I went on a Monday at 5:00 PM because I was starving but had to get something to eat that could be prepared really quickly due to time... and QFC happen to be in the same plaza so I decided to go to the deli there. It was actually nice that it was the first and closest thing to me when I walked in the doors. The cold section, where they dish you up the amount of food you want, was a little smaller than most delis but they had all the key, typical food that you would be looking for anyway In fact they had two chicken salads that you don't typically see in deli's and they were both delicious. The cranberry and pecan chicken salad, as well as another one that I now can't remember. Both employees were away from the counter working but we're paying close attention to see if customers approached the counter which is really nice since often times at delis they have a tendency to kind of ignore you until you can somehow get their attention or they decide they're done with their current task So one of the employees came right over. I needed to know if the two salads had any gluten in them and he did not know since he said he doesn't typically work at the counter but he offered to go and find out, which he quickly did and was able to actually print out the ingredients so I could also see for myself and not have any doubts. He was so extremely and genuinely friendly, and happy to help. Such a nice change from most customer service these days. I complimented him on his service and told him I recommend he actually work at the counter because he was so good with customers. The other nice thing was that he was quick and everything that he did rather than just taking his time like many deli people do. Which I appreciated since I was so so so hungry I wish I would have gotten his name so he could get credit for his customer service and attitude and efficiency and effectiveness. He was very tall, white, thin...oh and he had a tattoo under his left eye of two arrows. That should help someone know who he is and hopefully give him kudos. So I was able to quickly use the self check out and be on my way. The deli area was also very clean and organized. So I would absolutely return just for the deli itself read more

A very rude cashier & a bag girl! I already had a bad experience before so I rarely go to this QFC, but I was in a hurry before hosting a lunch gathering so I made a quick stop to get a few things. It was a mistake; this particular cashier was not helpful when I asked a question regarding the sale item, and when she was done inputting items, she turned to face a bag girl (who bagged without asking me if I had a bag & argued with me) to make an unpleasant facial expression! It's puzzling what I did to deserve that kind of attitude. If she can't deal with ordinary people, this is not a place for her to work because she is ruining a lot of people's day!!! The QFC in Mountlake Terrace has an amazing spread of offerings in the ice cream/frozen novelties section. The store makes effective use of its shelving and square footage to maximize its offerings across other grocery and general items as well. Pricing was competitive, only down side to that is that they can sell out of items fast. For example, the Rice Chex was on super sale for $1.99 per box with the digital coupon and there was not a single box left on the shelves by the time I checked. On the plus side, Top Pot Doughnuts were on sale for $1.00 a piece today, Monday 12 December 2022, so I got two. They were fresh and absolutely delicious. The English muffins were also a deal. Self check-out kiosks were easy to operate and had no malfunctions. read more

This is a nice location. It was extremely busy. The clerk cashier I had was very friendly and helpful. He had a great attitude. I didn't purchase any food. I went in for flowers to give to a friend in need. I would recommend this location. The floral department is small. Lots of fresh flowers to choose from. I'm overall very pleased with this store, it is my local go to. The only issue I have is the lack of live cashiers in the evening. There was only one cashier on the last time I went, James, and he was great. I have a lot of trouble with those self checkout machines, yes, I'm old. But I'm not dead. My last tab was almost $200. I hope that they will think of keeping more than one live person open in the evening. read more

Somewhat recently, they removed the hand baskets from the store, so your only option is to use a cart, or just hold onto the things you want to buy. It's pretty annoying, and makes the store much more crowded, because, llet me tell you, the aisles are not wide enough for every person to have a cart. I've had multiple occasions where the flow of traffic is stopped simply because.someone is stopped in the aisle near a display, and I can't get around them with a cart. Very annoying. They've also started with creating "digital coupons" which you can only get in their poorly designed app. Once, I ended up being charged an extra $11 on 4 avocados because the sign didn't say it required an app. They fixed it after I complained, but not without a little bit of an attitude. I will generally only go here if they have a specific item I need. Otherwise, I've found myself choosing to go elsewhere. read more

