Great spot! Cozy and fun small bar with super creative, one-of-a-kind drinks--all with a clever touch of "sage." We've been here a couple of times now and every visit has been excellent. The staff are always incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Definitely a favorite for unique cocktai

Always good vibes in Rosedale at Sagebrush. Service is outstanding, drinks are perfectly crafted, and now there's even Caram3lo snacks next door from time to time. Cocktails are always on point, but I usually can't say no to the "Small Fire", which is a small chela and your choice of a pour of tequila or mezcal.

Found this spot from visiting the neighboring coffee shop and from the recommendation of some friends. Such a cool spot in KCK and much needed in the area! Love the desert vibes and mood lighting; a majority of the space is at the bar, which is great. This is so helpful for getting drink recs, watching drinks get made, and hanging out. It made for a great date-night spot for my husband and I. We had the Sagebrush and an Old Fashioned. Both were unique! The old fashioned was bourbon forward but my husband enjoyed. The Sagebrush had sorbet added and a jalepeno type foam added on top that added a kick to balance the orange and guava Snacks are available at the bar, if you need a little something to snack on while sipping. The menu and concept does come from the owners of the Campground, so the drinks are well thought out, unique, and expertly crafted.

10/10 - this is SUCH a great cocktail bar. The drinks were great, the bartender was so friendly and helpful, and the vibes were so good. We had the whole place to ourselves because of the weather and felt like VIPs! I can't wait to go back.

From the second we sat down the owner, Chris, was amazing. He was welcoming, his drinks were awesome, and the vibe in this place is really cool. I don't drink and really enjoyed the Agua Fresca. My wife had an old fashioned she said was delicious. I highly recommend this bar for a relaxed date night or a before/after dinner cocktail. We look forward to going back!

i have really enjoyed going to sagebrush. the vibes are great and the drinks are greater. there's a limited selection of cocktails to choose from which is a good thing because they're really good. if you're unsure about what to pick, the mixologist will get you right and get you with something you'll enjoy. the service is great! there's always some music going on the vinyl player. they choose some good music. it's never too loud. this is a great option to start off a date night or night on the town. access to crossroads and downtown is optimal.

Fun new spot in KCK. Created by the geniuses behind The Campground so you know it's going to be good. Simple but delicious cocktails. Tiny little spot tucked on an unassuming street. Well done Sagebrush!

Me and my friend were trying to get into Primrose however they told us they were overbooked and…read moreovercrowded so they suggested we try Common Tiger (I didn't know they were owned by the same people) and we were pleasantly surprised! It was adorable and the drinks were divine. Around Christmas they do a popup bar and in 2025 it was themed around a ski lodge. We tried to versions of the old fashioned on the menu and though we did like one over the other both were well balanced cocktails. After we ordered our libations the bartender suggested we head upstairs where it was less crowded and it was so cozy we felt like we were in someone's living room. Another couple joined us and we ended up having such a lovely conversation with them, chatting all about our favorite hot spots in Kansas City (gotta love KC pride). Just a note this is a slightly hidden speakeasy inside a pizza place, you need to have a password but it's easily found on their social media pages- just check Instagram. On our way out we decided to get a slice of pie (pizza pie that is) to balance out all that whiskey we washed down. I believe the one we got to go was called The Bee-sting, it had pepperoni and hot honey and though it was simple it hit the spot after a night of imbibing. I would most definitely revisit common tiger even without the winter aesthetic.

It was VERY loud and I didn't care for any of the drinks. The look of the spot was decent, but the…read moreoverly loud people screaming at each other and no cocktails that I enjoyed made me not want to come back. And I'm not talking standard bar noise because bars have a lot of it. No, there was literal yelling at the top of their lungs when talking to each other.

I believe we all got two drinks while we were there. Price wise they were about what I expected and not way over priced like some other places. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks. The little trash can drink was fun and had great flavors. My only negative about the place is the seating. With almost 5 feet between the seats it was hard to have a conversation with others in my group, even worse with the pair of couples next to us yelling across to each other. I was more in their conversation then I was ours since I couldn't hear my friends.

