DO NOT USE THIER BAKERY. We decided to get my sons birthday cakes from there and they did both cake 100 % DEAD WRONG. And we did not know until we cut them open. None of our family eats fruit fillings, because me and my son are allergic. And SURPRISE that's what we got. So there was 30$ down the drain. The lady was sweet, but how hard is it to get a cake right ? Never ordering from here again. Choose qfc!!!! read more

Prices are much higher than other grocery stores in the area and NO ONE works here so it takes around 20 minutes to check out. They made a big mistake getting rid of the self checkout, especially if they aren't going to hire more cashiers. I only go when I am desperate since it is so close to my house. read more

Since they removed self-checkout MONTHS ago, the checkout lines have been RIDICULOUSLY long! I mean 10-15 people deep lines. It triples, if not quadruples your trip! Keep driving and go to QFC or Fred Meyer and be out in half the time with better produce. read more

It's a pretty average grocery store. Decent deli selection, always fresh. Lines aren't usually long at all (definite plus!). You sometimes have good sales here, but for the most part it's a little more expensive then the other stores nearby (mainly Fred Meyer). The produce selection isn't good, and is really overpriced for being subpar. Go here for the fresh (and good!) deli/bakery area, go somewhere else for the rest of your shoping. read more

This is my local Albertsons and it is a give and take at this place! Most of the time the place is a zoo and the produce is less than exciting. It is either out of the produce or what they do have it small and half rotten.... Their prices are usually not that bad but some things are way overpriced. I drive by this location on my way home and stop here just about every day and just about everytime I go in they will be out of something that I am looking for.... The Starbucks in this location is great though!! Some of the store employees always seem mad and are grouchy most of the time! read more

I'm writing this review about the Starbucks inside this Albertsons. The people who work at this Albertsons are very nice but the little girls who work at the Starbucks inside this Albertsons are very rude, petty, candy, smart-asses, who have zero experience and who can't make a tea to save their life let alone coffee and don't order any food unless you like it burnt and want it to taste like burnt oven that hasn't been cleaned ever. Today I ordered two chi teas, I was very specific about how I wanted my tea, I said please two chi teas with classic syrup. It took the rude girl 15 mins to make my tea. Once the "tea" was made I took a sip as I had a bad feeling after how disrespectful she had been treating me. She had put coffee in my tea. Seriously?! You don't know how to make tea?! Do I have to explain that tea has no coffee in it. If you can't even make tea you shouldn't work as a barista, if you can't be polite then I don't want to spend my money with the business who thought it was a good idea to hire you. After I explained that there's no coffee in tea and that my drink was made wrong and could she please remake them, she rudely told me that they were now all out of Chi, which I didn't believe for a second, she wasn't trying to make it right in any way, she was trying to get me to move on so she didn't have to deal with me so she could take other customers orders. I had already paid for my drinks and there was a large line forming because she was taking 10 to 15 mins just to make tea. I wanted her to make it right but she wouldn't even give me my money back, she gave me a gift card for $10.00 which was less than what I had actually paid by 50 cents or maybe a dollar. After being there for so long dealing with the attitude and her incompetence I just left. The Starbucks employees here make me not even want to spend my money with Albertsons or any other Starbucks, the I don't give a fuck attitude makes me feel like wow I spend over $250.00 a month on Starbucks. I work early early am so Starbucks is the only place open to get a bite to eat that early. && the company thought it was okay to hire someone like you. Then to not make it right just another slap in the face by the business and company, who should make it right. So instead of driving to another Starbucks and maybe going threw it all over again, I walked one min up to their competitors @ Urban City Coffee. Who I highly recommend, they make a excellent Chi tea and blueberry muffins. So please don't waste your money or energy or time, dealing with the unpleasantness here go there. I guess I'll have to take my $250.00 a month chi tea and breakfast habit over there, unless the company wants to make it right. This store (Mountlake Terrace) is hazardous to public health. Keep in mind that Los Angeles now requires everyone in stores, employees and customers, to wear cloth masks. At this Safeway, customers, checkers, and baggers are all crowded together at the end of checkout lines, well within six feet, and None of them are wearing masks. I complained to the store manager about the absence of masks. She told me she didn't intend to do anything about it and if I didn't like it I shouldn't come in. read more

