We tried to versions of the old fashioned on the menu and though we did like one over the other both were well balanced cocktails. After we ordered our libations the bartender suggested we head upstairs where it was less crowded and it was so cozy we felt like we were in someone's living room. Another couple joined us and we ended up having such a lovely conversation with them, chatting all about our favorite hot spots in Kansas City (gotta love KC pride). Just a note this is a slightly hidden speakeasy inside a pizza place, you need to have a password but it's easily found on their social media pages- just check Instagram. On our way out we decided to get a slice of pie (pizza pie that is) to balance out all that whiskey we washed down. I believe the one we got to go was called The Bee-sting, it had pepperoni and hot honey and though it was simple it hit the spot after a night of imbibing.
