Dr Lulu Tang is the best in the business in Vegas. She made me feel comfortable & secure being that I told her how much of a phobia I had being at the dentist's office. Sierra deep cleaned my teeth and she also made me feel comfortable after I told her how I disliked needles. She asked multiple times how I felt & she just made it easy for me. Protect these 2 ladies at all costs. Definitely recommend their services. They're are truly great at what they do but more importantly great human beings. My grandmother is 84 years old and stubborn as hell but legit won't go anywhere else to get dental work done now! Between Dr. Tang and her associates (Chasity, Key & Nicole) there just isn't another dental office you should be trusting with your teeth. I've been in the mirror all morning hoping I find a cavity just so I have a reason to go in myself! Not to mention the most welcoming front desk staff in town. I started seeing Dr. Lulu Tang (Cheng) "Owner DENTIST" in 2025, and I can confidently say my experience with her was extremely disappointing. Things started off neutral, but every visit revealed more issues, and it became clear that her level of professionalism and skill was far below what any patient should expect. From the beginning, there were major red flags. I walked into a treatment room with a used glove on the floor, and on multiple visits I witnessed clear HIPAA violations, including other patients' information displayed on the screen in my treatment room. These are basic standards of care that should never be ignored!!! When I finally moved forward with treatment, I was told to raise my hand if I felt pain. The moment I did, I was spoken to in an incredibly disrespectful tone and told to "tilt my head and stay still." Even her own dental assistant looked shocked and kept trying to get Dr. CHENG Tang's attention, saying "Doc... Doc," clearly seeing I was in pain. Despite this, Dr. CHENG Tang refused to provide more anesthesia, leaving me to endure a level of pain that was completely unnecessary and unacceptable. To make matters worse, I later noticed "experimental coding" on my future treatment plans. Also I overheard her asking her dental assistant what she thought the "best action" was for my treatment. That alone made me question whether I was receiving proper, competent dental care or if I was being treated like a practice case which appeared to be the case most of the time. Her attitude toward me changed dramatically once I came to appointments alone. The friendliness disappeared. She became short, dismissive, and barely explained anything. More than once, I felt like I was being diagnosed by the dental assistant rather than the dentist, which is outrageous! My overall experience with Dr. Tang bordered on negligence & reminds me of a social media plastic surgeon who got her licenses permanently revoked for practicing unsafe care & recording treatments (with consent). I left every visit feeling unheard, disrespected, and unsafe in her care. I would strongly advise anyone considering her to proceed with extreme caution -- and to bring someone with you, because her behavior shifts noticeably depending on whether you're accompanied. But of course true character will always prevail in the brightest lights! Alicia from the front desk is very kind & bubbly. Brittney Office Manager is very rude & lacks great customer service skills as she is passive aggressive & dismissive. Dr. Kim is fast & creates a pain free post-care experience. I suggest reading the 1 and 2 star reviews before deciding to come here. This place is dishonest and charges high prices. They will try to scare you into thinking you have or in the early stages of periodontal disease and that you need very expensive deep cleaning to prevent. Not only that, this is the only place where I have to pay on top of my insurance for general cleaning even though it's covered. They bill the insurance for every little thing, such as "oral hygiene instructions" and taking x-rays every visit to inflate the bill. Look over your itemized bill carefully and do your own research on the services they're pushing or just go somewhere else that doesn't charge your insurance over $1k for general cleaning. read more

