Horrible service and quality of care. I have a nail fungus!! I walked in and they tried to upsell me services. I wanted short tips and polish. The woman was spraying glue that burned and created a bubbly foam on my nail and skin, they tried again to upsell me, and then when I refused additional services they told me I didn't have an appt after they began gluing tips on my nails! Then another worker walked by and they were scoffing at the length I chose and told me they couldn't finish! I left with tips on half my nails. I had to go somewhere se, but now have a fungus from the tips that were done at this salon! I believe it was the moisture from the spray glue. Horrendous experience. Judy and Mina? I made a 10 o'clock appointment after coming back from vacation and had lots of errands to run When I got there, the doors were locked still at 10 o'clock. At 10:15 a van pulled up and eventually we were let in the salon. No sorry or anything that we were waiting. Maria did my pedicure. She did a nice job. However it was a little pricey compared to Million Spa, who does more for hydration of your skin at the same if not less price. read more

I went there as a recommendation from a friend to get a Spa Pedicure , I did not like it at all , i don't think they knew how to cut or color the nails I know I won't be going there again, I don't mind spending the money but $60 I spent there was not worth it , I tried the place and I was completely disappointed and dissatisfied! I paid $70 for a UV Gel fill. They were horrible and they only used the UV gel as the filler/builder base gel, then painted layers of gel polish on top. The top layers chipped in three days. They don't use a drill for much of the application, which is probably better for my nails... but made for very warped nails and after a few days of growth there was a lip at my cuticle line. I DO NOT recommend for UV gel, but the spa is VERY nice and clean inside. I will go back for pedicures. I just felt for UV gel the talent and application was not good - especially for such a high price!! I would give the UV gel a 1-star. read more

I had a pedicure today. I normally use Sue do my pedicure, but she was unavailable. In place of her I used Maria. ( I never used her before). I was extremely disappointed with the service she provided. She cut into my cuticle and it hurt, I said ouch! She then said "it's nothing". Yes it was something, it hurt!!Now everyone is entitled to a mistake, but to not apologize and to undermine my discomfort, that's not good service or very professional. Made an appt a month ago for 10 am. Got there at 9:55 and waited in my car until almost 10:30. They messaged saying they were running late due to traffic which is understandable. However, the lady that helped us Judy rushed us picking out our colors and did my nails way too fast. She didn't paint the whole nail around the edges or all the way down to the cuticle so they look like they've grown out for a week already. A couple of my nails are crooked as well. After trying multiple times to get someone to answer the phone I made a request to come back in to have them fixed, which I hardly ever do. When I got there it was Judy again and she was not at all happy to see me. She asked what the problem was and asked if I pushed my own cuticles down to make them look like that. Not all of my nails were the same length either. She did redo them begrudgingly free of charge, but someone else was the one to refile them and she spent a long time on my cuticles as Judy should've in the first place. But As if I'd pay $50 just to ruin my own nails. I will never be going back there. read more

PSA.... Warning this is a long post!!!! Please refrain from going to SAGE Nail & Spa I booked 2 appointments for today. 1 for myself (gel Mani) and 1 for my boyfriend's mom (spa pedicure) Mom doesn't move around well, walks with a walker. We walked in and I heard them saying oh no she has a walker. I was seated & starting my nails, when they asked me to get mom to the Pedi chair. No one would assist her to the chair!!! When she had difficulty getting into the chair I was approached by the manager saying they couldnt help her. I said do you have a regular chair with a water pan that you could do her pedicure? She said she would need to ask the nail tech who mom was scheduled with. I sat back at my station so I could get my nails done... No one was assisting my mom. I asked and was told that the nail tech said "NO I'm not bending down to do her feet". So I had a confrontation with the mgr stating so your refusing to service a person with a handicap!?!? She looked at me and rolled her eyes. Again I asked are you refusing to service a handicapped person. She said my tech said she won't bend over to do the Pedicure. When she said to me that the tech said no... I pulled off the foils that were soaking on my nails and let the entire salon know that they all should walk out due to this discrimination. I made it abundantly clear that I would post on social media telling the entire area to REFUSE TO GO TO SAGE NAIL SPA!!!! I've been going there for years. Yes, they're busy and typically don't take walk-ins. Yes, they're more expensive that other nail salons BUT making appointments ahead of time and paying a little more is completely worth it to me. The place is spotless and comfortable. The nail techs are great and the manicures/ pedicures last longer than others I've had done in other places. read more

So I have been to this place 3 times. They do not appreciate other minority business. Twice I have come here during their open hours and they said that they do not take customers because they have no more space for customers. Another woman walked in and they helped her right away. She did not have an appointment. Once I came and had my nails done and I heard them discuss that they didn't want to do it. Mediocre at best, especially considering the price. I selected the spa pedicure and manicure; it didn't even last 24 hours and I'm pretty gentle with my hands. My daughter (7 years old) and I came here for Manicures and Pedicures. When we entered everyone who worked there was very rude and did not speak or acknowledge our presence. I stood by the register for 3 minutes until I summoned someone over to assist us. I don't know if the reason was because we are black or if they are just rude all of time. Before seating my daughter the manager made sure she shouted 3 times that my daughters manicure and pedicure was $45 dollars. I told her I do not need you to keep saying the price do I look like I can't pay, is there a look for that? The entire time there they were extremely rude. In February I had an appointment for a pedicure and a manicure that I had made weeks in advance, Having an opening appointment was important since I had other appointments scheduled. To begin, the salon was opened late. I was told that the technicians drive in from Queens. As I waited other clients were attended to. My technician Maira was busy filling towels etc. for the other technicians. When she finally came to me it was a half hour later. Sage is BY FAR the cleanest nail salon in the area!! Their cleanliness has exceeded COVID standards before it was even a thing. In addition to the immaculate salon, all of their staff are perfectionists when it comes to doing manicures and pedicures. So many of my friends now go to Sage because they always love the way my nails look. Another plus about them is their gel polish lasts forever. For example, even if you make an appointment they will take other people ahead of you. I arrived on a Sunday morning before the place even opened. I was the first inside. I wanted a gel and pedi. I've been going to Sage for years and always received a great pedicure. They recently renovated and did a great job. I always choose the spa pedicure, 35.00 but if you pay with cash you receive $2.00 discount which is a plus. The owners, a young couple, are always friendly and make sure their place is clean. I like that the tv is faced only to customers so that the workers are not distracted or watch tv while they work like other places I've been to do. They keep their talking among themselves to a minimum not like other places where they talk the whole time in a different language which I think is so rude, another plus. Only down-fall is the parking, as the parking lot is small and on a steep hill so I try to go on a time when it's not so busy. read more

I've been coming to here for the past 4 years. SAGE should get an award for cleanliness. They are by far the best in that category. They are a little on the pricey side which has lead me to try other places but honestly you get what you pay for. I've gotten multiple pedicures which are always perfect. I get ANC for my nails and Sue did 3 layers of powder which in appreciated, and really took her time in making them perfect, which i also appreciated. All the staff are super nice but Sue is deff the best for ANC. But other girls who are great for pedicures are Maria (if you have a lot of calluses, and she also gives great complimentary back rubs) Cecilia and sirena. The owner doesn't smile much but is very nice and helpful if the girls need anything and manages the salon great when it's very busy so we don't have to wait a long time. I love this place! read more
