I was a patient of this practice for approximately 10 years and was undergoing Invisalign treatment when the office became unexpectedly unavailable. Beginning in August, multiple appointments were cancelled or rescheduled while I was in the refinement stage of treatment. While I understand that scheduling changes happen, the repeated disruptions made continuity difficult during active orthodontic care. After a rescan for refinements, I waited approximately five weeks for new trays and was instructed to continue wearing the same aligner due to "shipping delays." I ultimately wore that tray long enough for it to develop a hole from extended use. The practice website later stated the office was "temporarily closed due to unforeseen circumstances," and I received communications indicating the office was closed. During that time, I was unable to reach the office by phone. Given that I was mid-treatment and needed reliable follow-up, I transferred my Invisalign case to another provider. The day before a previously scheduled appointment, I received a call from a different number (displayed under a different business name) asking if I was still coming in. This was confusing given the prior closure notices and inability to contact the office. Orthodontic treatment requires consistent access, timely follow-up, and clear communication. I had such a great experience with Dr. Chawla and his lead RDA, Raji McGraw that I had to share. I went in to have my permanent crown placed, and during the visit I mentioned a small bump on my gum that I was a little concerned about. Terrible. They canceled an appointment for me back in December the day of stating they will reach out to reschedule and still have not reached out. (I see they are now closed, this was not the case when they cancelled on me). During one of my appointments Dr. Chawla even asked for a monetary donation for something for his mom. This office is fine as far as the dental work. There business practice is no different than the other dentists in town. They provide a quote, you agree to the quote, and then they provide the service. You might find that your insurance didn't cover as much as they Bella said they would. You now have to come out of pocket with more money. Here's what they don't tell you: They can pre-authorize the services, to see what will be covered. Avoiding a surprise weeks later when they send you a text asking for more money. Businesses that want to avoid asking their patients for more money would do well to pre-auth the charges. But they wont do that. The front office also doesn't like to be asked about this. Very short, condescending, and cold. The lesson here, pre-auth your estimate before they do the work. Bella is in the business of making money off services. They are not really concerned if your insurance will actually cover it. They tell you only what's necessary to get you to agree to the quote - even if it's unverified or inaccurate. Shady business? borderline. Could they do better by there customer, but perhaps lose some revenue, yes. But that wont happen. beware. read more