From the very beginning, my experience with this office was disappointing. Even when I called in severe pain and explained that I had been referred for an urgent consultation, the staff would not schedule me until I paid a HEFTY deposit upfront. I explained that I couldn't afford it immediately but that the situation was urgent. They wouldn't budge, which felt very unaccommodating for a dental emergency. Only that but the days that they were willing to do a consult, we're very limited and few and far between. When I finally was seen, the office itself was very clean and well-kept. Unfortunately, my appointment with Dr. Chow was extremely brief. He spent maybe five minutes with me, performed a few quick tests, and then dismissed my pain as being sinus-related. (I don't have any sinus issues ) I was very clear that my pain was in tooth #13 where I had a previous root canal, yet he did not take the time to investigate further with more extensive imaging or examination. Fast-forward three months and after seeking a second opinion, I learned I had a severe infection in that exact tooth. An abscess had developed, The original root canal had cracked and had been causing problems for quite some time. The infection was so advanced that the tooth now needs to be extracted immediately. I've been on antibiotics and pain medication ever since, and the Endodontist I saw for a second opinion isn't even sure I'll be able to get an implant because of how much bone mass has already been destroyed. To make matters worse, when I reviewed Dr. Chow's notes, he documented that I did not report being in pain which is absolutely false and a complete lie. I was in severe pain, made that very clear, and that is the entire reason I was referred to him. This experience has cost me my tooth, months of unnecessary suffering, ongoing antibiotics and pain management, and potentially the option of an implant in the future. Had Dr. Chow listened to me, taken more time, and done proper imaging, there may have been a chance to save my tooth. I cannot recommend this office or Dr. Chow. If you do see them, please make sure to get a second opinion. read more

I waited a year to post this review because I didn't want to negatively impact a business before I was sure they were wrong. I visited for a standard cleaning and check-up. Like many of the other 1 star reviews, I was told that I have periodontal disease and I required a special cleaning not covered by insurance for $1,200.00 I found this odd, I've never had a cavity and no dentist had ever told me my gums were outside of a normal range. Anyways, I skipped the cleaning that year because I was skeptical. They legitimately have a psa poster on the wall of the office where they examine you stating the percentage of the population that has gum disease like some sort of propaganda.. it felt fishy, so I took my X-rays and left. A year later, I went to a new dentist. Of course, they tell me I don't have periodontal disease and give me a standard cleaning and tell me to "keep up the good work!" I'll be seeing them again in 6 months. Do not go to this office. They're trying to get money out of you and sell you services you do not need. read more

Was a patient until today because they offer the ability to upload documents but they don't bother to check it for weeks and call a week before to let you know they don't take the insurance. Also outrageous prices and adding things that I don't actually need like a cancer screening in my mouth. You can be nice and have the best customer service but this is trash. Whatever "system" you have is faulty and it's screwing people over. Leave it to a high end dental office to screw people over. Dr LuLu Tang is by far the best dentist that I have ever been to. She is young but she takes pride in her work, professional, detailed and gentle. When she walks in the room she makes you feel important and happy to see you. I the last few months, Dr Tang did 4 new crowns for me. I did not feel any pain and she is extremely knowledgeable and really cares about you being comfortable. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I came in today to get a root canal from Dr. Chow and a crown put in by Dr. Tang. My root canal experience was seamless and pain free. Dr. Chow did an amazing job talking me through the procedure and it went by very fast! If I had to get a root canal again I would definitely be booking it with him! Dr. Tang did an outstanding job making my crown to fit me and was so gentle. I have extremely sensitive teeth and she was very patient with me and really handled my teeth with the upmost care. BAIT AND SWITCH. We're new to town and I'm looking for a new dentist. I loved my old one, who I saw on a regular basis for cleanings 3-4 times a year and have been with for over five years. I had my last cleaning in April 2024 and was in office in June 2024 for a bonding procedure. I paid for orthodontia in my 40's. I'm no slacker on dental care. I see that Sahara Modern Dentistry advertises a new patient special for $59 for an exam, x-ray, and cleaning on Yelp. It has very good reviews. We're in-between insurance, I'm due for a cleaning, and I'm thinking I can pay out of pocket this time to try them out until our insurance kicks in. I called and made an appointment for July 11th. I showed up, was checked in by the receptionist, and brought in for my x-rays. The technician was pleasant. I was brought to another area and met Dr. Chung. I explained my situation to her, specifically telling her that I routinely clean my teeth, had them cleaned in April, and that my dental health was good. She did an exam, and then said that someone would come in with an estimate. The receptionist came in and showed me an estimate for $259. I asked her about the $59 new patient special. She said she would check. About 10-15 minutes later, she came back and said that Dr. Chung diagnosed me with periodontal disease and because of that, I had to get a deeper type cleaning that cost more. I told her that I just had my teeth cleaned in April, that I've been cleaning my teeth routinely 3-4 times a year for years, and my prior dentist never said I had any gum issues. I asked her if I can get a regular cleaning. She said they wouldn't do it! So I said I was leaving. They charged me $50 for the x-rays and exam. What a freaking joke and a total waste of my time. I can't imagine what they say to someone who hasn't seen a dentist in awhile if they say I have periodontal disease when I see one regularly and clean my teeth more than the average bear. I thought the office was beautiful and modern, and they seemed up to date on their tech. I was hoping this could be my new dental home. But dishonesty is not a good look, no matter how it is dressed up. read more

