Now they're pretending I'm not one of their customers so I'm posting this receipt picture right here.

This company is a total fraud. Wasting 4 full days and charging me $1000 and not only not fixing a single problem, but made my car much worse. Now they're pretending I'm not one of their customers so I'm posting this receipt picture right here. Avoid these scammers at all costs!!!!! They said they replaced the alternator, now they say the computer needs to be replaced too for the alternator to charge my battery. What a joke !! Every other mechanic I talked to and scanned my car says it has absolutely nothing to do with the computer. Also my computer was working for weeks before I sent my car to your auto shop . Totally fraud and won't take responsibility. You're only good at charging money and wasting people's time. After replacing the computer, what's next? Replacing the whole engine so the alternator can work? First they denied that I'm one of their customers, after I posted the photo of the receipt, now they're blaming me for the alternator not charging the battery , after charging one grand for replacing the alternator. Scam , fraud, dishonest and disgusting behavior.

We had a positive experience about 18 months again at Passion Auto, so when we had an issue with our Civic we brought it here. What an expensive and costly experience for us this time around! We showed Matt videos of the issue we were having with the car. If you drove it an hour or so, it would not restart once you turned it off. This led to being stranded at a gas station twice in a week. Paid $75 for a diagnostic check and was told we needed a new starter and a valve gasket cover. This cost us around $850. Well, the same exact problem happened on the same day after picking up the vehicle back up. So of course we brought it back. Then Matt says he believes it's a heat sensor. He believes he is 85% sure. He originally quotes us $228 more for that. After a back and forth , Matt knocks it down to $170. We agree to this because we don't want to start over with another mechanic. The same exact problem happens yet again. His solution is to then tell us to take it to the dealership. Wow. YOU are the mechanic and I am out over $1k and the car is doing the exact same thing it was doing the day before I brought it to Passion Auto. This is a civic with barely 50k miles on it. I feel very confident we didn't need a new starter at the very least. He insists it was covered in oil but no pics or videos or even just showing us. This guy took our $1k, didn't fix the problem at all and recommended we take it to a dealer after 3 trips to his shop in a week. That is unbelievable to me. Well, we did take it to the dealership and turns out it was the fuel pump. It was the fuel pump, Matt. That's all. Apparently the $75 diagnostic we paid for wasn't able to pick up the fuel pump as being the culprit. What diagnostic check can't pick up a vital issue with the fuel pump?? The car is now running like a champ but we are still $1 k lighter for repairs and parts we didn't need and clearly didn't fix the issue. I would not recommend this place at all anymore. I've never had a mechanic tell me to take it to another mechanic after taking my money before. At least the dealership knew how to fix the issue, and the car is running fine now. Good luck with this place. If they can't figure it out, they will just tell you to go to someone who can. Awesome. 1 star.

Omg!! The best experience ever & I can't recall the lovely mans name that was leaving that day for vacation & it was his wife's bday. He stayed after .& helped me get freeon in my AC on a late Saturday afternoon to allow me & my babies to get home.safe next day. So lucky I got this amazing soul & gentleman to help me!

I brought my car in because it was shaking and idling really rough -- I honestly thought I just needed a tune-up. Matt and his team immediately recommended a full inspection, and they went straight to the real issue. The engine mounts were completely shot and needed to be replaced. They gave me a very fair price using genuine BMW parts, finished the work way ahead of schedule, and got me back on the road fast. Even with a full shop, they treated me like a priority and delivered true 5-star service.

