They did a phenomenal job repairing my 2023 Range Rover Evoque after a bad collision on I-95. Eddie and the team brought the vehicle back to manufacturer standards, it looks brand new, and the quality of their work is undeniable. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because of the front desk communication. Ms. Kenia, in particular, often gave us inconsistent or misleading updates. She would say the car would be ready on a certain day, but when I followed up, she would ask for 30 minutes to call me back and never did. The same happened when she said she would call back in two hours or follow up by email. That never happened either. To make sure my car wasn't forgotten, I had to call at least three times a week. They frequently cited "shipping delays" as the reason for the holdup and often sounded frustrated when I simply asked for updates. What made this more frustrating is that I was able to track my car's status through my phone and knew that no real progress was made until the last week of August even though I had dropped it off in mid-July and was originally promised a 2-3 week turnaround. The workmanship is excellent, but the communication side of the business needs serious improvement. Ms. Kenia and the front desk staff must do a better job, because poor communication has the potential to overshadow the outstanding quality of the actual repair work. read more

In November 2025, we brought my son's Dodge Durango to VAL Collision Center in Falls Church, VA, managed by Eddie Flores. We were told upfront that they were backlogged but that the vehicle would be repaired within approximately 2-3 months. Based on those representations, we chose to move forward with them. Over the next several months, we received multiple updates suggesting progress was being made. Nearly 2 1/2 months into the process, we received the first photo showing the vehicle on a lift. Additional weeks passed with explanations about parts delays and brackets being needed. After more than three months, I personally went to the facility expecting to see the vehicle nearing completion. Instead, I was unable to locate it for over 20 minutes. An employee eventually walked me to the very back of the lot, where it was parked among numerous other vehicles. At that time: * The windshield was still damaged. * The airbags were still deployed. * Loose vehicle parts were visible. * There appeared to be little to no meaningful repair progress. This was extremely disappointing given the time the vehicle had been in their possession and the updates we had been receiving. I understand that parts delays can occur and that collision repair timelines can vary. However, accurate communication and transparency are critical in situations like this. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. If you are considering using this facility, I strongly recommend requesting written timelines, documented repair milestones, and consistent photographic updates throughout the process. read more

To my surprise, even the Land Rover dealership recommended I get a second opinion from Val Collision. That alone said a lot. I really care about my car. I take care of it like it matters, so if I trust you with my car, that says a lot. Trusting my car to VAL Collision Center was well worth it. I went in with a cosmetic upgrade idea (a carbon fiber hood) and some other changes. I talked to Eddie and he was fantastic. He listened carefully to my ideas, he offered input and patiently let me figure out what would be best for me. He not only made my car look fantastic, he went above and beyond by leading me in the right direction as a person who wants a customer for life, not just for the day. This review is of an August incident in 2023. Avoid these guys at all costs. Our car was stolen from their lot. They only informed us when we asked why the repairs took so long. Because they didn't, we had to eat $250 worth of car rental. Had we not stayed in their grille about "when will it be done?" we'd never have found out. They filed a police report a month after the theft and only because we discovered their negligence. They are liars, crooks, and scoundrels. read more

Richmond hwy location should be permanently closed. The employee here does not do any work other than stay on their phone doing their personal tasks. They will never answer phone or respond to emails. i have sent numerous emails and no one even bothered to respond to any of my emails. when they do answer the phone after 45 min to and hour wait, they will have no answer to the repair. The representative will only respond by saying that some one else was working on this so call back again. none of the employees will have any knowledge on the status of vehicle being repaired. this location kept my vehicle for almost 3 months and no one can tell me the status of the repair. Unfortunately my dealership, Subaru, recomended Val Collision Center. I have notified my dearlship not to send any more vehicle at this business for any type of repair read more

I absolutely would not go to them for ANYTHING. Horrible experience. Communication is awful. Gave us the car back without fully completely the repairs. We had to notify them that the repairs were not completed. There were a lot of issues with them and we had to threaten to go to Land Rover since they referred us, to get everything resolved. read more

Note for awareness: Val Collision Center has two locations and I used their shop in Alexandria, VA. Excellent service in 2022! I highly recommend... During the time of this post-pandemic period review, repair parts are in short supply. Other shops in the area are declining estimates or additional clients due to high demand. Val Collision took care of me during this time. They are the preferred partner of Beyer Subaru. Instead of several months lag, they ordered the part with a short two week wait. Each time I called, I was informed that they were waiting on parts. Three months has passed and my car has not been repaired. These gentlemen are first class. my bumper was sticking out but nothing else was wrong with it. I came in to ask about parts which would've cost me at least $600 plus work. Eddie took my car around back and had his guys look at my car. They fixed connected a few pieces and sent me on my way. WORST MECHANIC SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. Poor communication with customer and employee looked through/wore my headphone and stole all the change from my vehicle. I had a pair of headphones that I had intended to return and had placed the box with receipt in my car before it was taken to Vals by the kia dealership across the street. When I picked up my vehicle the box was open, all the wires were out of the packaging and labels ripped off, and the receipt was gone. read more

