Stopped by here on our way out for coffee from the Starbucks inside so the review is based on what we saw while walking around and the few people we interacted with. The ladies working the Starbucks were friendly and talkative which was nice. The drinks were hot and well done. My husband couldn't remember the name of one of the holiday drinks and the lady taking our order ran through the options with him and he ended up figuring out exactly which one it was with her help. We stopped by the customer service desk for an item and the lady behind there was friendly as well, I did get carded for a scratch off which was nice even if it's policy! So maybe have your ID for any purchases that require and age limit. When we walked it we noticed it was clean and organized like most other Safeway's. read more

Came here on a Saturday evening and the place was huge,selection was huge and it wasn't even crowded; The bathroom however was kind of a mess,and it's small and this evening guys were trying to talk to me in there...I don't like to be communal when I'm handling business in the bathroom. read more

Good grocery store with convenient parking and adjacent gas station. This is my go-to grocery store when I'm in town. The folks that work here are great and they have all the basics you need. For more specialty type foods or organic items I do have to seek out Country Aire, but this Safeway is very conveniently located right on 101. Gas prices are very reasonable and of course if you're a loyal Safeway customer you probably have fuel rewards that get you discounts on fill ups here. read more

worst customer service I've ever seen in a safeway owned pharmacy. got a doctor's office call to them at 9 :30 am for ear drops, waited all day with a painful ear infection. at 2:30 p. m. we emailed and asked if prescription was ready, no reply. the next day i called , and was told they didn't have it but would order it couldn't tell me when it might get there . So i asked if they could call the other Safeway pharmacy in town and see if they had it. i was told they couldn't do that. I'm changing my pharmacy need over to Walmart from now on Safeway pharmacy sucks. read more

Cheapest gas prices in the area. Grocery store is clean and well organized. Prices were good and I was able to find everything we needed. Nice bakery area too. Great spot for groceries / gas when visiting the Port Angeles/ Sequim / Olympic National Park area. read more

Wife ordered simple cold sandwich from deli. Young woman seemed like she was making first sandwich ever in her life. Nervously (or something else) shook the entire time. Asked wife if she wanted one or two pieces of bread. Wife should've answered in her best Jack "A Few Good Men" Nicholson voice: "Two - is there any other kind?" Woman asked wife if she wanted it cut in half. Yes. Wrapped both halves up, and charged wife for two sandwiches. Wife had to explain to incredulous woman that it was one sandwich sliced in half. Lucky for me, I had just grabbed a no-prep cinnamon roll from the bakery. read more

We had a lovely Safeway in my previous town which was well lit, reasonably priced, and which had wonderful customer service both at the store and pharmacy. The store in Port Angeles is unfortunately not this way. The entire store, especially the bakery side is poorly lit which gives a poor presentation, especially if you need to read a label and don't have sufficient lighting to do such. I had two very poor experiences with the pharmacy. In the first instance, a pharmacy tech messed up my prescription order and had to re-do it, twice in the same visit. After all was said and done, I had spent an hour of my time waiting on something that should have taken 15 minutes. The second instance was similar and I was brushed off. I had to speak to the Pharmacist to explain that this was not the first time and that I was very disappointed by the technician's handling of my situation. The third instance of poor customer service was with the bakery. I had called several stores to see if one had a specific cake which I was trying to find for a loved one. Every store, with the exception of Safeway, was helpful and kind. When I called Safeway, the bakery associate was short and rude. She said that she had no idea what cakes they carried and was the only employee on the floor and would not check to find out if they carried the cake. Customer service is so important in this world, and we make a choice every time we spend a dollar at a location. My dollars will be spent elsewhere I am afraid. I do hope that Safeway can put some training into customer service in all departments, it would go a very long way. read more

Lorraine was the worst courtesy desk clerk ever. Argued with me about a coupon on my Safeway App that she couldn't get to work. I asked her to call a manager if she couldn't figure it out but she wouldn't do it. She just did an "override" instead. Why not do that in the first place instead of arguing with a customer? They also have no self check registers and lines are always really long. read more

This is a great store! The people who work here are always friendly and always ask if we found everything we were looking for. The meat/butcher Dept is excellent with quality meats the produce is local and the baked goods fresh and the deli/hot food too.. They have awesome sales on a regular basis, holidays are especially festive, the gas prices are great too. So stop on in you'll be glad you did read more

The fine young Lady working the Starbucks tonight 5-9-2015 at closing should be fired. I arrived at about 6:55 and waited patiently while she took forever making 2 coffees for the people in front of me in line. When they move to the pick up side she told me she'd be right with me. Then she said we're closed can I help you. I said I'd like a triple americano. At this point she gave me a trailer park stare. You know the kind. It was like I stole her crack pipe. She let out a big sigh then started knocking cups and pans together like she had somewhere else to go. She needs to go back to selling crack. BTW Safeway was fine except for her....the girl with the tatoos. Hope she learns to treat people like she wants them to return soon.....just another reason to hate Starbucks. read more
