I have used this company before for standard BLS recerts in the year past. I recently attending an ACLS provider class that I really enjoyed. As a non nursing medical professional I am not required to have an ACLS cert, but I felt passionately that myself and others that work in hospitals should be aware of how Advanced Life Support works and what general concepts are covered beyond BLS. I will make it a routine to repeat the ACLS class in the years to come because they did such a great job at STAR to put students in simulations that you will actually encounter in healthcare. I needed to get CPR and First Aid certification for my job. I perused the Yelp reviews and all looked good. I went to STAR CPR's website and found that they had a hybrid class for the certification level I required. So I signed up for that class. I was very happy that I could go through the material at a self paced rhythm (I can read and grasp concepts/knowledge pretty quickly), so it was a huge plus for me. Then I went in to their physical location for the in class hands on portion, which Amber taught to myself and several others. It was actually very informative and I learned a lot. I learned a lot from both the classroom section as well as the online section. The price was fair and I had my certificate emailed to me on the same day I completed the in person class session.