I've shopped here off and on since 2009, but I'm done. First, the meat and produce is of poor quality and overpriced. Customer service non-existent. Yes, it is closer to home, but I'll drive to QFC for the friendly people, high quality produce, meats and unfrozen fresh seafood. The final straw was this evening. The deli staff of 3 were bitching and moaning at each other as customers lined up. So much so that they couldn't even bag up chicken or pay attention to orders. Then, I arrive at check out and I'm asked to go get my ID to buy a bottle of beer. I'm over 50 years old, bald, with a big grey beard. I left everything there on the counter wheel and walked out never to return again. If they don't value my time, I'm not going to give them my money. I have never been a fan of Albertsons but I live around the corner and I was too tired to drive to another store. Went in and checked out with Lisa, she seemed ok and was making small talk while checking us out. Then when we went to pay we tell her we want to pay partly in cash and the rest on our debit card. She says ok and we hand her the cash, then pay with the card. Go to leave and realize she never took the money off the total. We paid the whole total on our card and she just took the money. Went back in to confront her and the money wasn't even in the drawer. She was seriously going to keep the cash for herself. When confronted she says she didn't have time to take the money off the total cause we put the card into the reader too fast. But you didn't say anything? You were seriously going to let us leave without our money? It was only 5 dollars and we weren't really paying attention, but she seriously was going to keep our money. We got the money back but she saw us walking out and didn't say anything. $5 or $50, that's my money, you don't get to decide to keep it for yourself. I have enjoyed grocery shopping at this Albertsons for 17 years and now all I can say is: it's terrible - truly. Last night I finally went to QFC and the checker there told me the store (Albertsons) has gone downhill since the Albertsons - Safeway merger. She went on to say many of the employees are very unhappy - mainly because their hours have been cut. As someone who has been around a while, I have seen a few mergers, and this has to be one of the worse. I do not know how Management (Corp.) could allow a good store like this to fall into such dis-array, but it has - and it's very sad. So now, after 17 years, I'm going to shop at QFC and Fred Meyer. This review is solely based on customer service. I have lived 1.3 miles from this Albertsons for about three years. I am not a big fan of their meat and seafood section, as I often prefer to travel a little further for fresh daily products at the Central Market. However, I regularly use the local Albertsons when I don't feel like making a bigger trek into bothell/mill creek for the 'good stuff'. The other day a friend bought several lobster tails from the seafood case. I believe they were 6 bucks each, and maybe four ounces each, max. He brought them to me and I cooked them up, not thinking much of it as I had purchased them before from Albertsons. My first bite was ok.... my friend had eaten one by the time I had my second bite and smelled the STRONG smell of ammonia, which after further examination, was on ALL the tails. I quickly told him to stop eating and gathered up the other tails and remaining shells from my friends plate and drove them down the street with the receipt. I went to the customer service desk and was greeted by the manager, KIMMY? She immediately apologized and took me back to the seafood counter. The seafood counter quickly replaced my tails with frozen ones, and gave me an extra for my troubles. Kimmy apologized again and sent me on my way,. After three years, this was the first time I ever had a problem, but was extremely satisfied with the customer service here. read more

This store has good selection on most things. They don't yet cater to all the organics, but they are certainly growing. The bakery is great and always has great cookies cheap! Lots of breads to choose from. The personnel (who are never there at night) is always some kid from the dairy, who always helps greatly. I see him in all the departments, seems knowledgeable. The deli is great! They have a lot of great selection, but when I come at night, they are usually just staring to close. The deli girls are all real nice and will help me even if they are putting stuff away. That is good service. The employees are really nice especially the guys in the dairy department. They always make sure they have products I want. They are also lower priced most of the time and have a large dairy section with lots of choices. The kid in the glasses always makes it look very nice when I am shopping, having it all clean and faced, and is pleasure to talk with. Their butcher block is good, but they need to clean it, it smells like fish. Not too fond of one of their butchers who seems unclean. Their prices are higher then other places, so I don't often by from their department. The cashiers are kind and nice. I just bought a 6 piece chicken from their deli... IT WAS THE WORST CHICKEN I HAVE EVER ATE. This used to be a decent deli, but I haven't gotten edible food from this deli in a year. I didn't think any deli could be worse than the Safeway on 196th an 99,, until now. The sparrow legs were tougher than shoe leather and the breasts were older than my grandfather. This albertsons is about 1/2 mile from my condo so it becomes a second home to me. Albertsons always has the best value when things are on sale so its my favorite grocery store, so Im happy there is one conveniently located in the Terrace. This is your typical albertsons, its a little smaller than the one in James Village in lynnwood but packs everything you need in here nicely. Staff is ok I guess, with self checkout its nice not having to talk anyone if your antisocial like me ha. Parking is easy and plentiful unlike other grocery store lots which are nightmares. There are 2 redboxes outside, so you can pick up a movie before doing your food shopping too. If you live in the area, I guess this is where ya go anyways so no need to recommend it I guess. read more

