Quality said they could replace it (in less time and at half the cost of the other shop) OR they could repair it at even less cost, though it might not look perfect. worse experience ever.. told the mechanic heat came from only one of four vents.. should have been suspicious when they did not have a diagnostic system and relied on the old two wires across engine component exam... next day the supervisor informed the car needed two catalytic converters and an engine coolant thermostat.. they would need $1000 of $2,800 to start repairs.. picked the car up 5 days later, on way home i noticed there was change to the one vent operation and lack of heat.. immediately called the office to inform I would be brining the car in on the next work day.. the owner greeted me with his defense.. "you brought the car in for engine light on".. told him that was not a service or issue as there was no engine lights on when I brought the car in and the heat was not coming thru all four vents.. by this time he had the mechanic and supervisor to corroborate the alibi. I imagine the final decision will be decided by a judge.. as fate would have it the balance of payment by check did not clear the bank, which made the manager/owner raving mad.. WORD OF CAUTION AVOID MECHANICS WITHOUT PROPER TOOLS. read more

I was in an accident in November and my insurance recommended them. My bmw was pretty messed up but they got the work done quickly and communicated with me throughout the whole thing. When I picked up my car they informed me my back light was out which I knew so I asked what they would charge for it. They quoted me a fair price. I did the light there too. They quoted me at around 387 for it. When I spoke to them they informed me the light issue was actually not what they anticipated and it was actually only 98 for it. I was impressed because I would have had no idea and would've just paid. They are honest and I will go back in the future and recommend them to anyone I know. Also a bonus they have a nighttime drop off. This was helpful because I work during the day. Overall super happy with my 2 experiences with Quality auto body. read more

The communication is not the best they received my jeep for body work via State Farm insurance so they can do an estimate they did not seem to think that shatter glass in the hood is considered body work they also do not work on customized jeeps. They told me that they could wash the jeep to get the glass pieces out but they would not take liability if they are scratches to which I responded that is why the jeep is on your shop to get body repair work done due to someone else's careless driving they also asked why is it here for, I told them to also look at the bumper as it was scratched up and needs repairs the representative that spoke to told me that they would not take the jeep for repairs I asked him to contact the insurance any to get it out of their shop then and to take it to a shop that really wants to work or back to my home, he said he would call the insurance and note all of the thing we talked about and then call me back to see if the jeep dealer in tyson could take it. 5 hours passed and multiple calls to the insurance company and still no communication from quality auto body and to top it off the insurance does not have any calls from quality auto body or any notes about this incident. I drove to their lot and saw my jeep outside in their lot that has the gate open not really safe. Spoke to the towing company across the parking lot from quality auto body and asked if I could move my jeep they said that they did not know anything about it from the body shop and that they could not allow me to move it. Understandable from their point of view they saw how frustrated I was and they told me you could leave a note so that we can give to them in the morning so I left the note hopping to get a phone call in the morning before I call out from work to get this taken care off. I would tell people to avoid this shop if you do not have an stock car as they do not seem to care about us people that think of their cars as a vehicle only to me my cars are my home away from home as I spend time in them and they are my place of peace and relaxation daily as I drive multiple hours during the week. read more

Great experience with this company! I will never take my vehicle elsewhere. Not only were they efficient, thorough, professional and extremely courteous, they went above and beyond. I was in a "Hit and Run" by an uninsured motorist, (police assumption), with a deductible to pay, having to get a rental vehicle, (more $$), etc. Quality Auto repaired and painted dented side panels within 2 days! I dropped the car off on a Monday afternoon and picked it up on Wednesday. It was immaculate. Here's the bonus: When I showed them the damage from the accident, I pointed out a spot where one of my grandchildren had tried to hide a garage scratch from a bike with a magic marker. When I picked up the vehicle, It was gone! They must have sanded the rust and painted. This was done for FREE. No charge on the bill and no mention of it. A true example of kindness and humility. I was looking online for a local body shop to install an aftermarket spoiler onto my car as a birthday gift to myself. I pay very close attention to details, so the slightest imperfection would bother me. So I'm very skeptical as to where I'll take my new car for body work. Quality Auto Body went above my expectations when they installed my spoiler. The place I had originally ordered the spoiler from forgot to send me the mounting template and I thought that I would have to postpone my installation. Instead, QAB was able to install it with no problem and I am quite pleased with the results. Pros: -Price was not bad -Nice and professional staff -Quick service -Enterprise is 2 seconds away in case you need a lift. I have used Quality Auto Body for more than 20 years, but will not being going back. The work they performed on my vehicle was affordable, satisactory and finished ahead of schedule. However, when I went to pick up the car, that's when things fell apart for me. They have a very small office that two estimators and a clerk share. When I went in, I was disappointed to see that no one was wearing a mask, putting me and others who might stop by at risk. This disrespect for customer safety was unfortunate and, I will have future car repairs completed elsewhere. read more

