I had an awesome experience with Lauralee, I told her I want my hair color to be like a picture that I have, (after few bad experiences with different stylists), it turned out amazing and exactly like what I asked for. And she did my hair extension which looks very natural and beautiful. Lauralee is nice,very patient and most important she is professional. I really recommend her.
I hit the jackpot with Michaela at this Maribou location. After going to literally 5 other stylists, I had given up on anyone creating the bangs I wanted...that is until I met Michaela. I showed her a photo of what I wanted and poof! Just like that she made it happen (and has been making it happen over and over every time I come in for a trim and other services). She really knows her stuff when it comes to technique and complicated coloring (especially for those of us who want a cool blonde balayage mixed with ombre but are cursed with pesky red undertones). Michaela just sees the look you want, offers never-ending soultions and has an eye for the spectacular. She also has an extensive knowledge of hair care products and their applications & took time to explain the products she was using on my hair. Highly recommend Michaela to anyone seeking a skilled, talented and personable hairstylist who will go above and beyond to ensure you leave the salon looking and feeling your best.
Kirsten is amazing! She completely transformed my botched balayage hair from a previous salon's horrible service. She made me feel so comfortable about the process and the products she was using to gain my overall hair goal. I am so grateful for her knowledgeand the overall experience at the salon today! I attached a before and after just to see how great she did.
I had a great experience at this salon! It was my first time coming there because I needed a kind of "emergency haircut" for an engagement photoshoot I was doing that day. The receptionist was super accommodating and booked me with Shivani. Once I got there, I explained that I hadn't had my hair cut in years but needed a serious trim because it was looking straggly. She did an excellent job of overviewing my hair and deciding what needed to be taken off. We had a great time chatting during the cut and she made sure that everything she was doing was what I wanted. She then beautifully curled it, and I was set to go! The timing was perfect (9-11am) and it definitely made my photoshoot. I highly recommend Shivani, she is knowledgeable and takes your needs into account. Also just a fun gal :)
My experience with Jessica (IG: beyondhair_byjess) was AMAZING! I booked an appointment for a haircut with the first available stylist. I was nervous because typically I research stylists beforehand. However, as a newly postpartum mama, I had neglected my hair for quite some time and was desperate for a haircut. I brought along my newborn and a friend to help watch him during the appointment. When I first arrived, Jessica was so warm and welcoming. She truly listened to what I was wanting and took her time to make sure that was accomplished. She took pauses to make sure my son and I were okay and even let me hold him towards the end while she styled my hair. I went into that appointment so nervous, but I couldn't have picked a better hair stylist to not only take 12 inches of hair off, but make me feel comforted, beautiful, and confident. Highly highly recommend her!
I found Michaella Garcia at the Roseville location of Maribou, on Instagram a few years ago. Michaella is amazing! I always trust her to do the best for my hair. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Right away she made me feel like family. I've been here once before (years ago, a Folsom location) and decided to go in for a highlight job this week. I scheduled + got quoted for a full highlight of ~$250 but, when I came in, the stylist said it was only a partial highlight. She offered to do a conditioning treatment and I said that as long as it's cheaper than a full highlight, that'd be fine. She assured me it would be. It wasn't cheaper-- probably around the same price. TL;DR: - Fast booking - Nice employees - Decent cut - Terrible highlight job - Conditioning treatments were trash I was scheduled in fast + the girls at the salon were nice. My stylist (who I won't name) was newer and very sweet + attentive. The cut wasn't quite what I wanted, but she did a good job (I'm assuming it's because my hair texture is a little different from the photo.) Unfortunately, I thought the highlights were a little stripey and she missed a section on my left side that was fully highlighted on the right. I've provided pictures with the reference photo. I wasn't super happy with the highlight technique, though the Folsom location assured me over email that (direct quote): "it looks as if your highlight pattern is correct for the way you are pulling your hair back." I don't agree, but I've provided photos for people to decide on their own. The thing is, I told them in my email + to the stylist herself that I typically wear my hair back for work, so that the pattern appears noticeably uneven when it's pulled back is in fact a problem. While they said I could have her pop a few in to balance, I'd rather not apply more bleach to my scalp, or drive out to Roseville, or sit in a salon chair for several more hours. I already had to take time off to get it done in the first place. At $300 (including the tip here), you'd think it'd be done right the first time. Anyway, as for the "conditioning treatment," I wouldn't recommend it. The website said it's applied for about 5 minutes and that tracks. But there was still some bleach on my scalp from the highlight job (lol) and my hair texture was still a little off (probably because the product wasn't fully washed out). I ended up doing a clarifying shampoo + deep condition when I got home anyway, which did the trick. Cant recommend the deep condition based on my own experience. I think everyone would be better off picking up their own products and doing one at home tbh. Too pricey. Like I said, the stylist was very kind and nice. I liked her a lot and she provided great customer service and, even though the cut wasn't exactly what I wanted, it's still very cute. The service from management is ultimately why I went with 2 stars tbh. I'd have liked to have a refund for the highlight job, but they assured me that this is standard. I think that's kind of funny because it really does look goofy. Anyway, not for me, but I'll cut my losses and know better for the future.
I absolutely love my hair and the work Amanda has put into it! It takes me a while to post a good review because I believe it should be earned lol and let me tell you Amanda is amazing! When I first walked into this salon a little over a year ago I was lost and didn't know where to start but then I met Amanda and everything changed! I've had bad experiences in the past which is why it took my a full 8 years before I took a chance on someone and a new salon and I'm so glad I did! A big thank you to Amanda for always slaying my hair and bringing me from a brown to a vibrant blonde. One of the biggest things I admire about her is she is super sweet and honest and always makes sure I feel confident with my hair before I walk out the door although it doesn't take much to fall In love with her work!!!! Thank you again for always making me feel like a princess when I leave.
I am so lucky to have found Sophia! I got a last minute appointment before the holidays and it ended up being the perfect appointment. Sophia listened and understood exactly what I wanted without me having the right words! I freaking love my hair and it came out so perfect! The color is gorgeous and the cut makes me feel like a 90s bombshell!
New to the area and searched for a salon and stylist that specialized in color. Happily Maribou is all that. Colleen got my hair color right the first time. Highlights and lowlights, check. Nice vibe in the salon, busy enough that there is always something going on. Easy lot parking.
Came in as a Covid Disaster not seeing the inside of a hair salon for a year. Would I ever look normal again will my kids stop threatening to shave my head and can I throw away the hat?! With Emily skills of repair color magic I can throw the hat away and rejoin polite society again and stop scaring my kids! Great hair color, good listener, salon was clean and quiet easy to get to, lots of parking.

