Went to Sage because they said they accepted my Medicare Advantage dental coverage, totally misled by them. They told me numerous times my insurance had been contacted and approved which turned out to be false. Kept talking to them about billing and was always assured coverage, but again not true. My $1000 written estimate was a scam, turns out over $4000 and they will not make any adjustments. Also in my opinion the place needs a thorough cleaning. STAY AWAY! read more

I wish I can give Sage Dental Zero Stars ! Dr. Sheerin Yusuf forced me to pay additional $363 for Optional treatment which was Not necessary with my root canal treatment. At first, I was told by Sage Dental office that I had to place a crown over my tooth within TWO hours of root canal treatment. Or else, I would have to pay $363 for barrier treatment which was completely optional. I made back to back appointment with my general dentist for the crown placement. On day of root canal surgery this greedy Doctor denied to perform my root canal IF I do not pay for the Optional treatment !! Her office staff made me pay for $363 Extra on top of the regular root canal treatment costs !! Totally unfair money greedy practice and forced dental procedure just to get more money from patients. Wednesday, January 21 I visited this office for the first time to receive a root canal, RECOMMENDED by my primary dentist. I've been in pain for about two years since my husband lost his job and we simply couldn't afford healthcare. This year we finally were able to take care of the things we put off. My tooth was incredibly inflamed, the assistant saw this and the Dr, Dr Sheerin Yusuf, saw as well. She decided sight wasn't enough and probed with a medical instrument into my tooth to further inflict pain, me wincing was not enough. She decided to place some cold substance on my tooth to make me bend over and yelp in pain. During the procedure, her empathy must've taken a nap because the quantity of time mattered to her over my comfort. She rushed through the procedure and nearly dismissed my initial pain from the anesthesia not numbing me all the way yet. She held a conversation with the assistant about another Dr who was either fired or left the office while working with my mouth open. The other staff were polite and welcoming, the visit left a negative stain in my mind and I will never recommend this Dentist to anyone. read more

My mother was a customer. She had a really bad experience in May or June 2024, they made top and bottom partials; the top partials over lapped the front tooth and she couldn't remove the partials the tech yelled at her not to bit her and they removed the partials and chipped her other tooth. The bottom partial did fit they asked her to go back and they still didn't fit. They would not reimburse her insurance and till this day she is still waiting for her insurance to be reimbursed. Please think about using this dentist office in the future. The staff are not kind to seniors. Don't waist your money or time find another dentist office with caring staff and staff who will not steal seniors insurance allowance. No they never corrected the partials and she doesn't want the partials at this time. Check Better Business Bureau this place has a bbb - negative rating which is not good. 1 Star - Terrible Experience! Serge Dental in Buford, GA is by far one of the worst dental offices I've ever dealt with. They are rude, unprofessional, and completely dishonest. From the front desk to the staff, the attitude was disrespectful and dismissive. Saw this dentist for an extraction after a crown broke. They wanted to do bone graft which was not needed in an 88 year old woman. They then said we are not sure we want to continue. Anyway they pulled the tooth using a code that is used in bone graft, but not covered. They should have used a different code which would have been covered by insurance. This a gross a.d expensive error which we paid as we don't have the codes. Very arrogant attitude. read more

Dealing with this Sage Dental location has been a total nightmare. They never return phone calls.

I've never left a bad review, of any business...ever. But I genuinely wish I could leave 0 stars. I had two root canals done at this office and my appointment felt like a bad nightmare. The dentist openly told me that she was using a new tool they hadn't used before as it was taking them a few tries to get it to work. It didn't concern me until she rested the tool on my cheek and it was burning hot. As I couldn't speak, I kept making a fan motion to indicate it was hot and would flinch every time it touched my skin but she proceeded. I left the office with a burn on my cheek. When I called the office to let them know, they offered for me to come back so she could treat it which the last thing I wanted was the same dentist who did it, to treat me. During the appt she mentioned the name of the tool and it took me a 30 second google search to see that it was supposed to have a protective tip on to prevent burning the patient. Not only that but that bleaching solution (that other dentists have told me is not supposed to leave the dental cavity) sat in the back of my throat the entire time which I did everything I could not to swallow but it was near impossible and I had a terrible chemical burn in my throat for two weeks following the appt. AND the bleach solution (that's not supposed to leave the dental cavity) bleached my tshirt. I was going to let all of this go until now I see that I have a bill in collections for 300 dollars on top of the 600 I paid in office. I should have gotten my money back for the experience I had, but they want me to pay another 300? Absolutely unacceptable. read more