I love him! the cashiers there suck though. the old gal with gray hair- chain smoker mcgee as I call her- always jonesing for a smoke and is SO rude. it is unbelievable how rude she is. If you are a person of color I suggest you DON'T SHOP HERE. By far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. So earlier this morning my 2 year old & I went in to this store to grab a money order. From the moment we stepped into this store I can already feel bad vibes. Since their customer service is inside the liquor store I asked one of the cashier (pointing into the direction where CS desk is) & without a decent response the lady goes, "what do you want from there?" So many times. So rude!!!! So I made my way into the CS desk & here comes the one of the most rudest QFC employee, "yeah what can do for you?" I said "can I please get a money order?" And what he said just blew me out the water, took me by surprise. He said, "OOOOH THAT'S ALOT OF PAPERWORK." All I could say was "I think you can handle it." At this point I just lost interest in getting a MO. I walked out!!!! I'm really appalled by my experience this morning. I drove out of that parking lot in tears, Frustrated & disgusted by someone who's in customer service but saw me/my skin color and he was too quick to judge and too dehumanize me. This is the hardest working QFC team. The store is cramped - I understand a major remodel is afoot, still there is a little of everything: Good Asian market, great produce, excellent meat: Great and many choices in the bakery and the butchers are amazing and do so many small and appreciated touches - pre-orders, cutting up whole chickens, cutting the crabs! My only issues are Kroger/QFC upper management; They keep cutting hours on the long term employees and adding short term newbies - as a business proactive I think its abhorrent - to avoid paying benefits. It is the eyes above the mask and the connection with your team that is a key factor in WHERE I shop. read more

What really is not enjoyable is these self check out machines which always take so much time with large orders and still need a staff member to come by 2-3 times. I have always found this grocery store laidback and not well managed. I have not visited this store in about 6 or 7 months. Since it is close to me I thought I would make a quick run. That was a mistake. Coronavirus precautions were, of course, not well managed. Manager did not respond to the need for more open check stands until my line had been standing there for 30 minutes. Everyone was annoyed. I only saw cleaners at the shopping carts not throughout the store. I won't be going back . The managers do just enough and really not enough. This has become a shabby small family market not a chain store. I hope I don't become sick because I made what was to be a "quick run" here. Hopefully, my mask was enough to keep me safe. read more

This place is right up the street from me so it's very convenient. The staff all seem to be nice and friendly. There are a couple of staff members that seem to go the extra mile and remember the locals. They usually chat about the Seahawks, the weather, the boating experience they went on the weekend before, or whatever is going on. Like talking to an old friend you've known for years. You can tell the meat is high quality and fresh. Not the cheapest though unless you catch one of their good sales. The produce department is mediocre, not the worst but just doesn't seem to be that inviting. They have a good selection of wines and there normally is a lady during the day time roaming around there that will help you with pairing or picking out a bottle for the night. The prices are moderate but if hit the sales right you can make out great! Also, it is always accommodating for those 1:30am beer runs! read more

It's a store. It's open 24h. Okay, cool, whatever. Relative to the nearby 24h Safeways and TOP and the fairly close 24h Albertsons, the selection is mediocre and the prices are pretty high. But it's really close to my house so I go anyway. What has earned my one-star ire is the recent trend to mark entire shelves of products with huge stickers proclaiming "low price!". The grammatical trick here is that, even though the prices have gone *up* since they started doing this, the tagline doesn't claim the prices are low*er*. "Low" is a meaningless subjective judgment, so they can slap it on anything and won't ever be lying, even though nobody will read the phrase literally. I am not a fan of this deceptive form of marketing. read more

While I don't do the majority of my grocery shopping here, I'm glad that we have this QFC. Out of all the other stores I do my shopping, QFC is usually my first choice when I want fresh produce and meats for my meals. There are a lot of positives to this QFC. Most of the staff are very helpful and make a point to remember their customers. Also, I like QFC's selection of meat. They have ground beef that's high quality and often on sale for a steal of a price. Flank steak, and pork tenderloins are often on sale there too, and always of great quality. Their produce section is also pretty expansive and fresh. A couple of the ladies who work checkout have attitudes, and aren't very gentle with the produce. The other thing that could be better is the size and selection offered. Compared to some QFC's in Edmonds, our selection is a lot smaller. No freshly rolled sushi and cali rolls here. The bagels and baked good are also not the freshest. The best part of having this QFC in the neighborhood is that It's next to my gym, within walking distance to my house, and it's open 24 hours a day. You just can't really beat that. read more

