Updated 2.16.26: I'm a fan of the Safeway bakery and they had a good sale on a variety of cakes. Store was clean and well-stocked. I purchased 3 items and utilized the self-checkout. ZERO STARS I have been using this pharmacy for around 12 years, and the level of incompetence has become unbelievable. It feels like every single time we come here, something is wrong -- prescriptions aren't ready, medications are out of stock, or we get texts saying prescriptions are ready only to show up and find out they're not. Today was the final straw. I went in to pick up a prescription after receiving a text at 5:00 p.m. saying it was ready. When I got there, they told me they had nothing ready and then casually said it had been "put back on the shelf yesterday." I asked how long it would take to get it ready again, and her answer was, "a while." So I left with my three kids and drove 10 minutes back home. By the time I got home, I had another text saying it was ready. How is 10 minutes "a while"? And if it could be fixed that quickly, why wasn't it ready when I was standing there? The previous incident was when they couldn't even completely fill our kids' antibiotics because they didn't have enough medication in stock. We had to partially fill it and then come back three days later to get the rest. Unfortunately, this is not unusual here -- it's a constant pattern. There is always a line, the staff always seems overwhelmed, and honestly you're lucky if you leave with the medication you came for. After more than a decade of dealing with these complete failures, I am moving all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy further down the road. I bought 4 packages of tulips for my Mom on Mother's Day last year. When she removed the wrapping, all of the petals fell off! I was so surprised and embarrassed that this happened. I brought them back to the Floral Department Manager and explained the situation. She was so rude, and so was the Manager on duty! They treated me horribly, and haven't been back!! This location is very spacious, both the store and its parking. There's always plenty of selection for produce and other products that are both pantry and fridge staples. The staff are nice, always either greeting me or my family with a "hi!" or starting conversations during checkout. Some of them even offer stickers for my little girl when we bring her along with us for grocery runs. Obviously not the fault of staff but this particular location is so pricey. It's sad that it's one of the closest stores near where we live so it's our go-to when we have to do an emergency shopping. read more

since you can't give a zero star I had to give 1 star which it actually deserves negative stars at the Spokane valley WA store. The staff was letdown. I encountered several employees who seemed completely disinterested in helping customers. When I finally found someone to ask a question, they were rude and dismissive, as if my inquiry was an inconvenience. To top it all off, the checkout process was a nightmare. The lines were long, and there were only a couple of registers open, despite the store being busy. When I finally reached the cashier, they seemed overwhelmed and made several mistakes with my order. Overall, my experience at [Store Namel was frustrating and disappointing. I will not be returning and would not recommend this store to anyone looking for a pleasant shopping experience. read more

I have been calling the pharmacy multiple times throughout the day for days. They never answer. I need to refill my son's prescriptions! Ever since the Albertsons became a Safeway the service has become terrible there. The constantly remove prescriptions from auto refill, and rarely do they answer they phones anymore. It's a hassle, I'm going to move all our prescriptions to Costco. read more

Prices are high and commonly out of stock on some very basic staple items. The deli is unreasonably over priced.

Had to make a quick stop in at my local Safeway on Trent. Was by myself with my young children, at checkout scanning my items as the self checkout worker came up to me to compliment my kids. Normal for me until she tried to pick up my child by putting her hands under her armpits motioning to lift her out of my personal stroller. I called the manager after I got back safely to my car and was told that she just doesn't understand boundaries. Please be careful with your young children around this woman. Didn't get her name but I have seen her multiple times and have had to tell her multiple times not to touch my children. read more

Cashier at self-checkout this evening was rude and didn't know what she was talking about. The item I was buying was ringing up different than the sticker, so I went and took a picture and she refused to fix it. She totally wasted my time and I walked out without buying anything. Also the produce at this location is awful, so much moldy old food. read more

I hate being harsh in my reviews, but this store was not laid out well. My friend and I kept having to go around in circles all over the store to find pretty basic things. Why, oh why, do they only offer hazelnut syrup in the big bottle?? This seems like one of the syrups that should come in the smaller bottles! Tracking down Oreos was a pain, but we eventually found them. Not fun, but very glad that we eventually found all ingredients to make our delicious miltons. read more