I would say that this is the most nickel and dime dentist I've ever been to. Full disclosure: I am a physician but not a dentist. Parents used to work in the dental industry. Insurance sent us to this location and it's close by enough that we decided to go there. Insurance is to cover maintenance twice yearly. However there is a $10 fee for office visit (fine), they'll do X-rays and exam but then upsell on virtually every little thing. Recommended periodontic treatment on everyone in the family. Received second opinion and was told only two needed perio treatment. Was recommended to do an implant, second opinion said a crown will do just fine. What makes it all terrible is that if you decline the upsell, they won't do cleaning. So now you either have to 1) agree to the upsell or 2) find another dentist. If a patient of mine disagrees with my treatment plan and wants to go more conservative, what I'll do is document my recommendation and that patient wanted to be treated conservatively. But I'll still treat my patient. Was told there is a free gift of either an electric toothbrush or a whitening kit. No one in my family received either or. To e-mail the x-rays to myself so I can take it to get a second opinion, I was charged $25 per person for the e-mail. This was by far the most ridiculous thing I've heard. So a new patient maintenance visit that was supposed to be covered entirely by insurance actually cost $140 for the whole family just to get x-rays and no treatment done. Not expensive by any means, but nothing got done except x-rays and upsell. They didn't even get their teeth cleaned. I suggest you visit elsewhere where there is no hard upsell. This Dental office is ridiculous. I had crowns done by this office . before i plan to do it . i asked them. Ok . here is my insurance. Since you took my ex-ray and discussed with me exactly what i need to do. So can you check and give me exactly how much so i can prepare. They did. BUT. when i get my done took 2 times to come to the office . every time i came they always give me little bit more different amount i have to pay. Thats fine. The last day i came i pay full amount. ( in July ) . i asked the lady up front and said . thats it right . SHE SAID YES. then 5 months later they bills me and said you own us 200$ something more. What the H. PLEASE BE HONEST so your patient know what to prepare. I will stop bringing my family to Sage ANYMORE. Oh by the way. I visited this office twice with my non-English speaking mother. The Jamaican lady, with glasses, with short hair that helped us was extremely rude. Just because someone does not speak English does not mean they are stupid or dumb. Her impatience with my mother made no sense since I was clearly there to ease the visit. I was translating for my mother and this lady still had the audacity to be impatient. On my first visit, I asked her to be a little patient with my poor mother who was extremely nervous since she has never been to the dentist. She pretended to be nice only to be rude again to my mother on her next visit . Family members were not allowed in the room where my mother was getting her teeth extracted and had to wait outside. We told this lady MY MOM DOES NOT UNDERSTAND ANY ENGLISH, PLEASE CALL US IF YOU NEED TO TELL HER ANYTHING. But what did she do? She still tried to talk to her when we clearly told her that my mother wouldn't understand. My mother told me that this lady kept asking questions repeatedly and got frustrated when she couldn't answer. She also proceeded to make the process a very uncomfortable one because she was rough. When my mother couldn't take it, she would plop the device in my mothers lap. What kind of service is that ? How dare you do that on a service that we paid over 1000 dollars for with little to no help from insurance !!!! I do not plan on boycotting this office because everyone here is nice but that lady is something else. People work hard for their money and for you to be disrespectful and impatient on a job that requires great customer service is unbelievable. If you don't like your job, leave it. Be informed that this dental office has changed their dentist 4 times in the past 4 years. Teeth cleaning was ok. But my Crown procedure resulted in cut bleeding gums, cheek and tongue. I know mistakes happen, but I've been in pain for over 6 weeks. Dr. Miremami is one of the worst dentists I have ever had and the equipment is dated and broken. I've never written a negative review in my life, but the public needs to know what may happen to them. Needless to say I will never return there. They misguided me about my procedure and then botched it up and of course, no apologies to me because that would mean it was their fault. read more

Changed to this dentist in hopes of finding a facility that would treat their customers nicely and ethically. Techs and front desk were friendly and respectful and did an ok job with work I have had done this past year but you really have to watch their billing and get written proof when they say they are going to make a correction AND the billing is person is rude, she actually hung up on me, which is a serious no-no in the customer service world and huge red-flag. I was told there would be no charge for a particular service, I was charged, my husband paid the bill in error. I spoke to them and was told instead of refunding, they would remove the charge and I would have a credit on my account to apply to my next service. They never applied the credit and I paid them a large sum for a crown service minus the credit I should have received and talked to them again about the credit and they said they would take care of it (they told me that yes there were notes in the system and they would take care of it). Two months later I received yet another bill for the charge. I called them again and was told they would get back to me that day. No call. So I contacted them again, note that this is my 4th attempt, and spoke to the billing person who went through the charges and payments and I reminded her that I was not supposed to be charged for a service and there was supposed to be credit done. She rudely said she had no recollection or written documentation that there was supposed to be a credit issued (even though the second time I spoke with them they told me there were notes in the system to this affect) but she would apply the credit even though I should pay. Before I had the opportunity to offer a fully reasonable re-explanation and remind her that there were notes in their system and request written documentation that she is now agreeing to apply the credit she said in a very hateful tone "I'm not going to argue with you and hung up on me". I was not trying to argue with her, I was merely attempting to re-iterate the commitment they had made to me that they had not kept and in her own words get written documentation on my own records of her current promise to credit. I had to call back, again, and the front desk person was kind enough to send me a new statement showing the "courtesy credit". Courtesy would not be my words but whatever, looks like I'll continue to hunt for a more reputable and ethical dentist. From a service perspective, it did take a while to get my crown right, but the genuinely kept trying with no complaints and saw it through to the end. Sometimes crowns can be this way, so I really don't fault them for this and appreciate their diligence. Have received prompt and great service on cleanings. It's unfortunate that it is so hard to find a dentist that provides decent service but also provides good billing customer service but one thing I will not tolerate is straight out rudeness. read more

