I never really anticipated a bad experience, and it wasn't all that terrible, however, the clerk completely forgot to make my breakfast wrap and there was a lady that ordered 10 mins after me that got her food before me. I was already half way through my drink and I was shocked. The clerk even looked at me and said "oh sorry I forgot about your wrap it's coming out soon". To top it all off I ended up getting sick when I ate half of it, and I feel like the only reason the wrap made me sick to my stomach was because the young man was rushing to get my order out. Not a very good first time experience at this location, and it's sad to say this will be my last time here because the last thing I need is food poisoning. While it's not a whole section like other locations, this Giant does have an aisle dedicated to organic foods which I didn't expect in Fredneck. I love that I can get my fave brand of turkey sausage now because Wegman's sure doesn't carry it. There is a bakery cart in the corner of the dairy aisle that usually has plenty of fresh baked items at big discounts. We love scoring banana creme cake there! Another nice thing is that they usually have a bagger helping people who choose self checkout. One con I've noticed is that they never have fresh wingettes in stock, only frozen ones.

I have been shopping at the store for 14 years and at another Giant Food in Delaware for an equivalent amount of time. When I tried to check out, the electronic check service that Giant uses declined to approve my check. The store manager was sympathetic but was not allowed by corporate policy to override the service under any circumstances. A later received an email from Customer Service explaining their policies and and they were happy that my issue was resolved. I talked with Giant customer support and after I explained the situation and my customer history, which they verified, 2000 rewards points were added to my card. This should have been enough to get a $2.00/gallon discount on gas. Shortly after that, I filled by car with gas but only a $0.40/gallon discount was allowed. Ten days later, I tried again but no bonus points were available. My only conclusion is that Customer Service reneged on the bonus points award after reviewing the action. I obviously am generally happy with Giant Food given that I've shopped there for years. The store has a good variety of goods, is kept clean and neat, and the staff is friendly, to the point that I have family conversations with a few of the clerks. However, despite the number of commercials on area stations touting their service, they have failed in this case.

However, this fine grocery store had not closed, and rather, it closed briefly about 3 years ago and then moved just a short distance from its old location on West Patrick Street, and popped up again in short order at 45 Waverly Drive, less than a block from its old location (which had been near the intersection of West Patrick St. and Waverly Dr.) and still to the north of West Patrick St. So, this grocery store is still open, and doing fine, and it seems to use both the shortened name Indian Bazaar and the longer name Frederick Bazaar - Indian-Pak Grocery Store. Currently the hours are 10 AM to 8:30 PM, according to the store manager with whom I spoke on Jan. 20, 2016. BTW, the current primary phone # for the store is (301) 668-8899. The old phone # (ending in 2090), for the old location, which still shows on the older (CLOSED) Yelp listing, is no longer the correct number. I submitted some edits to Yelp on Jan. 22, 2016 to enable the creation of this new listing for the shop, one which updates the name of the shop, and also corrects the street address and the phone number. This is a very good grocery store that offers an excellent selection of Indian and Pakistani and related grocery items, including a large array of refrigerated and frozen foods. In my experience, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and when I called the other day just to be sure that they are still open (I was last in the store a few months ago), the older man who answered the phone was very helpful. And, during a recent visit to the shop on Jan. 22, 2016, even though the shop was incredibly crowded, the staff was very calm and helpful. Incidentally, all of the prices here seem to be very inexpensive. To my best knowledge, this is still the only Indian and Pakistani grocery store in Frederick MD. Yes, there are one -- and sometimes two (the number fluctuates) -- general Asian markets located in Frederick, and each of them do claim to offer at least a small selection of Indian foods, but neither of them offers the vast array of Indian and Pakistani foods that are offered by Indian Bazaar, aka Frederick Bazaar - Indian-Pak Grocery Store! Honestly, I had no idea that Giant Eagle reached this far. I was shocked when I found one in Bedford, PA, but for one to be here, it threw me. This Giant Eagle is part of a larger plaza, I guess you can say that it is the anchor as it is by far the biggest retailer in the plaza. Parking is ample and can make for a quick entry/exit. Inside it is well organized and everything appeared to be stocked. I didn't look around too much as my mind was on gift cards only. I went straight to that area and started to browse. I have to say, they had a fine selection of gift cards and made choosing one a bit hard. I circled the display a few times before honing in on one section and then stayed there for a few good minutes having an inner debate on which gift card would be most appropriate. Once the selection was made I headed for the registers. Made sure to scan my rewards card and was out the door.
