Came in on a Sunday afternoon, was greeted by a wonderful kind young lady in the office. Very hospitable, nice little waiting area with A/C to keep cool in the middle of summer while my car was looked at. Mechanic showed me the part of my catalytic converter that was making the noise and the showed me the piece he would be replacing it with, provided the cost of the work and after getting the go for it from me he went straight to work. After the work was completed, the mechanic showed me the new part he placed on my car and then showed me the old part and what was making the noise. Took no more than an hour to get everything done and no hidden fees. Will definitely recommend this little place and will be back if I need any future work done. read more

I went to Sahara Muffler the next day and had my car up and running within an hour and a half and was charged $550 all together including labor and a new cat. I've brought 5 cars here over the years and they always work far and above everyone else, my advice get a quote from other places which my wife took to get an estimate which was over $1000 and Sahara did extra for less than half that price!! Trust me !! Please come here last!!! You'll never go anywhere else!! Owner took my car in immediately and did so much extra for the same price quoted! He welded my exhaust manifold in several places that had cracks, they did this without asking for more $ and really didn't have to, but this is how they run their business! Truthful! They only take cash and the converter they put in my vehicle is too small. They downsized a 3" pipe to put a 2" converter on it. Thr car runs fine like that but it's cheap and cutting corners. The shop was being ran by two young guys that are practically kids and one of them said he hasn't been welding more than a couple months. His welding beads looked good but the way he crammed that in doesn't speak quality. There is no office so wait in your car and you basically got to get in line, though it isn't hard to be seen. I still gave them 4 stars because I haven't found a good muffler shop in Vegas yet and most are over priced and take a while to get in. This place has a good thing going but they need to work on their image and need to make sure they are installing the right equipment. read more

I called them and asked for the price to get my catalytic converter changed since i already had the new part, and then i asked how long it would take and i was told an hour. I brought my kids with me and we waited in the waiting area and they were pretty nice. They didn't seem to mind my kids. And then my car was done within the hour i was told it would take on the phone and the price was the same as well as i was told on the phone. After my car was done, they gave my daughters a gift.