Where to start? The bakery is awful. I think everything in there was previously frozen. The produce is almost gross, and very expensive. The fried chicken is the only reason to come to this store at all. The meat and seafood is no good and very expensive as well. My Albertson's closed down so I had to find another store, that one closed too, so I had to find another bakery. I tried a couple of other stores like safeway, but didn't get the results I had gotten before. I had forgotten about this Albertson's, but remembered when Safeway messed up. This is my local Albertson's and we go here every so often. but I agree that you really have to watch the prices here. Safeway is definately cheaper. We shop here when we do because of the meat counter. Theirs is usually well priced, unlike the rest of the store, and well stocked. To say that this stores check out area is understaffed is an under statement. They lean way too much on their self scans, which work well, but definitely do not replace a friendly place. Ive been there in the middle of a busy Sunday afternoon to witness two checkers working with lines about ten or so deep. This generally isnt the exception, so I definately wouldnt shop here if you are in a hurry or are inpatient. read more

This is the closest supermarket to my house and don't understand the gripes about customer service because I've always had exceptional customer service there. Good wine selection, separate area for "health food" and good sales. Yes, there isn't as much produce variety as I would like, but I just moved from California, so I'm spoiled in that department. They almost always have buy one, get two (sometimes 3!) free to sell their almost expiring meat and have stocked my freezer with chicken, pork and beef for cheap. Yes, if I want more produce, I can drive farther, or go to Safeway near my work, but for the convenience, I'm happy. read more

They have the things you'd expect any other grocery store to have, except for they keep the peanuts by the beer, rather than in the snack section. That was confusing. But regardless of what they carry, they do have a decent produce section and offer plenty of healthier natural foods, the wait is unacceptable. If you go between the hours of 4 and 8 pm (you know, when you actually GO grocery shopping) you're going to wait for 10-20 minutes to get checked out. They recently did away with the self checkouts, and will routinely only have two or three checkers active during peak hours. Now I don't know if they're being cheap and don't want to deal with the hours, or what. But this low level staffing is unacceptable. There's a Fred Meyer right down the street, granted it's further from my house, but I've been going there instead. It's totally bad management, and I've talked to multiple people who are leaving. I really do enjoy the checkers that work there, they're always friendly, but until management does something, I can't recommend it. Stay away. read more

