My husband & I attended the class that included a menu of: Grilled lemon herb shrimp, smoky grilled…read moreeggplant parm, crispy prosciutto & melon salad & roasted cherry buttermilk ice cream. The class was well organized and the chef, kitchen staff and volunteers were helpful and attentive. A very nice way to spend time meeting new people while having fun with your friends, family or solo. Unfortunately for us, the old adage "too many cooks in the kitchen" applies here. When class started we were told there would be plenty of food, but we definitely left hungry & a tad disappointed in what was served. We made a lot of shrimp, yet each person got 3. Our table was curious where they all went. The melon on the salad was not ripe, making it unpleasant to eat. The main entree, eggplant parm, was completely inedible by everyone. Apparently, the eggplant had been salted before the students arrived and then salted again during class. So no one had any main entree. The finale was a scoop of ice cream. This made us feel as though we got very little value considering the cost for the class as we certainly could have enjoyed a meal at a sit down restaurant for less & left full. Don't get me wrong, there is value in expertise and instruction, but not $200 worth. However, at the end of the day, it was a good time and we would like to try another class in the future.

THEY WERE ALL OVER THAT CUSTOMER SERVICE TODAY BABY!…read more I must have wandered into the store while they were conducting customer service drills because they were all "at attention". I wanted to say "As you were" but decided to just let it be. Who complains about great customer service? No one! Several employees offered assistance and one gentleman was nice enough to get a basket to hold my wares. Love it!! So when I entered, I was hoping that they had the World Market selection, (like Perimeter) because I needed a snack. Unfortunately, they did not. They are a smaller store but probably have everything you need to make your bedroom and bathroom comfortable and cozy. Also they have great accessories and gadgets for the kitchen and other areas of the home as well. I loved the bedding that they had displayed because it was cotton and it felt really nice. I believe in 100% cotton bedding because I find it to be very durable and very cozy. When it comes to their bedding, you really have to watch for queen sizing because it is really not true queen size, it is designated as full/queen which means it falls short. This is something that I noticed a couple of years ago when I was looking for bedding but it may no longer be an issue. Just make sure that you check carefully. If you need to get organized, BBB can help you out. They have great drawer inserts to help separate your smaller items. I purchased a great boot rack which holds six pairs of boots in perfect position so that they hold their form and there is no drooping. As you get closer to Christmas, they have a great selection of "white elephant" gifts and small items that are perfect for stuffing stockings. I have been looking to update my bathroom curtains for a while and just had a difficult time nailing the color and length. Imagine my surprise when I actually saw the perfect color, on CLEARANCE and in the size that I needed. I kept twisting my head to see if I was reading the price incorrectly because the regular price was $37.99 while the current price was listed as $4.99. Yes, I took a photo. So I purchased $76 worth of curtains for $10. SCORE!!! Today was a good day! *** This is an update regarding the curtains I recently purchased for my bathroom. I love them! The color is spot on and they are a very heavy "drapery like" weight so they hand well. They also do a great job of blocking light. This is the second time that I have purchased curtains here and I have been pleased each time because they are of a very nice quality. I once purchased my drapes/window treatments at JC Penney but they have changed their signature collection so I needed to find another option. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Every employee has a positive and can do attitude. In December, we shopped nearby for a Breville toaster oven and we stopped at BBB and they found the model we were interested in and arranged Home delivery which took only two days! Today my wife went to BBB to purchase the Pro Glass 10 piece storage containers which was being discounted and due to their great close-out price were sold out. Not to worry, Bruce ordered 10 piece set for Home delivery! Not too many employees go the extra mile but BBB employees do! Thanks to you all

North Georgia Premium Outlets in Dawsonville, GA (706) 216-5211 (this is the outlet location) I prefer this store because of the sales associate's down to Earth approach to their merchandise. Not everyone (myself included) is knowledgeable about most of the items that W-S sells. I do think most people need some education before they will plop $350 on a German made sauce pan no matter how gorgeous it might look. This is where I think this particular store in The Avenue gets it right. They educate the consumer first and then let you decide. For example do you know why a person would use a stainless steel sauce pan as opposed to a non-stick? I didn't when I came here. I just thought it was a personal preference...apparently it's more than that...its about what you're cooking...but that's what's great about this store is that the folks here will explain all of this stuff to you without any pretentious snobbiness or judgement. In fact many years ago I bought my first big girl chef's knife here after I spent 20 minutes with a very nice sales person. (I previously had been using a $8 knife that I thought I bought from a street vendor.) I still use it everyday and it still cut like I bought it just the other day...so that old saying you get what you pay for is true in this case. You really do get what you pay for here at Williams-Sonoma.

It was an all-day course, but the time seemed to just fly by because everyone was having a good time. There was a comfortable mix of skill levels among the students - from guys who had been 'queing for years to first timers who have never even lit a smoker. There was even one guy taking the class for the second time as an "honored alum" because he just enjoyed himself so much the first time around. Everyone came out of the class confident about their ability to make some BBQ. Everything was hands on. I was very happy that a lot of the material had to do with the science and lore of cooking. These are guys who have spent decades perfecting their craft - they've done all the experimenting, research, and failing required to get to the professional level in the BBQ world. They even recently took grand master at a pro tournament competing against the famous BBQ Pitmaster Myron Mixon. Everyone comes home with a really nice bound book with everything we learned in class and more. We also got to keep our 'Que University aprons, which are actually really nice. They also feed us the food we made, which was amazing. The bloody mary bar was a nice initial pick me up with breakfast. And despite the fact that the venue had a bar with $2 craft beers, people seemed to be more interested in the class than they were in tossing back too many, which is really a testament to the instructors and material (engaging and well paced). I'm the kind of guy who likes to teach himself how to do things, but I'll have to admit there's just no substitute for this class. Having pros stand over your shoulder/hold your hand through the hands on stuff is invaluable. And there are little gold nuggets of wisdom dispersed throughout the instruction that you can just tell these guys fought hard to acquire for themselves.

Went today and thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a lot!! I've been smoking meats for years but it…read morewas hit and miss technique.
