurstraminer, a wonderful wine, is a different beast. This, apparently, is an alarming situation. I understand that there are 'stings' that prohibit sales to underage minors. But where do you draw the line? If I, as a mother, brought my children along to shop, and they had no ID, could they refuse service? They wouldn't dare. But there's something threatening about my starting-to-grey haired, wrinkled presence that evokes terror in the heart of a specific cashier. "Ooh, I must card that one- even if she isn't buying anything. She looks suspicious." As someone who has worked at a grocery store for 4 years, I understand policy. I also understand what it's like to follow policy blindly. Their convenience and location were the only remaining things that kept me coming back (their produce section is horrible- their seafood tolerable, and the rest of the store average) but as they've decided to make our lives more inconvenient by failing to exercise common sense, they've lost our business for good. read more

First, the good side, the clerks and staff are very friendly and nice, the prices are decent enough, and it's VERY close to where we live, I'm going to miss not coming here anymore. Prices are getting a little higher, I saw this in another review, but not that insane. I almost NEVER can find a smaller shopping cart, one of my favorite checkers awhile back revealed they only have SIX of them!?!? So now if I have to get a marginal amount of items that are too big to carry, I have to push a big honkin wire grocery yacht around the store. Like I want to be shoving that around when all I have to pick up is cat litter, dinner, and something to drink. They also seem to no longer be carrying things we used to be able to get. the Week of my wedding anniversary she wanted various items I could no longer get them there, I'd ask 2-3 clerks where they are at and they would say they are not there while my wife calls the store and they say they have it in stock WTF!?!? But the #1 ultimate sin was removing self-checkout. Now my grocery trips for the family or when I need to grab a handful of items - rather than taking a few minutes at most in-n-out, now take bloody forever. The last time I went in there, the lines were almost going down the produce and baking aisles past the little toy cars! And of course they did not hire more staff, nor did they replace any they got rid of (2 of my favorite checkers at least have not been there awhile). I'm not going here again, I've started using QFC and Fred Meyer. They need to bring self-check back for me to keep going here. Maybe it's for the good though, I am looking to get a house eventually - good way to look for somewhere better, maybe closer to another place. First 2 years leaving in this neighborhood I was shopping only in this store. Now not so much. Like Shannon noticed, they have pretty good customer service. I returned only a couple of items here during maybe last 5 years . But Quality of produce is not getting better but worse. Normally I am here to buy a few items, that I cannot find in nearest Grocery Outlet. Meats: I will buy only chicken here and pork or beef ribs. The other meats are no so great for their price. It is getting more expensive too. I used to buy some particular body cleansers. Now They don't care them. :( So, I might quit coming here at all. read more