Bottomline, don't use this business. Almost 2 months and my car was not repaired as promised in a timely manner. I agreed with this business to work on my car body repair in the first week of June, 2022. Insurance check was given to the business which was cashed right away. Initially there was some delay in receiving parts but parts received on week of june 26. the car was dropped off on July 4th and was never looked at until 11th when I called to pick up my car. They then discovered that there is additional damage and more parts need to be ordered and more delays occurred. Since they are responsible for the delay, I demand that this business pay the insurance company and myself the fee of the rental car that I am using on every day that this repair is delayed. By the way the only one that I can receive information from is someone that is not working in that branch. She has to call the falls church branch and get back to me, sometimes right away and sometimes few days later, can you imagine!! I called the branch manager/owner several times. Each time I was told that he will call back. never did. That is how reputable this business is. Now, it's August 4th the work is done and the shop is holding the car bc they mistakenly contacted the appraiser instead of the insurance agent for supplemental repair payment causing more delay in insurance payment and consequently holding the car hostage. I took my Land Rover here under advisory from the dealership. It had a low impact to the front right wheel. The vehicle is a 2018 model. The service here is horrible and the work is sub par. It took over 6 weeks to get my car back. I was told they were waiting for parts. Yet after some research, I found they just waited to order them. They had to make the insurance adjuster come out several times. I ran out of rental car coverage after 30 days. The owner did get me a rental car to subsidize the remaining days. When I finally got my car back, there were several problems with it. They had missed replacing the axel and lower control arm. I chose to take it somewhere else, because I didn't trust the work that was done. It had to go back to Land Rover two times after I picked it up from Val Collision. It still doesn't feel like it did before. If I wasn't trading the car in, I would be more pissed. One last thing! I had a small scratch on the bumper and got the insurance to cover it under this claim. They installed a new bumper and screwed a license plate holder in it. I didn't have one before. Now there are 4 holes in the new bumper! They just don't pay attention to details! Go somewhere else!!! read more

THEY ARE THIEVES!!! I had taken my car here directly after purchasing it from a nearby dealer to have it serviced and forgot my AirPods in the car inside the center console. After returning to pick up my car the AirPods were not there, at first I tried searching the area to see if they had fallen out, but once I started to use the tracking device on my phone it was showing them inside of the shop currently being used. That's when I knew that someone had them. It took about a half hour of lies, excuses, questioning employees and even talking with the owner before I found my airpods lying under a car on the opposite side of the lot scuffed up and all spread apart as if they had been thrown underneath the car once they realized they had been caught. The Richmond Highway location of this business in Alexandria, VA is the absolute worst establishment I have ever experienced in 70+ years of life. They are worthless and can't be relied upon to tell the truth under any circumstances was my experience. Excuse after excuse and outright lie after lie is exactly what I got, not to mention that it took from Dec 27th 2023 until yesterday May 16th to get my bumper replaced! Ridiculous! I can only pray that my case was a total anomaly but, my general take away is to STAY AS FAR from this lousy establishment as possible! DON'T SIGN VAL'S POWER OF ATTORNEY!!!! This is one of the biggest blunders we ever did. That form is also the authorization form. Once you sign, you are stuck with them, and you have no recourse. Even when they don't provide status and it takes months of inaction. It took CLOSE TO ONE YEAR(!!!) to get our vehicle repaired, for only a minor fender bender. The office and CEO were non-responsive. Even the insurance person said this place is awful to deal with. I was looking high and wide to find a shop I trusted to fix the damage on my Range Rover. I was referred to VAL and am really glad I used them. Amazing attention to detail, great workmanship, communication, and knowledge from the team. I was very worried since my car was hit in an awkward place and has a special paint code. The team did my repairs in a timely fashion, and did great work on the car. They went above and beyond to detail the inside and outside, and kept me in the loop on progress. I'm super happy with the work they did and the overall customer service. 10/10 (hope I don't have to) but will use them in the future! read more

This place has very poor communication with customers. I had my vehicle towed here at the recommendation of the Range Rover dealership. Every time I called for a status update I was told something different about the status of my car. This was very frustrating but still decided to give them another chance based on reviews. I made an appointment to speak with someone in person and maybe get a better understanding of what was going on with my vehicle. When I arrived for my appointment, they did not remember speaking to me and I was told the person that had information about my car was not there. At this point, my vehicle was here for almost a month. I asked what did they do with the payment my insurance sent and they said they didn't speak to my insurance yet. I called my insurance company while here and confirmed payment was sent in front of them. I knew this because my insurance called me to confirm they sent it 3 weeks ago. Then they said yes they received the insurance payment but did not have a status update b/c the person dealing with my car was not there. Made a decision to take my vehicle somewhere else. Delays are understandable but making an appointment with me and then not being able to give me a status update is just poor management. read more

They understood the situation immediately, made the necessary repairs on the spot, and charged me a very reasonable fee. While having to visit an auto body shop is never a happy event, I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and professionalism of the shop. Eddy and Cindy who (I dealt with) bent over backwards to assist and address any of my concerns. I have not had an experience as welcoming and satisfying with a body shop my entire life. These folks and their customer service are as professional as they come, and the quality of the repairs (Jose and Rodrigo are awesome) are what I consider to be the gold standard for autobody shops. While I hope to never have need for another auto body repair for the rest of my life, should I need body repair work done on any of my vehicles in the future this will be the place I will take my car. read more

EXCELLENT Service! I had been scheduled 2 weeks out for my estimate and decided to drive in and just check to see if they had any openings. It was busy and I waited patiently for the receptionist to take a look at her books.