I had my hair done by Kirsten. I have never had my hair done professionally before so I was nervous to get it done. Kirsten made me feel so much better as she was very professional, welcoming, explained everything to me and was very open to whatever I wanted. she was very happy, bubbly, very creative in her work, listened to all my concerns and had a great understanding of her work. She did a trim on my hair and also highlights with money pieces . I am in love with my hair. I don't ever seeing myself going elsewhere besides with Kirsten. I have been going to Maribou for over a year now. Jessica is my stylist and she does such a great job. I always leave with newfound confidence. If you are looking for extensions, go see Jessica at Maribou. She is so creative and does such a great job in ensuring your extensions are done well and are going to last. Lauralee is the best. She is so sweet, easy to chat with and most importantly does an amazing job on my hair. I'm very particular with my blonde hair and she did amazing (see before and after pics). I had a wonderful experience with Jessica E. getting hand tied extensions for the first time! I was itching for longer hair so I went in for a free consult with Jessica and she reviewed all the options for me. She answered all my questions and gave me the best hair recommendations! My hairdresser was Jaedyn Jamelo. I came in not knowing what to except but I did have pictures to show her what I wanted. I was very please and excited to see the results of what I requested for, hair layers and curtain bangs. It's very elegant and I'm very glad she was willing to keep my long hair along with the layers. I would definitely recommend her. It was time for my root touch up. So I made another appointment with Madalyn, my stylist. She made my hair look and feel beautiful. My hair is sleek and lustrous. It feels super soft. I love the added color dimension to my hair. I did not need cut my hair because my last haircut was so great that it has grown out quite beautifully. I have already rescheduled with Madalyn in 6 weeks for a haircut and a root touch up. read more

Went back again the other day for a toner and cut with Lindsay and she absolutely killed it once again! I left the salon with my hair glistening and looking healthier than ever! It is always a good time at the salon with Lindsay! She truly knows so much about hair and I always go into my appointment feeling so good (after discussing what we are doing). After looking for someone in the are that has a good portfolio of blond work, I decided to make an appointment with Kisten. Not only was her portfolio impressive for a level 1 stylist, she was prompt to respond to my message, and asked all the questions that I had planned to address with her without me needing to bring them up. She was honest and upfront about my expectations, so I went to my appointment knowing I may not be able to achieve the results I wanted in my first visit. At my appointment, it was clear that Kirsten had reviewed our conversation from 4 weeks ago as she briefly reviewed what we were doing with me to confirm. Let me just say...Kirsten is meticulous about her work! She took her time and did exactly what I requested. And she was able to achieve what I was wanting in that first visit. I came in with a lot of bassiness & wanted everything brighter blond, plus a shadow root. I got exactly what I wanted. read more

This review is for Jaedyn! I'm not really one to go get my hair done for anything, but with the holidays coming up & special events on the line, I decided why not? Jaedyn is detail-oriented & listens for any concerns you may have. She's also open- minded & really patient, which is super helpful if you're still undecided & can never make up your mind (like me -- sorry!!) Pictures are really helpful, but if you come in with a general idea of what kind of updo you want, she can make that happen. My appointment was with Christine. I asked for ombré with dark roots and honey/Carmel ends (picture ref attached). She placed the color on my roots and started to section off for highlights. After I was processing the roots and highlights she brought out two swatches of maybe 6 colors that I could pick from...none seemed light enough but we were already IN it. I picked the lightest red. She washed me out and the applied toner...left it on for over 15 minutes and saturated the blonde which made it basically the same color as my roots. Her exact response was 'that doesn't look like the picture you showed me'. She said she could see that I was unhappy. She said that she could use a color remover and try to lift it to show the highlights a little more. During all this I had to tell myself 'don't cry'. She proceeded to wash me out after that processed and sat me back down at her station. At this point I could already tell that it had not lifted. She proceeded to start drying me. At this point I asked her to stop because I explained I was unhappy. She said she was sorry and met me over at the counter to "pay". She told me that she only charged me for the root touch up which was $143. Mind blown. !DONT GET YOUR HAIR DONE BY CHRISTINE!! read more

I came here for a partial highlights and a much needed cut. My apt was with Jessica, who's a new stylist, which she made very clear before booking the appointment! She's still getting in her practice, therefore I didn't have crazy high expectations. With that being said, Jessica exceeded all expectations :) she took her time and walked me through the process, and my hair turned out perfect. It feels so much healthier too! 100% recommend. read more

There are many stylist at the Roseville salon that a versed in all hair types. I recommend getting a consult first so you can provide pictures for your desired looked to your stylist.