I'm a real stickler for OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts on a car. I usually don't need to get my car fixed, but when i do, I get it fixed here. A girl rear ended my immaculate S2000 at a red light while she was texting. I now had to live with an aftermarket rear end and color matched paint. I thought about selling the car after getting it painted, but Quality Auto did such a pristine paint job and color matching, it looks just like factory OEM if not better. In addition, the insurance adjusted only gave me enough to cover the rear bumper cover, and Quality Auto body identified damage to my exhaust. They were professional and prompt in working with the adjuster to get supplemental damage payment. I ended up with a brand new HONDA exhaust system, and a big smile. This place was so professional, and their knowledge and expertise is reflected in their work. No bumper sag, all the body panels fixed line up picture perfect. I've been to 4 body shops just in this area, and this place beats the competition. My metrics are Quality of work, Service, Professionalism, and Expertise. read more

Terrible place. My wife took our car to Quality Auto because there was a hesitation when hitting the accelerator. We got the car back and they charged us $2,100 to replace the timing belt, and to do some other work, including changing the fluid on the rear differential. Six months later, my wife was driving on 95 South on her way to Florida with the kids, and the car seized up. Quality Auto had not put the fill plug back in when changing the rear differential, so the fluid had slowly leaked out ruining the gears. The Toyota dealer in North Carolina where we had it towed said that we were lucky the car didn't catch fire. I undertand mistakes happen, but Quality Auto has refused to accept any responsibility. We ended up going to Quality Auto because it bought the business of our prior mechanic, so everyone there keeps trying to say that it was the fault of the prior shop. Of course, we took it to their building, not our prior mechanic's building, with their sign, and my credit card says I paid Quality Auto, not my prior mechanic's company. I finally had to file a lawsuit, which is pending, and int the course of preparing for that, my prior mechanic gave me the sale documents. He sold the business four months before Quality Auto did the work on our car. The owner of Quality Auto will know exactly who posted this review if he reads it. If there is any response by Quality Auto Body to my review after I post it, please feel free to contact me through Yelp and I would be happy to email you the documents that show that what I have written above is true. I have 1) the invoice showing that Quality Auto replaced the rear differential fluid, 2) the invoice from the Toyota dealership in NC stating that the fill plug was missing; 3) a declaration (prepared for the pending suit) from the service representative in NC confirming that the fill plug was missing and that likely caused the rear differential to seize up. As an added insult, we later took our car to the Toyota dealership in Vienna, and they told us that the timing belt looked original, even though Quality Auto charged us for replacing it. Stay away from this place. Their work is shoddy, and they absolutely will not stand behind it if there is any problem. read more

Saying Quality Auto Body exceeded my expectations isn't really high praise, cause my expectations of an auto body shop are so low. This place literally restored my faith in humanity. Some jerk-face keyed my car, both rear doors. (Faith in humanity destroyed) I took it to someplace else first and was told it would be a complete paint job on each door and gave me an estimate of $800 (They did however give me a good tip, to file a police report in case insurance would treat vandalism like a hit & run) I don't have $800 &was going to live with my car like that. Insert sad panda here. But on a whim I checked yelp (looking up auto paint) and this place popped up with 4 1/2 stars and right around the corner. They charged me $80 to buff out both scratches, plus some places where my kids had hit the car with a frisbee. Then they washed it, vacuumed it. . . .Eighty bucks. My car looks brand new. And they were SO nice about it. They also do mechanical work and I plan to take in my car that the Honda dealer (scumbags) told me needed new brakes (while it was in for a headlight switch recall fix. Are the headlights near the brakes? Seriously, I don't know and I think Honda was counting on me not knowing.) I'll report on that side of the business later. read more

