They even stop at waterside bars, restaurants and convenience stores for you to get out, stretch your legs and reload on those beverages if you didn't bring enough. You will definitely get wet during the fast turns, no matter where you sit. Heading out of the harbor and back in you also have a beautiful view of the coastline and the bay. You buy tickets onsite, at a booth right behind where the boat is anchored. Ride times are posted there, and I think the frequency of ride times depends on how busy it is at the boardwalk, it's not running continuously. I was on the water around 20 minutes. The only thing I would recommend against is buying the rain poncho they offer. Since the ride is so fast, the ponchos of the guests in front of me were just blowing behind them only attached to their necks, and they got as wet as if they hadn't worn anything. I chose to wear a heavier zip up rain jacket which kept me somewhat drier, but my pants were still drenched and water even spilled down from my neck, so be prepared. Best on a hot day but lots of fun even on a cold spring day. Must try at least once.

My husband and I walk her to her class , once she walks in a teacher dancing with the other children in the back walks to the front and greats my daughter. She quickly took her back back off and joined the rest of the kids!!!!! She didn't even say goodbye to us!! Rember, she's my Velcro baby, this is unusual of her.

We are married now! When I was younger, I had a dream of asking my wife to marry me after a treasure hunt at the Kemah Boardwalk. I would let her know that she was the treasure the whole time. Well after finding out I could not get some one to help coordinate the water fountains, I needed to think of a special way to propose. As a result, I came across the guys at Sail Ventures and they helped me plan the last part of the treasure hunt. The last card had GSP coordinates and mentioned find docks. There, we were asked if we were looking for something, and the captain said he could take us there. So we followed him on to the ship and he took us to the the middle of the bay during the sunset. That is where she pulled a bottle from out of the water with a message in it. The letter inside told her the treasure was by my side the whole time! I got on my knees...and She said yes! Our recent sailing adventure with Captain Evan Macaluso certainly exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived at the dock, finding our boat in bristol condition to the moment of departure ( in pursuit of his recommended favorite local eatery), this pirate anticipated our every need. Entertaining eight women, nineteen to sixty five, was no challenge for this old salt . His knowledge of local waters, charming personality and solid seamanship made Captain Jack Sparrow come to life in Galveston Bay. Providing no ordinary, "Driving Miss Daisy" cruise, Captain Evan was determined to teach, and teach he did!. My husband and I were on vacation and decided to take a sailing lesson and a boat cruise with Sail Ventures. We let Evan know ahead of time that we were from out of town but we were excited to learn a little something about sailing. He took his time and let us try everything he taught us! He even kept us out on the water longer than we'd paid for just so we could watch the sunset and take a closer look at a huge oil tanker. It was one of the most amazing things we've done in Kemah and Evan was a great teacher and an all around great guy! We would totally recommend it for anyone in the area or in from out of town! Went for a 3 hour cruise in the bay. It was my first time to sail and I loved it! Capt. Evan made the experience so informative and answered all my questions. While there are nice picnic tables, there are no designated secure areas to leave your belongings while in the water, so it's best to keep all valuables in your vehicle. I've had my 2nd boat at this Marina off and on for about 4 years. They are by far the nicest…read morepeople to work with and very down to earth! Talk to Cindy in the marina office if you need a slip---and the sling slips are covered and reasonably priced, I keep a 38' Cigarette on a sling here. I have had others boats at other Marina's and have had issues---but I can say ha t any issue or problem at Clear Lake Marina was handled promptly and to my satisfaction. They have been easy to work with on slip rent payments and have watched my boat like a hawk! They keep my advised with any ongoing slip maintenance and always offered me a different slip of mine was going to be worked on or if other issues come up. Sling lift Slips are hard to come by and I'm glad they have them available to us! Give them a try!
