I am extremely disappointed with the level of care I received during a recent emergency visit for localized, extreme tooth sensitivity. Despite being in significant pain -specifically sensitivity to tapping, heat, cold, food, everything - this office performed a completely inadequate exam. While the office staff is lovely, the level of care was awful. They took standard 2D X-rays, which showed "nothing," and then failed to perform a basic bite-pressure test to check for cracks. Most concerningly, their advanced imaging (CBCT) was down, and they do not utilize surgical microscopes for clinical exams. If you have a complex issue or a potential "invisible" fracture, a standard X-ray is not enough. To be scheduled for an emergency diagnostic appointment when the necessary equipment is non-functional is a waste of the patient's time. I have since learned that without a CBCT (3D scan) or a microscope, they are essentially guessing. I will be taking my care to a specialist who has the technology required to actually diagnose the source of my pain and the ethics not to schedule an appointment when they don't. If you are looking for a practice that uses modern diagnostic standards for dental pain, I suggest looking elsewhere. read more

What a terrible first impression! Having recently switched plans to an HMO, I made my first appointment with Sage Dental at St Cloud. I arrived and a receptionist at the front counter simply said my insurance can't be accepted. I had to first call my company support service to be assigned to them before they can provide services. I asked why I wasn't told this in advance. With a dead pan expression she said she wasn't the one who made the appointment with me. It was a call center. In that whole conversation, there was no helli and welcome, and definitely no apology for letting me make a pointless trip. What a lack of empathy, service, and professionalism. One chooses a dentist not just based on the doctor, but the front office as well. Imagine treating a potential new patient so coldly. Wonder how they treat actual patients locked into their services. read more

Based off of the inefficiencies around scheduling and my appointment being given away AFTER I confirmed it, I would not recommend this office. I scheduled my child's appointment 2 months in advance. The day before the scheduled appointment I received a text message asking me to reply "yes" to confirm. I replied yes and I received a text message saying "thank you for confirming we look forward to seeing you." The next day (day of the appointment) I received a text message 2 hours before the appointment time stating "just a friendly reminder your appointment is at 3:00, we look forward to seeing you." I show up 30 minutes prior to the confirmed and scheduled appointment time to be told by the front desk that my appointment time was given away because I didn't confirm it. I explained and showed the front desk the text messages blatantly showing my confirmation of the appointment to then be told " oh yes we've been having problems with the text messages and have submitted a ticket for that to be fixed". So then She proceeds to try and reschedule me but is telling me it's going to be about a month from now. The fact that the office knows they have an issue with their communications/operating system with their patients but STILL proceeds to cancel patients appointments knowing there's a likelihood the patients indeed confirmed them shows a lack of respect for patients and their time. I will not be moving forward with any care with Sage Dental St Cloud due to this lack of common decency and regard. As a Doctor and franchisee myself, the franchisee and staff should be making better efforts on appointment confirmation when a known operations issue is at hand. Customer service and time are valuable to everyone, just as you don't want patients wasting your time please make a more valiant effort to not waste ours. read more

Posting my complaint as theres NO email listed on website. I was seen on Monday, 3 February to check my fillings that I had done back in October. I placed a concern as I do not want a root canal. I prefer not to have a root canal. I told my doctor or practitioner whoever it was multiple times I do not want to do a root canal And they kept pushing that I needed a root canal. I get giving suggestions as a professional. But i requested my tooth to be pulled as i do not want DEAD matter in my mouth. but I also had previously in October let the doctor know I do not want any fluoride in my toothpaste that they use to polish my teeth during my cleaning, and I was asked if I was allergic And said no because I'm not. I just prefer not to have fluoride as a preference. as a client my preference should be put to the front for myself. I should have 100% consent yes or no if I want something in my system and I chose no, whether it's in the water and salt or not. Then i got a smart remark of well it's in your water and your salt I won't give the long story but I live on a property so I don't have fluoride in my water. Lastly, the biggest concern/ issue, I told them that I was not able to bring my service animal with me, My medical alert service dog so my mother was there as an advocate and also in place of my service dog, as my mom. I then was asked, What disabilities do I have and if I'm OK. the ADA law states that i cannot be asked my disabilities unless life threatening by a doctor. Not my dentist. This "are u ok?" Was not in the "is this good for you? "No, it was "are you OK Because of your disabilities " ... That was very unprofessional. I really hope something is done about that. The most expensive cleaning I have ever had. Claimed I have gingivitis, but have no symptoms. $236 for a blah cleaning. I also had to exert myself to get my the items included in my annual fee. Still have not received all items. Sage will not be doing any other work on me. My husband's experience has been much worse. read more

The office attempted to charge $50 cancellation fee for not making it to an appointment we didn't confirm although I am here late and they booked 2 procedures (cleaning and filling). Apparently they're refusing to do both procedures even though it's literally empty! (See pics) The billing was disputed because they supposedly have set prices for all HMO Guardian dental and my in-network copayment is $0 for my consultation yet they charged $15. They're charging another $15 today even though I have my fee schedule and the front desk person said they'll see me but I am not allowed to make future appointments. I'm definitely going to write to corporate but people need to know how racist they are. They haven't submitted anything to Guardian and the billing person said it's because that's not what they do. I was previously licensed for life and health insurance in NY and it is absolute garbage that they aren't submitting claims to my insurance. read more