They work with your schedule and explain everything they need to do and are upfront with the cost. The staff and the provider are wonderful and I will be going back! Thank you guys for everything. I have stayed away from Dentist most of my life until I found out my tooth was broken. My first visit to Sage Dental in Buford was the best. I was petrified just entering the building. I was greet warmly and felt welcomed. From Ms. Vee, who greeted me, to Dr. Baddam, who took care of my broken tooth, I was able to calm down, get treated and walk away felling that I could survive anything after sitting in that chair. I made a double appointment with Sage knowing the procedure I had to have done for an acute condition, and having a referral from my previous dentist and all the necessary X-Rays on hand. I arrived at the clinic for the first time at 9:45 for the 10:00 appointment however, at the reception I was told that my appointment was not until 11:00, the receptionist apologized for the miscommunication, despite the fact that I had a confirmation that the appointment was for 10:00. Further, it turned out that my insurance info was not verified prior to my arrival due to their computers being down for the previous two days, despite the fact that I had provided the information 10 days prior to my appointment, at the time of making the appointment, and was told that I will be contacted to confirm the verification. The verification took another hour and the half. While the process was prolonged due to long holds and misinformation being provided by the insurance company, this should have been completed prior to patient arrival in order to mitigate such issues. When I was finally called in to the examination room, the assistant proceeded to take multiple X-Rays without speaking with me regarding the procedure, without explaining the necessity and possible side effects of the multiple exposure to the X-Ray, despite the fact that I was provided a form and a consent to sign that stated that I have been provided with such an information and have been consulted, while the form did not include any such of information and no one spoke with me. Furthermore, I have informed the staff that I had the X-Rays from previous provider and that I did not wish to be exposed to the radiology without medical necessity as I had multiple X-Rays done this year. The doctor arrived and insisted to have the full mouth X-Rays done in order to determine the diagnosis, despite the fact that I already had the diagnosis and referral for the procedure on hand, which was dismissed without even looking at, and spoken to rather nonchalantly, I should add. After the cosmetologist arrived and heard me out regarding the purpose of my visit, it turns out that I did not need to have the multiple X-Rays done, and had to complete four more shots of just the four quadrants, and this is after about a dozen of exposures already completed! To make the matters worse, after cosmetologist had completed the examination, with her assistant constantly interrupting to care for irrelevant chores such as looking for facility cleaning supplies for other staff members etc, missing the readouts provided by the cosmetologist. Afterwards the reception staff came by to explain the charges for the care plan, however, she could not provide the estimate that contained the actual charges, which further took up the time to clarify. At about 1:15 I was finally told that no procedures could be started today as my appointment time had ran out! And this is even considering the fact that I had booked a double appointment in order to start the procedure which I knew had to be carried out. The receptionist added that in order to accommodate me, the staff would have to miss their lunches.. I was not about to take anyones lunch time and just left, with the next appointment available only in two weeks.. This is my experience with Sage, you can make your own conclusions regarding their competence. UPDATE On August 7, the manager for the facility, Casey called to discuss my review, she said that they do not agree with my feedback, specifically that they should have reviewed the insurance information prior to patient arrival as their computers were down the previous two days, I reminded her that they had the insurance information for the prior ten days. She quickly became argumentative, and informed me that she is canceling my future appointments! She also declined to provide her managers contact information. This is outrages for the dental/medical facility to decline patients medical attention because of a feedback! Now this issue has turned into a case for the Georgia Dentistry\Med Board. Good job Sage/Casey! Just to add, a year latter, they are still attempting to bill me for balance already paid. I would not recommend Sage Dental to anyone. The office staff do not know what they are doing and their is a high turnover rate. Every time I visit their is a new doctor and office staff. Because of this they messed up my treatment plan and forgot to pull one of my teeth after I had already completed my teeth impressions for my partials. In addition to that, they got my insurance billing missed up by failing to tell me that they do not process your billing if you have a secondary insurance. So now I have a $1000 bill because they did not file a claim. Do not go to this dentist office because they just want to nickel and dime you. They only care about taking your money. read more

I scheduled my appt 3 days ahead. Provided my insurance online and the next day provided my insurance over the phone. I got there 15 minutes early , handed my new patient forms... 45 minutes later I was finally called in. They did X-rays and examination then they they told me they can't do anything else because they did not load my insurance info in the system so they can't get me a break down of the cost. Make story short i didn't get my cleaning done. I have to come in next time. I wasted 1/2 day of my vacation day from work for nothing. How can they take this long to load my insurance!