The interior is cozy and inviting, seating is limited, so plan accordingly. I got a seat at the bar and Zach did an awesome job of mixing me up some amazing drinks. I started with a Low Key Stunner. It's a great cocktail for a warm summer day, or just taking the edge off. I followed that up with a Kill Bill. It has some good zing and just a little edge to it. If you are feeling really adventurous, see if you can get a Nordic Haircut. Don't ask questions, just enjoy! Awesome location, great service, great drinks!

Holy...OMG. Come here, come here, come here…read more By some spark of light and luck we start the Valentines Day evening here. Drinks we got: - No Fly Zone - Off the Rails - Mr. Collage - Mescal Espresso Martini I got a cocktail caviar bump which - YES! Appetizer burritos complimented everything. I've driven past the Fern Bar countless times, but had never stopped in. Truthfully, I knew next to…read morenothing about it. That changed yesterday, when Diana Condori, the bar manager, was named a 2026 James Beard Outstanding Professional in Cocktail Service semifinalist. As we love supporting restaurants and bars that receive that kind of recognition, my wife and I headed to Fern Bar that evening. I was especially curious what exactly a "sugarcane and agave bar" meant. We arrived around 5:30pm and found only a handful of guests inside. After congratulating the bartender who first served us, he mentioned that Diana was working that night and would stop by to meet us. During our conversation, Diana shared that she didn't even know she had been nominated. She woke up Tuesday to a call from owner Bryan Arri, who said he had big news and was coming over. Her first thought was that something terrible had happened--like the bar had burned down. Instead, he showed up with coffee and told her she was a James Beard honoree. Diana is originally from Bolivia and has lived in Kansas City most of her life, with the exception of time spent in San Francisco during the pandemic. She further refined her cocktail craft through local pop-ups in Kansas City under the name Condor's Cove. When Bryan was preparing to open Fern Bar, he reached out to bring her onto the team. The printed cocktail menu immediately reminded me of the Monarch and the Mercury Room--not surprising given Bryan's background at Manifesto and the Monarch. Thoughtful, intentional, and clearly designed for people who appreciate serious cocktails. We planned on having one or two drinks but ended up staying for three, thanks to an outstanding lineup and a memorable conversation with Diana. We tasted: * No Fly Zone - Rum, agave, pineapple foam * Mr. Collage - Smooth, elegant, egg-white cocktail * Three Negroni Lunch - Bitter, boozy, and beautifully balanced * Pendergast No. 4 - Complex and spirit-driven * It's Bananas - Banana liqueur with bright tropical notes * Off the Rails - Creative and well-executed rum/agave cocktail One downside of many cocktail-forward bars is the lack of food, but Fern Bar offers two varieties of mini burritos for $4--just enough protein to keep things balanced while indulging. Great concept, exceptional service, and truly memorable drinks. Check it out--and be sure to say hello to Diana.

My friend and I stopped in recently on a snowy day and the place was lively and the service was on point. I forgot they had curly fries which are indeed the most superior fry in the game so, that's a big plus for me. But, what really shone through was the Chicken Caesar Wrap, it was filling and fresh. I've been on the hunt for a standout Chicken Caesar Wrap ever since they really started trending online and this one hit most of the right marks. The grilled chicken wasn't rubbery and the ratio of protein to lettuce was on point. I enjoyed that the creamy tangy caesar dressing wasn't too plentiful, if it's overdone then the wrap becomes soggy. The only thing that would have upped the ante would have been if the tortilla was grilled because it was a tad gummy. Other than that this wrap checked all the boxes. The curly fries on the out hand were near perfection, seasoned just like one of my favorite fast food restaurants and crispy without being oily. The Bar is what its namesake says, it's a neighborhood joint that serves "bar food" nothing stuffy or fancy but, great drinking food...or if you're not drinking your loss...still, the American classics are done right and you shouldn't be disappointed if you order an appetizer, burger or wrap here.

I ended up getting the breakfast burrito with their fried potatoes and it was perfect! Their potatoes are some of the best breakfast potatoes I've had at a restaurant, super crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The burrito itself was done very well also, well seasoned and loaded with filling. I also recommend getting their $4 mimosas, they definitely don't skimp on the champagne! All in all, it was a perfect patio brunch - food was great, service was great, and the food came out very quickly!