SO far just ok. I was able to get an appointment within 2 days as there was a cancellation otherwise it was a 2-3 week wait. And that is just for the first appointment. I was able to fill out all the forms online which was a plus. What is bothering me about this appointment is that I had an 8am appointment. I arrived early to the appointment about 7:45. At 7:50 the whole office staff went behind closed doors to have an office meeting that went until almost 8:15. My appointment was supposed to start at 8:00. There were 3 other patients there with only one other checked in. I understand meetings happen, but these seemed to be something I got the vibe they did every morning. If so, then don't schedule 8am appointments. I happened to be off today but if I wasn't I would not have been very happy. There was someone who came in who had waited 4 weeks for an appointment she made online only to be told she shouldn't have been able to make the appointment online and she would have to wait another 3 weeks for a new appointment. I do feel when given my treatment plan they were trying to sell me things and upcharge me. I still do not believe they have taken all of my insurance into consideration. I will see what happens after my next visit. read more

DO NOT go to this office. The manager, Lisa Valle, came to belittle me, and the receptionist/billing rep Yelitsa proceeded to threaten to assault me. In front of other patients waiting to be seen. The office manager and receptionist continued to talk about how my insurance paid, and I didn't pay out of pocket, so I should not be upset. These are NOT GOOD people to see about your teeth or anyone else's! They will find things wrong you don't need to do a thing about sometimes, or if you have Medicare they will try to charge you fees and for work they say your Medicare does not cover, but in fact if you look at your invoice when they get it at your provider, they will show they DO cover it!!I I recently had a fee for a crown they said was not covered, but when I called both my provider and Liberty Dental, they in fact were PAID! Trying to get your payment back when they tell you such is 'not covered' takes much time and is totally unnecessary! They never call to verify what is covered it seems, and forget to check some procedures but will charge you because it's easier than billing your Medicare provider. read more

Horrible. Do not go here. Got a crown that was done incorrectly, now my sensitivity is worse! Also they try and overcharge for "special" cleanings they say you need. Called my insurance and they spoke with their office manager who said they can't charge for what they are trying to charge for as my plan covers that. The office manager said she need that in writing. My insurance rep told her that would not be necessary as this is part of my plan which they can easily see is covered. I wish I could give them negative stars! ​I will start at the beginning. My first appointment was the morning of May 15th. I was told to return for my cleaning after they took lunch at 2pm. I waited until almost 3pm, after seeing multiple people ask how much longer it would be. I was then told I wouldn't be seen until 3:45. I had to leave to get ready for work. I just had my first cleaning today. My appointment was at 3pm but I arrived at 2pm because I was not going to be behind 20 other people who were told the same time again! I was taken back to the chair at 2:33 and Linda logged into the computer, draped me with the blue bib and walked away, leaving the computer open. I was bored so I decided to message a friend. Linda came back at 3:00 and proceeded to clean my teeth. First she used the metal pick-shaped device. I have never in my entire life experienced anyone just dragging it along my gumline without even looking at the area they were trying to clean before! Maybe I've been spoiled, but the hygienists have ALWAYS used the mirror and pulled the cheeks away from the area and actually be able to see my teeth and gums where they're blasting away...but NOT Linda----nope, she literally used the pick thing to separate my cheek away from the gums on my left side (she was seated on my right) and she just happily blasted away. This was very painful and also my gums were bleeding afterward. She even said something about it...like how would they NOT be bleeding after that?? Then Linda proceeded to use the spinning device to smear the blue cleaner across my teeth much like how a two year old attempts to brush their own teeth. Linda DID NOT use it on my individual teeth like EVERY OTHER HYGIENIST HAS ALWAYS DONE. I have ALWAYS declined the fluoride but I wasn't even given a choice! She smeared it across my teeth with what looked like a finger nail polish brush, dunking it back into the container and slathering the goopy crap everywhere, even on my lips. I walked out of the chair at 3:06 and proceeded straight to the bathroom to brush my teeth for 10 minutes in attempts to remove that sludge! I have never had a poor dental experience before this and I can't even put into words how upset I am! I'm NEVER going back and I will put this review literally EVERYWHERE! The really sad part is that she has to be licensed to do this...she should be RETRAINED at the VERY LEAST! A general cleaning is supposed to take approximately 30 minutes...so I guess we should just log in and leave the computer open and expose ALL the patients' info (while she does "whatever" she was doing wherever she was doing it) and violate someone's mouth for 5 minutes...yeah NO THANKS. I am not a mean person and I don't want to cause harm to anyone...but no one will treat me this way! How many other people have experienced this same craps but didn't say anything?? I had told my boyfriend about the special they have for $156 for a year that included whatever...after what I experienced today I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!! read more
