While at the gym today, a very infirmed man had trouble and was in pain to the point of nearly fainting. I asked if he needed help since he could barely stand even with a walker. I looked around the Ground floor for help, but there was no one. I recommended that he press his emergency pendent, which he did. No one came. After five minutes, still no one came. More time passed. Still no one. I decided to go upstairs to the main desk to say someone needed help in the gym. They said they were aware of the emergency call but could not locate him. I then went downstairs and noticed a woman had finally arrived. However, she was rude, and ignored his request for a wheelchair, and began for forcefully push him backwards on his walker. When he mentioned his frustration about not being found after pushing the pendent, she just responded, "I'm here now." I said she arrived only because of me notifying the front desk, and she again slightly angrily repeated her statement. I was appalled at her attitude, but more importantly, her ignoring his request for a wheelchair, which he clearly needed. I went upstairs to reflect what I witnessed and to complain. I was then introduced to a manager. I said that I would hate to have my 84 year old mother treated this way if she had an emergency.

They kept in excellent contact with our family throughout her stay, and my mother was very content there. The facility itself was always clean (no typical institutional smell) and they stayed on top of medications, kept her engaged with activities, and closely monitored and assisted with her food. Aside from that, during Covid, the steps they took and the frequent communication with families was exemplary. We could not have asked for more for our mother. I will list what I know they have and I am sure I am missing something. First off, there are homes on the perimeter of the main building where residents who are retired can live on their own. These homes are pretty spectacular. The main residence has fully furnished apartments within a large facility. These apartments have large bedrooms, a very nice kitchen and a lovely living room area. The amenities are....seating dining area for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is delivered to the residents rooms each morning. There is a buffet dining room area. There is a bistro dining area. There is also a fine dining area which requires reservations and appropriate dress. I think there is another dining area but with so many dining areas I was getting a bit confused as to the options. Beauty salon with full services including manicures, library, banking, bingo, music hall on one floor and auditoriums on another floor. Exercise classes, art classes, all sorts of crafting classes, Swimming pool, movie area. There are common areas on the floors with large screen TV's for everyone to gather and watch TV. There is a thrift store on site open at specific times during the week. There are social workers on site that coordinate with the residents on activities to keep the residents up and moving. Medications are brought to the residents rooms daily at the time they are to take the medications. No worrying if your loved one has forgotten their medications at this place.They have a bus that takes residents shopping and also car service for off site events. Basically their own personal Uber. All of these amenities are in the living area where residents can live on their own with little or no assistance. Some of the residents do have their own aids that stay with them. Some residents have their dogs and are able to walk them on the lovely campus. This place is beautiful and has a beautiful setting. Off of the main building is the nursing home living area. This is for residents who need specialized and more monitored assistance. Even this area is amazing. Like no other care facility I have ever visited. As long as the resident is not bed ridden, they are up and in a common area either watching TV or participating in another activity. There are two floors to the nursing area. There is a common dining room where everyone eats their meals. They residents dine with a nursing assistant incase they need specialized help with eating. After eating the residents return to the common area to again watch TV or participate in other activities. The specialized nursing facility has residents rooms which in no way feel like a nursing home. Residents can bring in their own decorating items from home. Between each little quad of rooms is a common seating area with large screen TV's and books to read. There is a pantry with cereals, juices, milk and nutritional drinks in every flavor. It looks like the ratio of aids to patients is 2 to 1. No worry that your forgetful loved one might walk offsite without the facility being aware. The residents wear special watches which set off alarms should they go beyond the facilities doors. Only those patients that have a tendency to wander and be a bit forgetful wear these watches. This is a 5 star long term living resort for your loved one. If you can afford it, this is the place for any senior needing a little or a lot of extra help to live.

Terrible experience having our elderly loved one here after hospitalization. Apathetic "care" and…read moreat times more like basic warehousing. Uncaring, robotic nursing staff, under-responsive supervisors & administrators. It was a nightmare watching our family member languish there while no amount of polite advocating seemed to make any difference. They appeared to be understaffed at most times, and the staff who were on duty were not always trained in the use of the medical equipment needed by our loved one, so we usually had to wait for the nurse supervisor on duty assist, or sometimes other professional therapists who weren't round the clock coverage like respiratory therapists, when we'd have to wait much longer for help. They always had an excuse as to why the persons on duty weren't trained on that equipment ... learned early on that here, like at some other facilities but not all, nurses on duty assigned to direct patient care are all LPNs or PCAs so that is why - some equipment requires RNs or RTs who are fully trained. So sometimes the shift supervisor on the floor who was the RN would have to do the hands on, and they were always so busy so it would have to wait, etc. Too many cost saving measures being employed that poorly affected the patients; more than obvious. Would never recommend. Such terrible memories here for our family.

The staff was wonderful, attentive, kind, and really nice people. This includes all staff I encountered--nurses, CNAs and nursing techs, physical therapists, housekeeping, kitchen and nutrition staff, maintenance, and administrative and medical personnel. The facility is extremely well maintained and clean. Food was very good and ample portions, and special requests were accommodated. Physical therapy was very effective--staff was very encouraging and respectful of my limitations, working toward progress and not over stressing. Nurses and techs were great. Personable and professional. I would go there again.