I'm not the type to just hand out a 5 star review. I have to be impressed by every aspect of the business before I pass such judgement. My background with auto body is purely aviation based. So I understand the difference between a good/professional job and an amatuer. My jeep was hit near the rear wheel well and I Quality Auto Body for a quote. The told me about the overnight option and the key drop and things were moving smoothly. The next morning the auto body tech called me at 8:30 the next day with an update and emailed me the quote in less then 30 minutes. We proceeded with the work. The job was going to take a few days for parts to mailed to the shop from the factory. I picked up the jeep a few days later. The work was clean, very clean. Great paint job with clear coat. I also was told the splash guard was in good shape and did not need repair. They gave me a 50 dollar refund from the quote for the splash guard. The price and work were well worth the visit. They were prompt and very professional. read more

I recently moved to Virginia from Arizona and unfortunately was hit by another driver on my way home from work one day. I am not very familiar with any places around town so I went onto yelp to find a body shop that could do a good, reliable job in fixing my car. Not only was QAB fast and friendly but they offered me two different price quotes. Because I am just getting out of college I don't have a ton of money so I opted for the cheaper quote and hoped for the best. I got my car back only a few days later and it looked amazing. In addition to replacing the parts that needed to be replaced, my car was also detailed inside and out. Hopefully I will not be needing a body shop frequently, but the ease of this transaction has me recommending QAB to all my friends in the area. read more

The help that I received at Quality Auto Body far exceeded my expectations. My Saab's driver door was hit when I opened the door in a parking lot. Within a few hours, my car was at their shop and a new door was ordered. The people in the office were incredibly helpful and offered advice throughout the whole process and helped me navigate between my insurance and the other driver's insurance. Quality Auto Body replaced my door and buffed out the scratches in the door frame from where the mangled door made contact. Ignoring the fact that the entire door was replaced, my car looks better today than it did before the accident. Quality Auto Body has matured to a full service shop, and by "full", I mean customer service included. Back in the day, when Les ran the place, I had work done to my '84 Trans Am. The quality of the work was good, but customer service was lack luster. Oh, how times has changed! My insurance recommend them for work on my '02 Trans Am. Unaware that they were under new management, I agreed to have the work done there. This wasn't just a shop to take a vehicle to. This was a customer service experience to be experienced (a trend that smart shop owners are trying to present to customers). Joseph was my go-to rep. My car was repaired in a timely manner and phone calls were received at every juncture during the repair. When I went to pick the car up, I noticed an overlooked, improper gap between two panels. Without a word, Joseph insisted to keep the car an additional day to affect a repair. I returned the next business day to find the gap was now perfect. Not just good, perfect. Very happy with the work. Very happy with the staff. Very happy overall. Very happy. So happy, in fact, that I told 'em "When I leave here, in gonna go and wreck my car so I can come back to have the repair done here!" read more

My car was rear-ended while parked on the side of a street and Progressive recommended Quality Auto Body to me. My car looks new again and they finished the repairs a week early! Their process working with Enterprise was seamless and I never had to worry. When I picked up my car, they allowed me to leave the rental car there and they helped me move my belongings from the rental car back to my own car. The staff here is incredibly friendly and they have a good location too in Fairfax. I found a replacement door at a junk yard and Quality Auto Body was willing to do the work I requested for a very reasonable price. It looks great and I saved thousands on a "kid car" that was barely worth much! Based on this experience, I brought my old 911 for them to help adjust the alignment of the driver's door. I asked for an estimate and they took it in the back and adjusted it...for free! had to have roof and windshield replaced in October due to tree damage. repairs and cleanliness were good. however roof weatherstrip moulding came off less than 4 months later. have to assume it wasn't installed and secured properly or that tolerances of roof install were off to not allow proper install of weather stripping. called quality auto body, left a message and no return call from them about the problem. read more