We ordered a wedding cake from Albertson's after seeing other favorable reviews in the Denver area. The cake was beautiful and delicious and only cost around $200 with the summer discount! I had interviewed several bakeries for cake and cupcake options and was not happy with the $500 to $700ish price tags plus delivery and set up. For my money we got a beautiful 3 layer cake, and two sheet cakes for the caterer to cut with ease. We had leftovers they delivered to the Union Gospel Mission on our behalf. I love this store. It's small, the staff are very friendly and I know where everything I need is. My family usually buys our birthday cakes here, impromptu. They are usually pretty good. Yesterday, again when we picked up a cake, we needed an additional decoration but no one was around. After waiting awhile, I asked a cashier (I didn't get her name but she is super nice) who promptly had the manager come. I am assuming a manager. "Rob" He was so kind and brought the bakery person over to complete my task. All without charge. The cake was extremely yummy and it received many compliments! Thank you Albertson's! I hate that I live so close because this is one of the worst grocery stores around. Their prices are high (much higher than other Albertsons I've been to), they never have enough lanes open, their produce is usually on the verge of going bad, and it's somehow almost always crowded. From my experience, the person that wrote their prices are less than QFC is just wrong. I'm sure some items are cheaper, but on the whole I find them slightly higher than QFC. MOUNTLAKE TERRACE - -WATCH every item rung up. I have been over charged by $16-$25 every time I shop there during the day or evening shift. The night checker lady is professional and does her job correctly. I should not have to go get my refund from her every time I shop in daylight though. The weekly ads are a joke, since they never have 80% of the items available when I shop. The lines are too long and cashiers too busy to give out the 19 rain checks on advertised items not stocked. I think they just bait and switch, over charge me and then are rude. It's all about the cash and lack of customer service at this store. Poorly managed store in so many ways. Prices are higher or the same as QFC or Whole Foods except for about 3 items or non existent sale items. I rather shop at QFC or Whole Foods because the customer service is way better. Albertsons cost more due to the over charges EVERY time, the wasted time getting my refunds, and the multiple trips to actually get the understocked advertised items. This is also the only store where race/gender remarks are made by an assistant manger and not addressed. Oh and if it's on sale with NO limits so you buy a case of what ever item (olives), the aforementioned manager who is racist will verbally attack you in front of the whole store. Corporate was notified by me several times, the wrong person tried a very insincere apology forced by corporate but the employees responsible were never held accountable. Bottom line: it's like shopping in back water Mississippi in 1950. I'm shocked this particular store is even open? Too be fair, the Mountlake Terrace store is the worst. I have been to other Albertsons that were the pinnacle of customer service. The good stores with good customer service and no racists were sold to Haggen. Wahoo! Corporate manager Mark was notified again and still no resolutions, just lip service. Albertsons in Des Moines and Mountlake Terrace he did state were "known in several states as the "worst" for fraud and drug dealing in the parking lots." This tidbit of info given to me by top corporate man Mark. So unless you want to score some fast heroin and underage prostitutes in the parking lots, AVOID this disaster. read more

Every week I make up a shopping list based on the sales at Albertson's, TOP Foods, Safeway & QFC, and Albertson's is consistently higher on prices and worse on sales than the other three. The difference is enough that, even though I bought a gift card on a promo several months back ($330 card for $300 cost), it's still mostly unused because I never find sales worth going to there. The store is clean and pleasant enough, and the location is convenient, but once you know what "sale" prices really are, on price there's just not much reason to go there. It does seem to be the only place around that doubles manufacturer's coupons, so if you're a coupon queen, maybe you can make it worth your while. read more

Never ever buy fish or shellfish here. In my experience ALL Alberton's smell like rotten fish as soon as you enter the store. Yesterday we got a 1.45 Cod fillet to cook tonight. When I opened the package it was so smelly and slimy I gagged. The whole house smells of rotten, decomposed fish. I cannot imagine how this was every offered for human or animal consumption! I have washed my hands twice with kitchen soap than contains lemon and still smell rotten fish. The Mgr I spoke with said since I don't have the receipt it would be "Ok" to just bring the sticker in for a refund. He said not to bring the fish. It's already in my trash bit I'd truly like to stink up the crappy store and show them how they could have caused a severe illness to us! read more

This is my go-to grocery store given it is the closest to my home. They have decent prices, the fruit and vegetables usually look pretty good, the customer service I've experienced is always pleasant, and the bakery provides free cookies for kids. Worst customer service at deli. In the neighborhood, stop by there to get some fried chicken for a small party, 2 orders of 16 pieces chicken. The gal at deli told me one order is too many to fit in a basket. And two orders together are not considered party size because there are not 50 pieces. Seriously? You are going to put 32 pieces chicken into 8 little paper bags? You couldn't put those chicken in two or there baskets? She gave me an eye and shut me off while she was scanning each little paper bag for barcodes. I walked out. Forget about it. I am going back to Safeway. read more

Ive never had a bad time here. This morning, my dog wasnt satisfied with one day of the advent calender, she took the whole month. Plus my graham crust. ( dont worry, shes ok.) So, off to Albertsons to replace before the kid wokeup. They didnt have any more advent calenders, and Jo even helped me look for them. I had a great conversation with her about our dog babies, and later watched some fool run over the orange cone placed as a warning for the speed bumps. I like this store.
