Hands down the best experience I've had at the dentist. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful, and the office is clean, modern and comfortable. You can even watch a movie while getting your teeth cleaned! Dr. Dovidio and her assistant both have great bedside manners and made me feel at ease. My childhood dentist was one of my favorite people - I still remember my first dentist appointment ever, I remember drawing pictures for him as a kid, listening to his bad jokes, having him yank out my wisdom teeth (some of the worst ones he's ever seen), inviting him to my high school graduation and to my wedding a few years later. Moving away for college also meant having to find a new dentist. I haven't had much luck and have been to the worst appointments of my life (I'd rather have all my teeth fall out than go back). I don't hate the dentist like some, I love the dentist, just not the bad ones! My last experience was so bad that I haven't been back in over 9 years. This last week my wife talked me into going back and set up an appointment with your office. It was a great experience from start to finish! My experience with Dr Dovidio was highly professional and helpful. First, the office is immaculate and beautifully designed. The staff was nice and inviting. I went in for a second opinion as my main dentist had recommended that I get veneers on my front teeth. Dr Dovidio fit me into her busy schedule and took the time to explain why she wouldn't advise veneers. She recommended me to an orthodontist instead. And the results were well worth it. I had been seeing the same dentist for 9 years and always dreaded going. I had heard about Dr. Josie from some friends and had wanted to give her a try for my annual cleaning. However I got the chance to see her a bit sooner because a part of my tooth chipped off and it was difficult to eat. I wanted to be seen right away and was so pleased to be worked into the schedule on the next business day. I loved that all the new patient forms were available online so that I didn't have to schedule extra time at the office. Dr. Josie has created a welcoming and relaxing office enviornment, and her staff were joyful, accomodating and very easy to talk to. I recieved a cleaning, x-rays and had 2 teeth repaired and consider it a very nice experience. Dr. Josie repaired my teeth quickly and without any pain and followed up with me a couple days later to be sure I was happy with her work. Going in for a cleaning with Dr. Dovidio is like going in for a massage... for your gums! I never knew it was possible to have a cleaning without the occasionally painful slip of the dental pick, sore gums and stretched/cracked corners of the mouth! She's very thorough, pays attention to detail, kindly answers all your questions, and doesn't try to talk you into any extra services you don't need. My husband and I both love her and our search for the perfect dentist is finally OVER! It takes us 45 minutes to get to her, but we'd gladly make the trip if it means we'll never have to go back to the countless dentists we've tried to no avail in Los Angeles. She's the best! So I only want my teeth cleaned. She wants Xrays to find expensive things to fix. I have been told by other dentists that Xrays are often used to enrich the dentist. I don't need financial abuse I want clean teeth. Then I found out the price for my usual cleaning had gone from $85 TO $129!!! They didn't tell me that when I made the appointment. More financial abuse!!! Your gonna like other dentists better, less greedy. On a bright note Sarah the hygienist was knowledgeable, proficient, gentle, and just delightful. I was very pleased with my children's first visit and most importantly so were my children. I found Dr. Dovido on yelp about a month ago after having experienced some unscrupulous dentists. And there are quite a few out there. Even before we went in for a visit, Dr. Dovido personally took the time to help me out with my insurance eligibility. She is just so down to earth. She didn't try to do any unnecessary work and one thing I found very interesting was this was the first time my children felt very responsible for their own oral hygiene. They told me what was going on in their mouths and what they needed to do. Apparently Dr. Dovido had taken the time to explain the issues to them as well so they felt very responsible.
