We visited this restaurant for the first time with our family while casually looking for a place to eat in Scarborough. It popped up with great Google ratings, and since it was New Year's Day and a working day, we assumed it wouldn't be too busy. Turns out we were wrong--we had to wait about 30 minutes. That said, the small and cozy waiting area made the wait comfortable, and since we were dining with a kid, the staff kindly offered us a corner table, which we really appreciated. For appetizers, we ordered the Paneer Triple Platter. Unfortunately, the first batch was served cold and felt undercooked. However, once we mentioned it, the staff immediately replaced it with a fresh batch, and it was excellent. All three marinates were flavourful, and even the onions and salad were well-marinated and delicious. The only downside was that the paneer cubes were quite large, so the flavours didn't fully seep inside, making it feel a bit heavy at times. For the main course, we tried their highly reviewed Rara Paneer, which did not disappoint in terms of flavour. The Mushroom Masala truly stood out and ended up being my favourite dish of the meal. We paired the curries with butter and garlic naan, and everything was served in generous portions. While the pricing is slightly on the higher side, the quality and quantity completely justify it. The ambience is royal with strong Indian vibes, making it a great choice for special occasions or family dinners. Although the service felt a little slow at times, the staff was always attentive, warm, and accommodating, ensuring our requests were handled well and that our overall dining experience remained positive. On our next visit, we're definitely looking forward to trying their momos and Manchurian, as we heard many good things about them. Overall, a place we'd happily return to.

Excellent authentic Indian cuisine! Moved here from Atlanta and was looking for a good Indian restaurant and was referred here by a coworker. Boy oh boy we were beyond pleased how flavorful every dish was. The service was fairly quick, super friendly, and helpful choosing dishes that are vegetarian friendly. I will be coming here more often. The ambiance was perfect for a nice dinner with the family or a date night with a special someone! The only downside would be the lack of parking in peak business hours. I would try to avoid busy hours or try and get there a little early especially for dinner if you have a larger group (4+)

Gosh. What a Greenville staple. The fish curry was such a treat. The fish is salmon (was not specific on the menu). In addition, the naan (not pictured) came out steaming hot! I love how fresh this place is.

Saffron Indian Cuisine is located in a strip mall type setting in the commercial corridor outside downtown Greenville. The interiors are modern and upscale. A steady flow of patrons on a weekday were indicative of loyal customers. Meals start off with complimentary papadum, which is always a nice way to start off a meal. The mango lassi (4.5/5) was great tasting without being too sweet, just the way I like it. The onion pakoras and chicken tikka masala (both 4.5/5) were well prepared using authentic recipes and both hit the right spot. The portions were generous enough that I had a few days of leftovers. The naan (4/5) was nice and fluffy without being excessively saturated with butter. The ambiance and service (5/5) were both excellent, as I enjoyed the decor and multiple staff members checked in on me and asked if I needed to-go containers for my leftovers. The menu prices are incredibly reasonable, and all the items would probably cost higher for a similarly upscale Indian restaurant in other parts of the country. I wouldn't hesitate to return, and would recommend Saffron Indian Cuisine to others seeking good Indian food in Greenville.

Saffron is our go-to Indian restaurant in the area. The ambiance is perfect for casual dinner or semi-upscale outing. The food is consistent and always delicious. Great menu options and good price point. Service is welcoming, but can be a little slow when busy. Overall, still worth the visit.

The interior is welcoming and feels upscale; top marks here. A plate of crisps and a small cup of green chutney were delivered gratis - this was a nice touch. My mango lassi was 3.5 stars and the paneer makhni was a somewhat disappointing 3. The garlic naan however was among the best I've ever had, 5 stars. Service was where the evening went a bit off the rails; as a single, I was relegated to the bar area and while I wasn't completely ignored, I felt oft-forgotten. Server friendliness was meh. With an attitude adjustment and some richer flavor in the makhani, this place could easily achieve 5 stars.

Ordered takeout from here and it was great! Got the Onion Pakora, Gobi Manchurian and Garlic Naan -- all were super yummy and flavorful. Loved the chutneys that came with the Onion Pakora. Server was attentive and polite, inside looked very clean and spacious as well! Cannot wait to come back and try more menu items!

Friday evening, newly renovated since my last visit. Busy but plenty of tables available. Service was awesome, very attentive. We ordered two appetizer plates, one vegetarian, one tandoori. I had Rogan Josh , my guests had a Tandoori Salmon, potato and pea dish. Next time we will take the spice level up a notch. Renovations are beautiful, colours are very pretty. We will return

I'm back with another review ... this time of Saffron Indian Cuisine... This was my first time dining hear and very much enjoyed it... this is a new location for them and has a new modern look... The food was very tasty, I had the lamb rogan josh and my wife had the goat dish with garlic Naan. They had a wide variety of Indian beers and the place was very busy with patrons... I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the mood for Indian food...

Great service! Servers work collaboratively and openly welcome guests to try different dishes. Notably, we appreciated the server's initiative to provide a verbal scale of spice/heat to assist with choices. Do yourself a favor and try the curries, and start off with some chaat (Indian street food).

Quite possibly the best Butter Chicken I have ever had. It simply melts in your mouth. The rice is addictive as well. The naan bread is served hot. This is the place to go for Indian food. It's a definite don't miss

We tried the Lunch special which is two plates for $20. You can choose from Butter Chicken or a veggie dish. You also get basmati rice, a large naan bread/roti, tomato salad and what looked like chick peas in a sweet sauce. There was also a small round pastry in the middle of the tray. Every thing was tasty. We expected the butter chicken to be bland but it was quite spicy so if you like it mild it's not! Server was friendly and helpful. Will definitely return and try a regular dish. Not overpriced either like some Indian restaurants

They offer salad, vegetarian dishes, meat, chai, lassi, desserts and dosa. The tables were crisp and the service was attentive. There's QC issues in cleaning their plates fully clean but most of them are clean. The buffet line starts with vegetarian dishes and they're all legit. The paneer is probably the best in all of the buffets in Gvegas. Nice, thick, and soft. I would honestly go back just for that. They do veggie stir fry here which no other buffet really does. The naan is superb for buffet naan. All their meat is halal! For some reason, their chicken tikka is called chicken kebab and their labeled chicken tikka is chicken tikka wings. Fire either way. Their lamb and legit but pungently lamby. As part of the buffet, they offer dosa. Use the peanut chutney with it. Don't be a bozo like me who missed the dessert section of the buffet.
