I have been going to this dentist office since October 2024 and this review has been a long time coming. I first moved to Las Vegas from New York City (Manhattan) in July of 2023, and because NYC healthcare in general is in my opinion, a cut above a lot of other places, I kept going back to my NYC dentist for my Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 check-ups and cleanings. But by Fall 2024, I knew it was time to find someone local. After a meticulous search, I arrived upon this office and based on reviews online from multiple sources, decided to try it. And I was not disappointed at all. Cindy was my hygienist and had amazing bedside manner so to speak, and we had an awesome conversation as I had my teeth cleaned. Jen at the front desk was, is, and probably always will be an extremely pleasant, warm, and welcoming presence in the office. You will notice I actually got a chance to get to know the staff. And finally Dr. Gelo himself is skillful, super competent, and while I wasn't looking for this, to my relief, is a New Yawker. And the reason why I put such a premium on ppl from New York is because we have a work ethic and drive that I don't think exists to the same extent anywhere else in the country. So I knew then, and know now, that I'm probably seeing the best dentist in Las Vegas. So if you are looking for a new dentist, proceed without reservation or hesitation. This dental office deserves five stars and more. I am totally pleased with my experiences there so far. I found them almost by accident, through an internet post, but I am so glad I did. I was not looking forward to having a tooth implanted to replace the one that had been removed. It felt like a scary medical procedure, not to mention the high cost. I just can't say enough about Dr Gelo and his staff. First, the experience was smooth and very well done. Dr Gelo is patient and always ready to explain in detail what is happening. And after doing lots of research the cost was extremely low for such a procedure. I checked a number of other offices before I went there. Also, periodically they do specials and one can take advantage of them. I followed up my original procedure with a cleaning and a couple of exams, all totally satisfactory. I found Amazing Smile Dentistry online and after reading all the reviews I decided to make an appointment. I have not had a good dental experience in past 5 years so I'm very leery. Well, it was a great experience and I'm keeping them as my dentist! I'm planning to have my husband go there too who's had worse experience than I had because I know they will take care of him. To be a bit specific, Jen is friendly at the get go. She loves to smile and as I walked in, I love the friendly vibe, the cleanliness and the modern decor. It smells good too! She directed me to a computer to put in all my information which I thought was very cool. Then, Cyndi did my XRays and she was so gentle. This is the part when in the past, my gums were sore afterwards. She must have used some padding idk but I did not feel like I was choking when the thing was in my mouth. Dr Gelo is great! He did my initial exam and utilized this computer images of my teeth in front of me, so I can follow what he's saying and have a better understanding of what he's talking about . When we came up with my dental plan, he was honest about what we can do and cannot do. Overall I did not feel any pressure about the financial aspect of it. He also cleaned my teeth instead of me making another appointment for the dental hygienist who's off. I never had a dentist clean my teeth! That is delegated task in general. But Dr Gelo took the time on my first appointment to do it. I can tell he cares about his patients' dental health. I am impressed with the overall care I received. I highly recommend Dr Gelo as your dentist. It's hard to find a good dentist but look no further than this dental clinic. I would even recommend him to people I know who does not live in LV to come to Vegas to do their cosmetic dentistry because he's meticulous, practices dentistry as an art to give you the great smile, and truly care about the quality of dental care he provides. Also provided a referral. They were very friendly and professional. I'd especially like to highlight what I thought was patient centric approach. The options we reviewed varied significantly in cost, and there was no pressure for the higher priced procedure.
