Perfect spot for an outdoor summer drink. The vibes are immaculate and the drinks and service are top notch.

I had seen an Instagram post about this place and it looked like it was super cool. So when I found myself less then a mile away I had to check it out. Sitting off in the corner of a strip with a few shops sits a small camper. Behind that you will see the doors of a shipping container. As you walk through the doors you are greeted by a jungle of plants hanging down from the upper pergola rafters and along the walks. There is a small bar to the right of the entrance but don't let its size fool you!! This little bar and at least the night I was there two bartenders make some "Big" drinks!! Between my friend and I we ended up trying 4 different mixed drinks during our visit, each one was a completely different experience and flavor profile. The inside area is small and quant but you don't feel like you are on top of others that are around you. I have already started to plan my next visit with friends.

I'm somewhat hesitant to put this review out for fear that all of you will begin to go here! Stopped by last Saturday night for a cocktail and to explore the venue. Very unique and comfortable setting. Lot's of little nooks to hang out and talk. It's like a greenhouse with all the plants and the floor covering. It opens on Friday and Saturday at 6 o'clock. Begins to fill up closer to seven. Unique and fantastic options of creatively mixed drinks. ($10/$12) This is the kind of place the cool kids hang out.

Finally got to @panthersplacekc This place is hidden and unique with good drinks. We had a Manhattan (classic and well done) and a Mezcal grapefruit- There are so many great places to sit and enjoy.

A hidden gem, right across from Boulevard. Kind of hidden, but if you see a small lot with a metal trailer tucked in an alley, you've found it!!! I'm excited to see what this place looks like come spring, because it is a plant lovers paradise. So many vines hang from the area, which is several shipping containers (really cute concept and designs). They have several signature cocktails but it's a full bar, so they can also make anything. Multiple hidden nooks around the place for seating. And, because it's mostly all outside, very covid friendly. Bartenders and staff are amazing. They're there to answer questions about menus, help with clean up, and made me some excellent, juicy mocktails. Definitely my new favorite little oasis.

This is a great little place tucked away with plants aplenty and an intimate vibe. There's a fun outdoor spot with artificial turf and a bit more of a retro setting. Then, inside it's very woody and natural. The drinks were yummy and it was a nice place to sit and have a conversation over drinks. Been meaning to check out this spot & so glad we finally did a couple of weeks ago!

A very cool spot if you're looking for hidden gems in Kansas City. Not many people know about this because of the location, but it's a must check out place. Great cocktails!

Came to the place on first Fridays with 3 friends. We arrived around 930pm, and there was a bit of a wait. It was First Friday's, not sure if that's why it was so busy or if that's normal. But we waited and 20 mins. The place is pretty cool looking. It kinda resembles what I would think a rainforest looks like. Drinks were kinda pricey but no more than other trendy places, I think Margarita was $11. A lot of groups were here, and the crowd was very diverse. I liked the energy. One thing that could be an issue is there is only 1 bathroom stall. When I went, there were 3 people in front of me waiting, and the bathroom waiting area quickly filled up. It's an odd setup, but it was an opportunity to talk to strangers while waiting to pee. It took a while to order drinks. There isn't any table service, but a nice man did come by and clear any glasses away, and he also brought us some waters. The last thing is the music. It was weird music and seemed to get louder as the night progressed. Even though I have a few dislikes, I liked this place and would definitely go back. I like the atmosphere, crowd, and being outdoors

Suuuper cool place and a hidden gem right off Southwest boulevard. If you're looking for a simple cocktail night or a place to take visitors to, this is your place. The bar is unique in its design and decoration and definitely perfect for that Instagram/ snapchat post. They have a $10 cocktail list that's both creative and flavorful. Pick something random off the list and I bet you'll be pleased with your choice. Advice - I went on a Friday at 6pm, when they open, and they started to get full fast. It's a super chill and awesome bar, so just plan for seating to fill up fast.

Step away into a fairytale at Panther's Place. This quiet, secluded cocktail oasis in the middle of the KC crossroads is unlike anything else downtown. This space effectively removes you from the city's hustle-and-bustle while still keeping you close to all the action. I was blown away and cannot wait to get back. They serve small plates and amazing cocktails, their servers walk around so discreetly as not to ruin your intimate (or rowdy) moments in their cocktail garden. Airstreams act as their bar and there is always something new to be discovered around the corner!