2.5 stars... really?!?! I'm docking a star because it's on the expensive side and the selection is not the widest. Other than that, this is an EXCELLENT grocery store. I wasn't thrilled with the idea of moving out to Mountlake Terrace for a variety of reasons; I didn't think I wanted a small-town environment. Two kids later, I've changed my mind a bit and I don't miss the city as much as I thought I would. Anyway, this grocery store is one of the things I would never find in Seattle proper. The employees are outstanding. If you come here often, you know what I'm talking about. There is something really nice about the dynamic here, and it keeps me coming back in spite of the fact that I could drive 10 more minutes for a better deal. Full disclosure: my first job was bagging groceries for QFC (not this one). I remember very little from the courtesy clerk training, save this paraphrased little bit: our exceptional customer service is what will make customers pay the extra money to shop here. At 16, I thought it was total crap. At 30, it turned out to be true. I just hope that the extra money I'm paying goes to those guys' salaries. Oh, and the produce is pretty stellar, too. 24 hr grocery store, just a few blocks from home, nice. Clean, has most of my usual staples, checkout area is a bit tight so occasionally it's a minor hassle to navigate that end of the rows, and the meat department is on the small side. With Double DD meats right across 5 and two Central Markets within easy driving distance, I usually only hit up QFC for meat when they have really good sales, anyway, like when they sell whole chickens for .88 a lb. Deli staff has always been pleasant, helpful, and quick, and they carry some yummy low-lower sodium choices. The produce section, while not having as much variety as CM or a farmer's market, definitely works for when we've run out of something and need to make a quick run. Also, important to me, at least, we've never had an issue with checkout. They charge us the stated price, only once per item, each appropriate discount is given, each item makes it into the bag, and each bag makes it into the cart. That shouldn't be surprising, after all, every store should do that, right? Amazing how many times other stores manage to somehow mess up that simple concept. Before we moved to WA, we used to shop at Kroger for the bulk of our shopping, and picked up more specialty items and meats from a Central Market (completely different company from the WA Central Markets, same general idea) so it was a little bit of familiarity to walk into a QFC here. read more

The store is clean and laid out well. The deli lady was nice. Variety of products seem pretty fair. Prices are pretty expensive. I checked out the wines and they tended to be a buck or two more than TOP. Checkout was pretty speedy but curt. No long lines but with those prices that is not surprising. The people at QFC MLT are great. I've been shopping there for years. Both my wife and I are treated very well. Bob, Chris and Linda are amazing. They have to put up with a lot during their shifts. As a former grocery worker, I know what it takes to get through the day. Anytime I go to another store, I just don't feel as welcome as I do at this store. I have read some of the negative reviews. There are no stores that will never make a mistake. Furthermore, these negative people almost always bring their own crap with them. Its not about the store, it's about customers frame of mind when they go shopping, they just take it out on the people who work there. When there is a problem, MLT QFC has always, and I mean always, made it right. This will remain my store for life. read more

I'm A QFC for life kind of person, because I grew up going to one and always liked their selection and products more than Safeway's (don't even get me started on Albertson's...gross.) So I shop here partly out of habit, and partly because their produce, dairy, and meat departments keep things fresh and varied. But man, a bad customer service experience can really make or break my opinion of a store. I feel less and less welcome every time I shop here. The cashiers are either distracted and ignore me completely while they talk to each other, or they range from sullen to downright rude and condescending (eye rolls and "you're an idiot" expressions are not uncommon.) I get the feeling that sometimes they're really understaffed, so it could be the manager who is causing this issue. But really, I've worked customer-facing food service jobs before, and it's not that difficult to be a decent human being, particularly when your customers are being polite and patient. read more

Geez - I go to this QFC ALL the time because it is on my way home AND I'm talkin' like after midnight. If I had alternatives, I would certainly choose them. Almost everytime I drive up, the employees are right out front smoking. Hey, I AM a smoker too, but geez, it's such a turn-off. Then, when I go get my six-pack, I have to hunt down an employee to ring me up. Can't they just have a bell or something so I don't have to walk around the entire freaking store looking for someone to help me?? Terribly slow checkout during prime time, showed up at the deli for some meat and cheese at 8, Deli sign says open until 9 we were informed we could not get anything because they had shut down the equipment. When asked about the hours we were scoffed at and made to fell awkward while they reluctantly served us. This is not the first time this and similar occurrences have happened. read more

Tomorrow is the beginning of the Jewish Holiday Passover. This QFC had absolutely nothing in stock. Infact they didn't even know anything about what food items are required. I go to that store 2 times a week and spend about $800 a month. I am disabled and live next door, plus I have a home based business and send my employees there to buy business supplies. If QFC doesn't care about their Jewish customers then why should I continue to shop there. Albertsons down the block has Passover supplies and QFC does not. read more

This store is only 3 blocks away from me but I now take the bus to go to Safeway in Lynnwood to shop because this store has the poorest customer service ever! Their sign says the customer service counter is open from 10 am to 7 pm but they actually close it at 6:30 and open it later than 10. When I asked what the deal is, nobody could tell. No, this isn't a one time occurrence. I made the mistake of unfortunately coming here twice for the same reason but never, ever again. Safeway has never failed me yet. read more

I have been shopping her for over 20 years. The 2 equally great things about this store are the employees who always have a smile and the freshness of the meat & produce. There are bigger stores, there are cheaper stores, but if I'm looking for a warm human experience where folks smile or ask if I'm finding everything after a day in downtown Seattle and a commute through the Mercer Mess this is where I come on my way home.