I had my visit yesterday and saw Dr. Tang for my first dental visit at this office. She is very attentive, caring, and approachable! If you get anxious or scared going to the dentist, definitely see Dr. Tang because she really has this calming aura and is very understanding! She really takes the time in getting to know you and addressing any concerns. She explained everything to me in detail and was informative in each procedure! I travel for work and so it's hard for me to find a dental office that's open on a Friday in the afternoon. I worked the graveyard shift and just flew in! Doctor Lulu Tang is literally the best dentist in LV. As someone who used to work at a dental office, I know that offices have certain quotas for $$ and other things. When I tell you, this place is NOTHING like that. Dr. Lulu literally has the best bed side manner I've ever seen. She's so patient and caring towards people's budgets and pain levels. I have recommended and gotten my mother and my husband to see her. It was the best decision. If, after reading this, you still want to try this place, good luck! I went for a checkup/x-rays and was met by Rolanda Chung. Every fake-smiley word she uttered dripped with "I am salivating over the thought of draining your wallet!" She would tell me how she was going to "educate" me as if I'd never seen a dentist before. That or all my dentists were stupid till she came along. Her manner was off-putting in under a minute. But I kept an open mind; if she was half as great as she thought she was, I'd be ok with that. She picked through my teeth (painfully) while rapidly hollering out a series of numbers. Is this supposed to impress? She then rattled off some high-speed verbiage about what she was doing, then asked me, "Was that clear?" No, I said. She repeated the same explanation, then asked, "NOW, WAS THAT CLEAR?" "Look," I replied, "I get that you want me to say yes. But all you did was rush through the same explanation twice. And I'm not a dentist, you know." Her manner turned snappy and annoyed, like a child who did not get her way. Seriously, this is professional behavior? She was not deciding whether to hire me, I was deciding whether to hire her. She seemed to not understand that. I asked something it had never occurred to me to ask anyone before: I asked how long she'd been a dentist. She waffled something about "involved in dentistry for years." I repeated the question. She finally replied, "Three years." That's all, yet so much arrogance. Unbelievable. Then she sent someone in to discuss the billing. The cleaning/x-rays were "normally" approximately $1,200 (no, I'm not kidding); but gave me the *special price* of $50! Oh boy! How much was the normal price at the other dentists I called? $50. But here at Sahara Dentistry, they say it like I should be thanking them. Next, they gave me a list of treatments they said needed to be done, all at RIDICULOUS prices unless I paid for some yearly club membership; even then, the prices were only marginally less absurd. And there's more! At the end, I asked to use the restroom, and commented to the staffer, "So... Rolanda has all of three years of experience, hmm..." When I exited the restroom, the staffer called me over and said, "Oh! The head of this dentistry wants to meet YOU!" As if she was the Queen of England. This woman greeted me with the same insincere smile as Chung (Rolanda), while telling me how she could not wait to see me (i.e. my wallet) back in the office. I went home and made an appointment with the next dentist on my list. What a contrast! He was everything Chung was not: professional, experienced, and down to earth. And he had been a dentist for more than triple the length of time as Chung. Also, REASONABLE prices, many fees being half of what Sahara changed and some even less. And no "yearly club membership" nonsense. Now I am getting slammed with Sahara's constant email requests for feedback, donation requests, self-promotions, etc. What a nerve! Maybe this review will put a stop to that. I sure hope so. read more

