Come for the vibes and scalp massage. New scalp services are unlike anywhere else. Moe has been doing my hair for several years now and I can't imagine going anywhere else, when she invited me to a scalp service I couldn't help but think of the prior experiences I had last year in and around Roseville area. They were advertised as something beautiful but they were not. The ladies were really rushed (we've all gone through this with nails I think) the products were awful! Took me forever to untangle my thick hair and was offered again more complimentary cheap product to use. It was rushed, my hair felt awful it was tangled and a mess! If you have thick hair like me you probably have a scalp that needs this badly! Completely opposite experience with Moe, easy, quiet, relaxing using her more natural holistic products. Along with actually being able to check your scalp health to see what would most benefit you and where on the scalp. I've been waiting for something like this, I think she is brilliant and I know how much better services are with her. Wouldn't let anyone I know go anywhere else. read more

I have been going to Moe for years for my hair. I absolutely love her. She is so kind and talented, taking holistic hair/self care and hospitality to a whole new level. Today I want to talk about my most recent visit. I received my very first Holistic Scalp Spa Treatment. I have been wanting to do this ever since Moe got certified. It was a 2 hour session of pure holistic scalp care. Light therapy, massage, a light sound bath, light energy healing, eye mask, scalp steaming, and scalp analysis are some of the things we did during the session. I left there feeling more relaxed than I have felt in a very long time, not to mention my scalp felt clean and invigorated. Although every little thing we did was incredible, one of the coolest parts was the scalp analysis. Being able to visually see on a screen your hair follicles, the build up, damage, etc., then after the treatment, looking at it again and seeing the difference the treatment actually made. Seeing more blood flow in the scalp, almost no buildup, and inflammation tamed from the oils and stimulation. I am a visual person, so for me, being able to see the results? Incredible. I will likely try to get this done a few times a year. Something I never knew I needed and now cannot live without. read more

I love Moe! After moving back from the bay, I needed a trusty stylist to take care of my hair. She outlined each step and ensure I was comfortable with it and the length. She was more than happy to make adjustments if I wanted. She also understood my type of hair (thick and straight) and gave shape and layers. Monique is really the best hairstylist I've come across. I've had long and short haircuts from her and they've always been exceptionally good. She is also very personable, and is a true artist who puts time and effort into your hair as said in other comments. She is also the most knowledgeable hairstylist I've met and really cares about your hair - will always not recommend services she thinks could damage your hair, and give great general hair advice and advice on how to better problem areas if you have any concerns. After reading the review that Monique did a great job on Eboni B's curly hair, I set up an appointment. Monique is very sweet, charming, and lovely. I felt comfortable the minute I met her. Her workroom is calming (and the scented candle was delicious!)--a perfect match for Monique's peaceful, patient demeanor. It was especially nice not to feel rushed! We were able to take our time chatting about what we both thought my curly, fine hair needed for the best cut and style. Monique understood exactly what I wanted and advised me well for my hair to look fuller at the bottom by trimming it a little shorter. I'm so pleased with the rounded, layered cut. After the deep conditioning treatment and some product added to bring out the best, my hair feels extremely soft, it fluffed up just right when it was completely dry. The curly layers are nestling into each other to sit just right. My hair often feels like Brillo on day 2, but it's just as soft today as yesterday when I left the salon. read more
