In a larger class, I definitely wouldn't have had that experience especially since I'm usually shy about asking questions. Yolanda was great as well. She scheduled me for a class quickly and even followed up afterward to make sure I received my certification card. As a non nursing medical professional I am not required to have an ACLS cert, but I felt passionately that myself and others that work in hospitals should be aware of how Advanced Life Support works and what general concepts are covered beyond BLS. I will make it a routine to repeat the ACLS class in the years to come because they did such a great job at STAR to put students in simulations that you will actually encounter in healthcare. First I want to express my gratitude to Vince for the BEST BLS training ever!…read more Vince had mentioned before our training that he takes pride in how he teaches the course and said that teaching was his passion! I never felt more confident and prepared after a training like I did after Vince's training. We went through multiple scenarios and he challenged us to think and react naturally and then explained the correct approach and process in a way that didn't make me feel uncertain. Vince used real life scenarios that he had encountered to help us understand better. I attended this school for multiple classes. The instructor is garbage, and all the other staff as…read morewell. They only want your money. Most students are veterans and they take your money. I was a homeless veteran and had to miss a few days because I found a house and roommate, and they dropped me from the course notifying me via email when I walked in. I had a week left and was passing the class, so what's the problem? They then reported to the VA that I failed and they made me pay it all back. Over 4 grand. I didn't realize I was charged by the VA until I failed to receive my BAH from my new school. I had multiple friends leave or get dropped from the course and not have to pay anything back. I'll be getting a lawyer for EO and other things. Stay away if you're a vet