I hate to give bad reviews, but if I could give zero stars here, I would. My complaint is with the deli department. Last night we stopped by Albertsons to get a 14 piece chicken piece meal, and we should have known that something was up when they weren't putting the food in a clear bag so that we could see what we were getting. We got home and couldn't have been more dissatisfied with our purchase. 5 pieces of chicken actually had meat on the bone. 5 out of 14. The remainder of the chicken looked like bones that had been deep fried, I kid you not. This family of 6 was very disappointed with our experience and will not be going back. read more

Everything about this store is awful. They must be trying to save money on curtesy clerks because they never have any. Every line is at least 4 people deep although they say after three people on line they will call another checker. Also, they never ring everything up correctly in a transaction. After every grocery shopping trip I inspect my receipt and find at least one mistake where I was overcharged, so then I get to go from the long checkout line to the long customer service line to get the mistake corrected. Also, it seems to have become a prerequisite that you have to be wearing cartoon character fleece pajama pants to shop there..... Store and clientele have gone so far down hill. I like Yokes so much more. Even the employees hate it, they all whine about their jobs when checking my groceries. read more

HORRIBLE PHARMACY. I've had 3 prescriptions sent to this pharmacy, each time they've said they never received it. I have to tell them the confirmation time & then they magically find it. I've called ahead twice to have a prescription ready & even with an hour advance notice they don't have it filled. I've had several customers in line experience the same problem. Very poorly ran, not worth dealing with them. read more

My husband and I walked in to this store to find a display table of large pies that were marked down half price. Since we came to pick up a dessert for a get-together, we chose one of the pies. Once we went to the check-out, we were told that those particular pies were not discounted which seemed deceptive to us since they appeared to be stacked over the sales sign. The checker asked us to hold on while he ran to check the display table. When he returned, he agreed that the display was misleading and gave us the pie at the same sale price. On top of that, he offered us a free piece of candy while checking out. We were very pleased with Albertson's customer service. Thank you for doing the right thing and putting your customer's first instead of thier money. You have integrity! read more

If there was the option to give this pharmacy zero stars I would do it! This pharmacy is a joke they have been saying that they are "transferring their system over" for about six months now and still nothing works. All of my prescriptions are on auto refill and are NEVER automatically refilled then when I come in they make me wait an hour and say that they will fill them for me so I opt into coming back another day and guess what they're still not filled. Even if you call ahead to make sure they are filled once you get there surprise surprise they're not! Find somewhere else to go do not use this pharmacy!! read more

UNSAFE PHARMACY!!! they sold my medication to someone else!!! I called this pharmacy to see if I could fax in my prescription as they were closed when I finished my appointment and I was at work to see if I could fax in my prescription, to which I was told no, but no explanation as why. So I called Safeway's pharmacy (Newport hwy.)and was told no, but also explained that it was because only a doctor can. So I asked my dentist to call and request it at this Savon for me. Three hours later, an hour before I plan to leave work, I call to check on my prescription status and I was vaguely told no, no one has called, and we have nothing. I called my dentist, and my dentist said to have them check their voicemail that they left...3 hours ago. I relayed the message to Savon and after a long hold, was told it would be done in about an hour. Which was great. My dentist even called me to let me know it was ready for me to pick up. BUT THEN I get there, wait in line, only to get to the counter and be told my prescription had been sold to someone else. Strange, I thought they had to check the last name. And date of birth. I was also told nothing could be done until the stranger they sold MY MEDICATION to, brought it back. He left him a voicemail. We weren't the same gender, our last names are similar I guess, I highly doubt we have the same birthday. And all of my personal info like that is on that bottle. Thaaanks. I just hope it doesn't happen with the wrong type of medication with someone who's allergic, or doesn't notice and ends up not ever taking the proper meds. Don't go here people! read more

Bought some food there, make sure you check the expiration dates in the diary section. Not that you should have too, that's why such a low rating. And the yogurt I bought wasn't just a couple days expired, try 2 weeks. Yes, I called and they offered to refund me and all, but I don't have the receipt. it's just an inconvenience since I rarely shop there. read more

My wife got in a car accident and when we got to the pharmacy, the pharmacists refused to help us because as he said "we are closing in 2 minutes," if I refused a customer because we we're closing soon, I would get fired. Completely unacceptable. read more