Amazing place. Cool vibes, good cocktails, fun outdoor atmosphere. The pizza looks great but we didn't try it. Next time I'll get a cocktail from outpost social and walk over to sit in panthers place

This place is definitely cooler than I am! Follow on Instagram for hours. Vodka selection limited to Tito's. I should have tried a menu cocktail but it was the end of the night. I think the bartender duo also thought I was less cool than the place and that's all I'll say about that. This would be an ideal spot to take someone from out of town, or as a stop before or after an event. Maybe not the main attraction. Very quiet for a Saturday - this was unusual as I understand it.

There's an awesome sign hiding back there.

Drinks we got: - No Fly Zone - Off the Rails - Mr. Collage - Mescal Espresso Martini I got a cocktail caviar bump which - YES! Appetizer burritos complimented everything. That changed yesterday, when Diana Condori, the bar manager, was named a 2026 James Beard Outstanding Professional in Cocktail Service semifinalist. As we love supporting restaurants and bars that receive that kind of recognition, my wife and I headed to Fern Bar that evening. I was especially curious what exactly a "sugarcane and agave bar" meant. We arrived around 5:30pm and found only a handful of guests inside. After congratulating the bartender who first served us, he mentioned that Diana was working that night and would stop by to meet us. During our conversation, Diana shared that she didn't even know she had been nominated. She woke up Tuesday to a call from owner Bryan Arri, who said he had big news and was coming over. Her first thought was that something terrible had happened--like the bar had burned down. Instead, he showed up with coffee and told her she was a James Beard honoree. Diana is originally from Bolivia and has lived in Kansas City most of her life, with the exception of time spent in San Francisco during the pandemic. She further refined her cocktail craft through local pop-ups in Kansas City under the name Condor's Cove. When Bryan was preparing to open Fern Bar, he reached out to bring her onto the team. The printed cocktail menu immediately reminded me of the Monarch and the Mercury Room--not surprising given Bryan's background at Manifesto and the Monarch. Thoughtful, intentional, and clearly designed for people who appreciate serious cocktails. We planned on having one or two drinks but ended up staying for three, thanks to an outstanding lineup and a memorable conversation with Diana. We tasted: * No Fly Zone - Rum, agave, pineapple foam * Mr. Collage - Smooth, elegant, egg-white cocktail * Three Negroni Lunch - Bitter, boozy, and beautifully balanced * Pendergast No. 4 - Complex and spirit-driven * It's Bananas - Banana liqueur with bright tropical notes * Off the Rails - Creative and well-executed rum/agave cocktail One downside of many cocktail-forward bars is the lack of food, but Fern Bar offers two varieties of mini burritos for $4--just enough protein to keep things balanced while indulging. Great concept, exceptional service, and truly memorable drinks. Check it out--and be sure to say hello to Diana.

The space is smallish but they do have bar seating in addition to seating throughout. The service was friendly and the drinks were great. They don't offer food, but they do offer cocktails, beer, wine, and mocktails. I went on a Sunday and they have a special menu called "Almost Monday." It's a smaller, simpler cocktail menu and the prices are very fair compared to other cocktail spots. I tried the Caipirinha (pineapple) and the Negroni sour. Both were good. My favorite between the two was the Negroni. It had a pretty color and wasn't too sour or strong. I'd def recommend it and get it again. Definitely stop in and check out this cute spot in Shawnee.

When you arrive there is parallel parking available outside the bar. When you walk in you'll feel like your bright, vibrant, and feels incredibly welcoming. Also, they have some really fun drinks as well that have been thoughtfully put together. We ended up sitting at the bar and I started with the Reformed Porn Star (vanilla vodka, bronson's tropical milk punch, passion fruit, Prosecco, citric acid and popping boba) which was by far my favorite drink and felt like I could have drank a couple more of these. Second I tried the Neo Cosmo (white rum, strawberry, cacao, coconut, rose hip, lime, bubble) which was good and was a fun drink with an ice cream shaped cup and a bubble on the top (meant to look like an ice cream cone). If you are in the area, this bar is a must try, the bartenders were awesome and took good care of us.
