There are more stuff and products in this location than most safeways around where i live, as usual staff mostly are sloppy and have that unwillingness look to help.. Pro: moderate size parking lot, coin star & Pokemon card vending machine, Starbucks inside, clean interior, self checkout machine. Con: price, no one at the customer counter at times. Just a good ole Safeway that anyone can stop by to pick up some grocery. I been here a few times here and there throughout the year. The parking lot is moderate size so no issue finding parking and shopping carts are restock near the entrance fairly well. The inside is clean and the shelves are stocked fairly well. Safeway a bit pricy on some items but they do have price sales from time to time. Overall an ok place to do shopping if you are in the neighborhood. read more

Great Safeway location that's pretty clean and organized. This Safeway is located in the Cloverly Shopping Center with a large parking lot filled with plentiful parking spots. Rachelle, a childhood friend of mine works as the florist there and she does an incredible job at creating arrangements for her customers. She's super friendly and has always been friendly with everyone she meets. Really professional and would highly recommend going to for any floral or ballon needs. The employers here are very professional as well. There's been a few times where I wasn't able to locate a particular item and was assisted almost immediately by a team member. Their items are always fresh and they do a great job rotating their inventory from those closest to expiration up front and newer items in the back. There have been a few times where I've picked up yogurt that expired 1 or 2 days after its printed date, but other than those experiences, I've never had a serious issue. This Safeway location works pretty efficiently where self-check out is on one end of the store and on the other is a lane opened for 10 items or less. All other check-out lanes are available to anyone. There hasn't really been an issue with handling long lines or having to wait long either. I also recommend participating in the Monopoly Game Board whenever it comes along. I've won gift card prizes before and it's a nice way to earn coupons, discounts and money back after purchasing groceries. There's also a rewards program affiliated for in-store discounts as well as gas discounts whenever you enter your phone-number affiliated with the account. I would definitely like to consider this Safeway as one of the better locations in the area and will continue to support their business. UPDATE with COVID19: Supplies are limited with toilet paper and cleaning supplies. Food supplies are decent and employees are working really hard to restock produce and supplies. Please continue to be kind and mindful of others while shopping. I know my family and I rely on this grocery store specifically quite often since it's closest to our house. I've been to this grocery store several times over the past few years. The shelves are generally well stocked, the lines move quickly (self-checkout is the way to go here), and there's a Starbucks inside. Take care when purchasing refrigerated food items from those square fridges with the open tops---several months ago I found single-serve yogurt cups that were room temperature and reported it to the cashier, who said he'd have someone check the thermostat on it. I returned a few days ago and noticed the issue remains. I also visited the pharmacy to pick up a prescription, and the pharmacist was friendly and quick. She also informed me of the new loyalty program for repeated pharmacy fills. I don't buy anything regular price unless I have to; the sale prices are aplenty and I never have any issues of overspending. read more

Not a regular Safeway shopper but came in here to get some fever-tree mixers for my cousin's Memorial Day get together and this was on my way there. The store wasn't too crowded and I found what I needed. I proceeded to the check-out line. I started to put the items on the belt and the very aggressive employee (Darnell) shouted at me saying, "leave them in the cart." Um...ok. I mentioned that I needed bags. I don't know if he just didn't hear me or ignored me, but I mentioned it again and nothing. Very awkward so I just paid and left. Very turned off from this location :( read more

This Safeway is right around the corner from my boyfriend's place so I come here often. I originally was hesitant in coming here because I did not think they would have everything I needed as far as organic and vegan options. However, I was wrong. They have the Organics brand that they sell and organic produce section. There's a lot to choose from so I will definitely come back for the majority of my groceries. read more

The store is clean. Safeway has a much larger inventory than Aldi, but the prices are higher. When I want a sale item, I take a picture to show the cashier if needed. The sales aren't always updated and if you don't watch each item being rung up, you may get charged the regular price. I asked the cashier if all sale items were credited. She said, "I think so." The manager was nice about refunding price of the sale item but that extended my time in the store. The Safeway store brand (Signature Kitchens) has some reasonably priced items. read more