I have never been angrier in my life with a business. When I first took my car to Passion Auto Repair, I had high hopes. They had mostly good reviews, their prices seemed fair, and they were able to take me in right away. Unfortunately, that was the start of a nightmare. On my first visit, I paid $293.18 for spark plugs and an ignition coil. The very next day, my check engine light came back on. I returned, and they reset the light, telling me it was actually a fuel pressure sensor issue and quoted me $182.56 more. A week later, I brought the car back for that repair. After I paid, the mechanic literally told me, "Drive it around and see what happens. I have no way of knowing if the check engine light will come back on." The very next day...it did. At this point, I had been to their shop three different times for the same issue. My car is a 2019 Ford with under 40,000 miles, very well maintained, so these problems make no sense. Especially after they claimed to have "fixed them" Between the shady repairs, the money I've already lost, and the fact that the same issue keeps coming back, I no longer trust this business at all. Finally, I went in calmly to discuss a refund. Instead of professionalism, I was met with hostility. After a very defensive back-and-forth, the owner told me to "Get the hell out of his shop." I now truly question how they have so many positive reviews. My experience matches all the negative reviews word-for-word, and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I will be sharing my story with everyone I can so others don't get taken advantage of the same way.

Do I have to make a time reservation?

You should always. How else would you know if the people/persons will be there when you arrive. Otherwise, it's probably going to be a wasted trip.

How much does a smog check cost?

We will scan your vehicle for free to ensure is it ready for smog, unfortunately we do not offer SMOG check or renewals at this location.

And if they have to figure it out, I fully trust them in not trying to rip me off; they will explain what they feel they can control. We've been going since 2024; they moved location to 3915 W Twain Ave. I kept forgetting to create this review. - In the past, an oil change, oil filter would be like 15-20min for $30ish cash/zelle. - This visit we brought our own oil, oil filter, filters (cabin/engine), fuel system cleaner; and pay for labor. All of this + whole car quick check is 45min-1hr from $70. We already have our own oil due to needed to refill the Prius every so often. Otherwise, I don't think its an issue to just use their supplies? Waiting room is clean with comfortable new couches, coffee Keurig cup machine, etc. It has ac. You'll have to walk through the left door office, and it's in the back area of it. Towing: - We called Tyler Auto and they were willing to take us in. They took in our car from being towed for simple stupid mistake by us (no gas, we have a dashboard blank out issue/typical issue for old Prius in hot climate places). - Towed our car in. Apparently a lot of cars get towed here. Alot of the Vietnamese restaurant owners bring their car there which is a good sign to us. - Tow person's tip: Police tow will cost around $500 where cops also get a cut from it. Don't take a Police tow unless you have to. Cash or Zelle is best. They have QR code to pay.

When I arrived, I saw that the Union Pacific Railroad had fenced and locked the gate to the road you used to use to get to the spot. Just after the fence was a dirt road leading to where I wanted to go. I went off road, realized the ground was soft, but I was able to get up 2/3 of the hill before my car wouldn't go any further. It was like being in the snow back in New York. I backed down the hill expecting to just drive away and foprget this outking. However, that idea was abandoned when my car got stuck in very soft and deep desert sand and some dead creosote bushes had stopped by backward progress. Here I am, stuck about 5 miles from a truck stop and I had no water (some desert rat I am)! After wondering what to do, I finally called the non=-emergency 311 number. I explained by predicament and asked if they could advise me what to do. This was the North Las Vegas police department. They decided it would be best to talk top Las Vegas Metro Police and they transferred me. Metro decided it was best to transfer the call to the Nevada Highway Patrol given I was in them middle of nowhere. After talking to NHP for a short ime, the call was cut off. Using Yelp, I eventually got connected with a towing service out of North Las Vegas (Elite Towing). They knew my general location and what I needed. In about 3/4 of an hour, I saw the flatbed arrive. I was going to be extricated from the mess I had gotten myself in. The driver came over and started up the hill and would pull the front out. When he realized the softness of the sand, he backed down and decided to pull the car from the back end. He attached the winch cables and I was told to turn the wheel when the car was leaving the sand and getting onto the packed gravel road, and it worked just fine! I was free. The driver, a very pleasant young man, disconnected the cables and I was free to go. I made no attempts to get to the site. I had learned my lesson. After a quick turn around, I was headed back to Las Vegas. Many thanks to Elite Towing for their response which was timely given where I was. I also decided that I'd rent a four wheel drive when I go back. (some people never learn)! I knew I shouldn't have traded my 4x4 xTerra. But I lknow if I'm in range where I can get help, Elite will be there to rescue the jerk who got himself stuck in the desert.
