My housemate usually picks up our Sahara, but I had a great experience at Sahara last night-- our pizzas were perfectly made to order and very flavorful, not skimping on ingredients. Usually i'm not a huge fan of Hawaiian pizza, but Sahara knocked it out of the park! I would like to shout out the hardworking staff; Emma, Robert, Lucas, (all insides!) and manager Mike, who were extremely helpful and friendly. Clearly, it's a great crew! The guys tonight made my pizza perfect. I wanted a thin crust lions feast. Nothing special but I like a crispy crust. I'm talking just before burnt and that my friends is what I got. They were thinking it was beyond edible but nope. They even started to make a new one thinking it was bad. No way. It was perfect. To to it off the ranch made it all the better. Food was about a 3 star, only one 4 so far in the area tho. But because the mngr cares and offered us another try, have to give this place a 4 overall. The thin crust was a little better, still a bit soft, and the sauce could be better. Meat on lions feast was a bit less than expected. read more

Friendly over-the-phone service! We had a carry out order and all of the staff were so sweet. Considering it was a Friday night, they were professional with their manners and it definitely makes a difference for sure. Aside from that, the pizza was AMAZING!!!!! Best pizza in a 30 mile radius but if you order delivery, they will forget your sauces 70% of the time. I've ordered from here 100s of times. Tipped big, tipped small. Huge orders, and orders that barely meet the delivery fee. Doesn't matter. They will mess up your order the majority of the time. Cinnamon sticks w no icing. Cheeseticks w no ranch. Pizza w no marinara dip. Call to tell them and I get the manager on the phone "so, whats your issue?" "OH, my order was wrong" "ok and how do you wanna handle it?" Just had my first experience with Sahara's Pizza. Delivered when they stated, delivery driver (young man, didn't catch his name) was very nice. Now the best...the pizza was amazing. I have had a long week...oh wait, it's only Monday lol. I splurged because it was so warm and so fresh. I blame you, Sahara Pizza for my water retention and tight pants tomorrow! I ordered a Meatball Grinder for pickup and as I had left directly from my home, had an opportunity to observe them making pizzas, including my sandwich. I watched two workers spread the dough, spread the toppings, all without gloves. Ok...I guess they sanitize between pizzas...nope. After making the pizzas, and my sandwich with bare hands, they went to the register and started counting the evening till. Paper money, aka "dirty paper", coins...and when finished, answered the phones, taking orders. From there, I watched as they grabbed a round ball of dough, without washing their hands, and proceed to spread it, and those germs from the money and phone, over the next pizza...it was revolting, and I had to contain myself from scolding them. I rationalized to myself that my grinder had been sterilized by the broiler, took my sandwich and left. I've always enjoyed Sahara Pizza, but no more. read more

Best pizza I've ever had. Pretty much 3 choices for delivery by us in Machias. The two big ones use door dash and other 3rd party delivery. Mixed results on delivery and you know what the pizza is like. Do yourself a favor and try Sahara if its in your area. Never disappointed. Tip your driver as the Lake Stevens location uses actual drivers and not uber, very friendly and you may get to know your delivery driver's name. read more

Delicious pizza! The garlic knots were the highlight in my opinion. They do a good (albeit expensive) gluten free pizza too. A little on the pricey side. Best aspect was how quickly they delivered - we were quoted 1hr and it arrived in ~35min! 3 large pizzas and 2 orders of garlic knots was more than enough for 5 adults and 2 pre-teen boys. It cost me $30 for delivery of a flippin' pizza? I have to say it was worth every single penny! They delivered a piping HOT, sausage, mushroom & black olive work of art, all ingredients fresh & generous thick sliced juicy shrooms (which you NEVER get elsewhere). If you're looking for the standard "book it" Pizza place, go elsewhere. If you're looking for an older style, extremely customizable, and very unique Pizza, this is your place. I've never been inside, so I don't know how the interior looks, but the delivery is prompt, my order has always been accurate, the pizzas are amazing, and the ranch dressing is on point. In fact, I love the ranch so much, it has become the base of my pizzas. My recommendation would be the pepperoni popper or my own creation. Ranch sauce, mozzarella and cheddar cheese, pepperoni, jalapeños, artichoke hearts, and mushrooms. Tastes way better than it sounds. Pro tip: not a fan of pizza crust? Disappointed in the service. Ordered 2 pizzas while on our way home. Picked them up and took them to the house. Opened up the one and it wasn't what we ordered. (I know; should check before I left but that is a two way street). Call up Sahara to let them know that not only is our order messed up but so is the person who ordered the one we got. To solve this it was required that we bring the pizza back to Sahara. In essence I had to deliver the pizza twice to myself... finally got the correct pizza. After all is said; send a message (Wednesday) to the store and don't get a response. So i am now asking on yelp if this is the common and accepted practice at Sahara pizza? read more

I am extremely impressed this place a a diamond in the rough. They have a great portion sizes and prices! They were one of the only places open past 8 on a Sunday.
