Decided to change things up & try this restaurant (i.e. my usual go-to Vietnamese restaurant was closed). Ihad my standard fare of spring rolls & a bun bowl with eggrolls. I was not disappointed, the food was very good. The service was also very friendly. But the prices are significanlty higher than other places, but that also maybe a wash depending on how far you have to drive. So you may have a usual spot, but I think variety & choices are good things. Recommended!

Best egg rolls and chicken wings in town. We typically eat more of the Vietnamese dishes and all have been great. Pho and chicken with vermicelli are my favorite.

I love their Kung Pao Chicken dish. Always fresh, always hot. I ask for extra spicy and it does not disappoint. Service is always excellent. My wife and I just love this place.

My favorite boy is almost in kindergarten and we both needed a pho fix- meatball for him, rare beef and tendon for me and OMG. Service is lovely, and polite- something I don't expect but our server ( who probably owns the place) was sweet although disbelieving that my five year old wanted pho on a 90 degree day! Ok. Pho with beef and tendon- I've never eaten tendon before but it was awesome- chewy, fatty and satisfying. Definitely recommend. The broth is saltier than some other places, but not too much. Not underseasoned The folks behind us in the dining room were RAVING about the house chop suey. The restaurant is clean, bathrooms are fine, and the location isn't great, but two adults could get in and out for about 25$ and I'm cool with that. Thanks for putting your best foot forward, Saigon Panda:-)

The staff is so friendly and attentive! Our food was good! Bestie says the crab Rangoon is the best In the city. My generals chicken was good, but not spicy at all.

Meh. Gives you the runs, cleans you out for days... Didn't appear well kept, or clean. I worry about sanitation. The coffee was terrible, the food was nothing much in the way of flavor, and the experience was not unique, exciting, enriching, or anything you can't get at a dirty food truck. Best not to chance your health and eat somewhere else.

We knew what we wanted (menu online) & she went back to the kitchen to prepare it. We literally ordered a bowl of "soup" so it's not rocket science to need any help with that. We came in at 2:45 so we had the whole place to ourselves, we were out by 3:15. It only took maybe 3 min to get our food. And for 2 people it cost like $25. So to me, that's better than any ol' burger joint you can hit up. Plus, we have a whole other meal's worth of leftovers. 100% would go back anytime. Was it the cleanest place? Maybe not - but neither is my granny's kitchen - so take what you want outta that. It was homey.

I have been eating here, well ordering to go for some years now. Today is my first time actually…read moresitting down in the restaurant. Now in the past when picking up it's usually just an older lady. She has never been super big on customer service and quite frankly pretty rude. I hate the stereotype that because it's a good Asian restaurant that service is usually not good but the food is good. Just because you know people will come back and eat, so you can treat them however. That's crazy to me... I have eaten at some amazing Asian establishments and have had both outstanding service and food. Anyway, so as I'm sitting here; there's about 6 people in here including me. Not a very big place. Kind of dark and pretty warm in here. Some stuff on the ceiling and Asian decor, grey walls. She comes to take my order and doesn't smile, I have been nothing but nice and smile at her and have manners etc.. But she asked me what I wanted, I say #19 pho beef & tendon.. then she immediately wants to run away. I say wait hold on, I wanted to add some things. What do you want to add she says? I said can I add nuoc beo on the side? She said we don't have that, then I say extra onions and cilantro.. I can't even say anything else before she tries to run away again.. then I said I would like to add spring rolls, but veggie, and I'm thinking that's tofu.. either way she runs away.. I can't even order a drink. I also really wanted to add a side of sliced onions and see if they have any Chinese donuts.. but there's no asking because she is running. Then as she comes back out to bring something to someone else, I basically have to raise my voice to ask for a drink. She brings my Dr. Pepper and spring rolls and it's literally just veggies inside. No tofu. At this point I feel not scared but like she is not approachable at all, intimidating to say the least. Very uncomfortable feeling. I really want to ask for tofu, but I'm just going to leave it alone. I saw a commercial with Vince Danh, running for city council, and I'm so confused how he is on this commercial speaking about this restaurant like it's just the best and meanwhile everyone knows the service is ridiculous. So she brings my food and everything looks good. I had to ask for a side of onions and chopsticks and chili oil. She seemed annoyed I had to ask. She brought them and I started eating. Everything was good. Now I don't want to go as far as saying racist, but I did notice how she was towards other people in here who weren't my color. I'm a lot of things but I definitely have darker skin than anyone in here. I have noticed some peoples experience may be the same who have non white skin. Anyway, I won't be coming back to sit and eat. I mean over the phone she's rude too and just wants to rush. I might order to pick up in the future, but this experience has turned me off completely. And I love Pho so much. I will just eat at Pho Thai.. I understand people have had hard lives and I have sympathy for them, but also regardless of the life you lived, you have to treat everyone with kindness. A smile goes a long way...normally....but maybe just not here.

Been coming here for a decade, and there has been no change in flavor or quality. The wonton soup is a MUST. Duck with mushrooms has a lovely browned savory flavor. It's been at least a year since we've tried the food here. I suppose the last time wasn't the worst Chinese food we've had but they were starting to go down hill and became pretty inconsistent with Chinese food to plain old slop. Tonight was the last straw! I won't even go into the details with the obvious day old egg roles and fried wantons. But the rice and main dishes reminded me of something from a prison movie where they slapped wet brown cold running by crap on a Platte. Of coarse we ordered carry out, the worst part is you get it home, hungry and it's disgusting! Don't waist your time, hard earned money on this place. There has to be a decent Chinese restaurant somewhere?! Take care and stay hungry my friends!

One of the problems with being fortunate enough to travel to many places around the world is that…read moreeventually you become spoiled. You begin to recognize what authentic and distinctive flavors are actually supposed to taste like. And unfortunately, you also become very aware when something simply doesn't quite hit the mark. Pho Thai is quite popular in Sioux Falls and now has several locations around the city, so naturally my husband and I wanted to give it a try. Sioux Falls is still developing its international food scene compared to places like Phoenix, where we previously lived, so we are always hopeful when we hear good things about a local spot. The experience overall was unfortunately pretty underwhelming. The food wasn't terrible, but most of it felt very middle-of-the-road and lacked the distinctive flavor profiles that make Thai and Vietnamese cuisine so memorable. We tried a variety of dishes along with appetizers like the pot stickers, which were perfectly edible, but fairly generic overall. Some of the food throughout the meal seemed either slightly underdone or overdone, which made the kitchen execution feel inconsistent. The noodles themselves were fine, but again, nothing really stood out. That's honestly the recurring issue we had with most of the meal: nothing was actively offensive, but almost nothing made us excited either. It felt less like carefully crafted regional cuisine and more like food designed to play things very safely. I think if you have limited exposure to Thai or Vietnamese food, especially in smaller Midwestern cities, you may enjoy this place much more than we did. For Sioux Falls, it is probably considered one of the better available options. But for us, after experiencing truly wonderful versions of these cuisines in larger cities and abroad, this just didn't compare. Still searching for that authentic spark over here. Nonetheless, the restaurant was clean, busy, and satisfactory enough for a casual meal. Just not somewhere we'd personally rank very highly.