I had a great experience here as a new patient. I did x-rays, an exam, and a regular cleaning. Everyone I interacted with was very nice and professional. The doctor explained things well and made sure any questions I had were answered. I am new to the area so I am happy to have found my new dental office on the first try! I may need to have some dental work done (a crown) within the next couple years so I will update my review once I have anything other than the routine-like things done. I chipped my tooth just before I moved back to town last month and needed to find a new dentist to help me out. I called around after scanning Yelp for a bit and found that SHD had an opening the following day with Dr. Chung. I was relying on the experiences described in positive reviews and I am glad that I did. The office itself is very clean and comfortable and the staff and dentists themselves are all very friendly. I sopke to Dr. Tang just for a moment as she was manning the front desk and she seemed great although Dr. Chung was the one who really impressed me as she was the one who helped me with my teeth. The staff were great in helping me with all the new client exams and x-rays as well as the explanation of potential benefits with my insurance plan. I did not think I would be covered but they showed me the details anyway. Dr. Chung gave me the most throughough cleaning I have receieved in years even though it was not technically a "deep clean" She also did a great job on fixing the chip in my front tooth. She even came back after finishing everything up to help me extract a stubborn popcorn flake that must have been hiding from the previous night. My insurance did not cover the bill as expected but when I called the office this morning to settle the bill, Natasha informed me that they would not charge me for the x-rays and only the cleaning and the chip repair which could not have made me happier. I will definetly be seeing Dr. Chung regularly and will happily reccomend this practice to anyone I know looking for a new dentist! read more

While the office staff and dentists are kind, I was told it would be one price, paid that, insurance billed, then I was balance billed. I was told by two different people in the office that they are fighting with my insurance because they said they agreed to pay that cost, and they will get back to me after it's figured out. A few weeks go by, no one called me back as they told me they would, and they sent me to collections!!! I've left messages in the portal, no one replies. This is no way to do business. When I spoke to my insurance company, they told me the office should NOT be billing me more and when we went through all I paid, it didn't match up with what my insurance said it should be. I was told I OVERPAID! Also...the dentist told me I needed a few crowns for over $1100 each, but I have literally no idea which teeth because I'm not having any issues. It's sad because everyone was nice, but being told one price, then being charged another, and then being balance billed months later is ridiculous. read more

Everyone here is very nice and informative. I enjoyed the teeth cleaning. But I would not return because they suggested thousands of dollars of dental work including multiple root canals and crowns. I went to two other dentists and both of them said I only need cavities filled. Besides the crazy price tag , root canals are an absolute last resort and can actually cause damage. This place seems great for cleanings and maintaining your oral health. They accept Delta Dental and they list many insurances they accept on their website. There is online booking - yay! They do a lot to give back - many of the dentists do volunteering and even dental mission trips. They have modern equipment including digital x-rays and I think they might have cone beam x=rays (they have a kind of imaging that goes 360 degrees around your head). I have a disability and they were very accommodating and didn't make me feel bad about it. They play upbeat music, which makes going to the dentist less unpleasant. The cleaning with the ultrasonic water device was pretty gentle compared to the drill-like cleanings I used to have that would hurt me, they did some gentle scraping too. The dentist (Dr. Tang) gave me some good suggestions for my overall oral health home care. The practice is very committed to helping you have good periodontal health to help the health of your body and reduce overall inflammation (there's a lot of info about this on the desk in the reception area, and the dentist talked about it too). read more

I was lucky to get in same day for an emergency appointment to replace a filling that came out. From the moment I walked in, the staff all greeted me warmly and were very friendly and professional. I went through several steps and with different staff from the intake to X-ray to meeting with Dr. Nguyen. They all explained everything thoroughly, what my options were, exactly what I needed to do and what would happen. I felt like they were consultative and had my best interests in mind, and never pressured me into any potentially unnecessary treatments. I also got some significant discounts as a cash paying customer. My filling and took cracked and it became necessary after several failed fillings to do a crown. They were able to do it all in the same day since they make the crown in house instead of farming it out to a third party like many other dental offices have to do. This made a huge difference for me getting this taken care of since I'm traveling and only here for a few days. Overall I highly recommend them for using the best and most modern/current materials and equipment, friendly and competent staff, and pleasant and immaculate office. read more

Had a crown come off my tooth during a recent business trip, but able to make an emergency appt with Dr Nguyen. Both her and the staff were incredible and helped put all my fears at ease. Faculty is nice and clean and i was in and out without any issues.
