They had my car for a week and didn't even start to work on it. No one called me to give me a status update. When I called they gave me no information and no one called me back. These guys repaired our car better than new. After some crazy lady attempted wreckage on our brand new Jeep we were in need of some body repair. After seeing all the yelp reviews for Safford we decided to give these guys a shot and they didn't disappoint. I took it in for an initial inspection and they told me fair and square what they were going to do without any gripes. They set me up with a rental car which was already waiting for me. They worked with our insurance company every step of the way. They emailed me status updates every morning. And they had everything completed on time. They even worked with me to replace some aftermarket parts and custom upgrades at no additional charge. It was all quite painless really. I can't really say enough good about Safford. I used their Springfield location (attached to Hyundai dealership) to fix my truck after I was rear-ended at a traffic light on Saturday. I filed my claim with my insurance on Sunday and dropped my car off Monday. I received a call within an hour giving me an estimate of the cost (to the insurance) and a estimated completion date of one week. They called each day thereafter, giving me updates to the repair and amended timelines. I had also asked them to get a ding removed from the tailgate of my truck, in addition to the covered work. Long story short, they called Thursday - three days early - to let me know my truck was ready to pick up. The work is excellent and the price on the paintless dent removal was fair and the work is superb. Granted, the damage wasn't too bad, but less than a week after the accident, my truck is as good as new! The entire process was painless and trouble free. Great service, great work. My car was hit twice in two month period, one from behind and other from side. I car needed body shop work, I called my insurance and they send me here for estimate. I was mad because I wanted to take my car to dealer, but thanks god I my insurance refer me to this place. They did a great job both times and they gave me lifetime paint warranty on the part they worked. First of all no one can tell that my car was painted and looks perfect. If any part of paint work they did go wrong, they will redo it again no charge, as long as I own the car. I can not comment of the price, because my insurance paid for everything, but if you need a place for rearing your car or body shop, this place is it. read more

I was terrified after an accident from a parking lot. I like lists so here goes: 1. I was scared they'd take an excessive time to repair. They finished on time. 2. I was scared of lack of communication. They called me every day they had my car and answered ALL of my questions. 3. I was scared I'd get annoying and they'd ignore me. Despite my excessive questions, they remained patient and answered all of them. 4. I was scared the work wouldn't be right and I'd still see the dents. It's freakin prefect. 5. Someone rear-ended my new Acura MDX before it had 2000 miles on it. Talk about frustrating! This was one of many options offered by USAA for a repair center. Chitt told me my car would look like new when I got it back, he was right! It's beautiful, was returned sanitized (nice during these times) and he and his team took extra steps to make it perfect. Not only that, I was on a time crunch, hoping to have this completed before a road trip. This customer is satisfied 100%. Chitt and his team were amazing from the first call to daily texts along the way. It was ready when promised and I couldn't be happier. I was recently in an accident and was hesitate to anywhere my insurance company would send me outside of the dealership. I must say, not only did they walk me through every step, take care of my repairs, and notify me almost daily of the status of my car. When I had a hiccup with a repair, they had me bring my car back and worked around my schedule to make sure it was in perfect condition. I took my car to Safford based on a referral from USAA. (It turns out that they do the bulk of their business with USAA). They were exceptionally courteous and efficient. Repairs (hood and cowling replacement, minor body work) took about 5 days, which is better than average in my experience. During that period they found additional damage that neither I nor the estimator had noticed. They worked it out with USAA without getting me involved. Highly recommend them. read more

Body shop is incompetent. They tried 3 times to repaint my car and they still failed, ultimately forcing me to accept a vehicle with chipping clear coating and badges installed in the wrong place. Never once did they work overtime to make up for their repeated mistakes that caused delays. This was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I had to fire them and cut my losses. Hopefully another local dealer/ body shop can fix this dealer's mistake. read more

Prior to giving them my car to repair it had never had any over heating issues. On the drive back home after they had finished their work my car over heated. I pulled over to the side of the road, walked to a nearby gas station and bought a bottle of radiator coolant. By the time I got back to my car, I was able to safely remove the radiator cap and sure enough the coolant was low. I added the coolant to the system and my car did not overheat again. I called both them and my insurance company to notify them of the issue but said I did not believe there was any damage. As a result of the overheating, I now have a blown head gasket The shop is refusing to take responsibility for the damage they caused. I will never take my car to this shop again and I have recommended to my insurance company they no longer list them as a recommend repair shop. read more

I'm new to Yelp but felt that I had to get on here to review my recent experience at Safford Collision. As a single woman I am sometimes hesitant to take my car in for service. However, when I backed my SUV out of my garage and knocked out my sunroof (it landed on my hood!?!?) I had no choice but to head for a body shop. A friend had recommended Safford to me. It was only about 10 minutes from my house so I decided to check them out. They are actually a relatively new shop, I think they have only been open for a year or so. When I called to make an appointment they told me to come on down at my convenience. When I got there, the manager (Robby) greeted me and had their service writer, Scott, go out to check my car out. After a thorough check, they gave me an estimate and submitted it to my insurance company. It was a total pain free and smooth process. They explained everything to me so that I would understand (not that I am dumb, but half the time I have no idea about car "stuff"). I was able to get updates on my car any time I needed them and my car was actually finished a day early! When I got there to pick up my car it was detailed inside and out, an extra service I was not expecting. I would highly recommend Safford Collision to anyone in the Vienna/McLean/Tysons area or anyone that works in the area. They are right in the middle of Tysons directly behind Safford Fiat (and no, they don't just work on Fiats. I drive a GMC.) Hopefully I will never need them again, but if I do, I wont hesitate to take my car back! read more
