There were limited choices to find good food between the rural area of Seattle and Lake Moses. However, Sage is definitely a worthwhile stopping point to grab a bite. The bagels are pretty good, they do their own cream cheese spreads and the sandwiches are very well served. They have a patio ,although dusty, which is seated next to a trailer park. Ultimately, a great option to relax outside especially after a long road trip. It is a 4 star for me given the circumstances around the place. read more

Going out of business November 30th 2024. Very friendly lady running the place for 11 years. The building is an old garage shop and other past things that has now being converted into this hole in the wall restaurant. Down to heart experience, quite rustic. Beware the dripping hole in the ceiling of it's a rainy day! The building owner is different from the lady running the restaurant. So the future use of this place is unknown. The food is simple but made to order and at your full selection of many options. Convenient for a quite stop to grab a bite to go right off the highway. This spot was a total internet led find and a spot we'll likely be hitting up again! It's just a bit off the interstate in what looks to be an old station of some sort - whatever it was, it's now being used for the right thing - making some legit sandwiches! We we're looking for a place to grab a quick sandwich before a hike up the road at Ancient Lakes. While looking online, we found "The Dallas" - a stacked breakfast on a bacon/cheddar/chive bagel! It was a beast and quite good! We also had a BBLT (Double bacon of course!) on an everything bagel. Bother we quite good and split nicely for everyone to have a bit of each. They've got plenty of caffeine options - my better half had some tea and I had a depth charge (shots in drip coffee). Both we solid. They also had tons of local creations including art, soaps, some peanut butter and (I think) woven creations. They also had some beer and wine options. Good stuff to check out while waiting. We flew up less than ten minutes before closing and the staff didn't even bat an eye. They whipped together four bagel sandwiches fast and we were so grateful. The kids got sausage/egg/cheese sandwiches that they hoovered up happily. Adults got the best BLT ever (see photo for proof of supreme bacon) and a turkey sandwich. This just zoomed up to my favorite road trip lunch stop. Sandwiches come with a side of Tim's chips and the bagels are Blazing Bagels (always yum). They sell local crafts in the little shop as well. I was on a road trip home from distant lands and my energy was waning. I happened upon the unassuming coffee house and decided to give it a try -- it was almost lunch time anyway. Three busy bees were working on orders and I spied a relatable sticker on the register. My kind of place, I thought. After placing my order, I spied the happy, gay gnomes. She was just sitting at a table barking orders at the staff. Which I would normally not have given a second thought to had there not been other patrons sitting about enjoying their meals. Friendly staff, nice dining area with a small gift shop, and good food. We got three bagels, one with just cream cheese, one egg and cheese, and the "gardener" veggie sandwich. The veggie was the best, with lots of fresh spinach, cucumber, and tomato put together with care. The breakfast sandwich was fine, but the eggs weren't freshly made. Cream cheese on all was fresh, and the herb version was delicious . Drip coffee was surprisingly good! Our to-go order was neatly packaged, and we appreciated the sandwiches were cut and wrapped to make them easier to eat. Recommend this as a pleasant break from chain coffee places. read more

We were passing through George, WA last week. I looked at Yelp to find a nearby place to stop where parking with RV would be easy. We were lucky to find Sage Coffee House & Bistro. What a gem! The BLT Wrap & Turkey, Swiss & Bacon Melt on a bagel were delicious! Service was quick & pleasant. We will make it a regular stop on our travels through eastern Washington.Don't let the Quincy address fool you. It is adjacent to I-90 at Exit 151. Upon arriving at rv park in Montana, my husband realized that his RV keys were missing, I had spare keys. Since Quincy was the last stop we had made, we called them twice to see if they had been turned in so we could pick them up on our return trip. They had not been found. We would have stopped again for lunch anyway but we passed through before they opened. This morning I received a call from the owner. Keys were found outside near where we parked by the garbage collector. She had to take the time to go through her recent calls looking for our number as we had not given it to her. The keys will be in he mail tomorrow. That is certainly some of the best customer service I have ever received. read more