I'm writing this review despite my past experiences at Safeways because I just received the best customer service at a grocery store that I've ever gotten! Seriously, I was hungry, tired and sore from my run and all I had to do was get beef broth and onions for this kickass French onion soup I was going to make for me and my SO. Let me just say, go on a Thursday night because there is literally no one there. What does that mean? All the onions to yourself. ALSO, the best customer check out line ever. The cashier was quick with the transaction and the bagger was even faster. Ninjas!! Anyways, these kids are just trying to work their first job while still being in school, so give them a break. Although this Safeway is normally kept pretty tidy, I have brought produce home and cut it open to find mold inside (red pepper). This last time I went, I bought little smokey hot dogs and saw when I got home that the "sell by" date is in 2 days (hotdogs? How long have those been on the shelf?!?) It's too bad that I feel like I need to check the dates and freshness of the groceries I buy here, it is failing its potential to be a nice store. Also, they fail to have enough cashiers at all times (especially mornings, even on weekends). When paying, go to the white guy with white hair... he is fast and pleasant despite seemingly often being the only one working the lines. read more

Only because they are close to me, I deal with them. They are the closest grocery store for miles. They stay busy yet only open 2 registers. I stood in a line 15 mins long with a pint of Talenti gelato. THAT'S IT! Nothing convenient about this joint, I'm sorry. Nothing outstanding about it, nothing horrible. This Safeway is not the closest one to me. I come here because it has a better produce and seafood selection than the one in Brigg Chaney and it is also cleaner. Okay this isn't a review for the Safeway it's for the Starbucks INSIDE the safeway. The employees don't even get me started on how rude they are. One employee is so rude. They always give me dirty looks and my sister once told me so I had to go rlly quickly somewhere and my sister stood there Infront of that "employee" and she said some nasty things about me like I was FAT! And also said that I give as rude attitude TO HER! I don't even! Another time I ordered a Java chip and quickly changed my mind to midnight mint and guess what IT WAS THAT SAME STUPID EMPLOYEE and to top it all off I got a Java chip NOT A MIDNIGHT MINT and it didn't even taste like it. While she was making it the whipped cream kinda exploded on her, I laughed and she yelled at me and gave me some dirty undeceiving looks it was horrible. And ever since that day I never returned to that very Starbucks well it was last week BUT WHATEVER! BTW THIS PART IS A REVIEW FOR THE SAFEWAY: Okay something else I want to share is that last year I wanted to make marshmallow whipped cream so I got marshmallow fluff and I never thought to look at the expiration date probably because I was stupid and thought the food was fresh from a low rated "grocery store" well oh well it was FOUR YEARS expired! This Safeway is a just a shell of what it used to be. Two Giant grocery stores sandwich this safeway with cheaper prices, greater stock and better services. This used to be the go to store for produce but I can safely say its been hit or miss for over a year with consistently poor or bad fruit mixed in with the good fruit. Lately, on multiple occasions I have found expired food on the shelves. This is a horrible little Safeway and for some reason my Mother shops there. I think it's because it's close to home and she's used to it. First, they have two entrances but at the entrance we used, there were no carts so I walked to the other end of the store to get one from the other entrance. The personnel are not helpful. Our cashier hardly looked at us during the transaction. My Mom forgot to present her coupons and the cashier directed us to Customer Service where there was NOBODY staffing the desk. I asked another cashier if someone was working there and she pointed yonder and said she's over there. I told Mom to use her coupons on her next shopping trip, hopefully at Giant! read more

I love this Safeway, I'm a regular here. My bank and pharmacy are conveniently located inside. There is even a Starbucks if that's your thing. Yes late at night, they only have the left entrance open, but that's because there are very few people stopping at that time, it isn't practical having fewer employees watching both entrances. I've always had pleasant interactions with everyone who works there. The organization of the the groceries is very intuitively organized. I think they use this in all Safeway's. Love the quality of meats and vegetables here. read more

I've been going to this Safeway on and off for the last 20-something years, only when really necessary, and for whatever reason it's still mediocre. A chronic issue is the lack of cashiers, frozen veggie section lacking adequate choices, and in general it isn't very clean.
