I came to St Anne's in an ambulance I went from the ER to the ICU and after they stabilized me went to hospital room Everyone and I mean everyone has been caring and considerate as well as accommodating to all of my needs. I'm not going to lie I was scared when I came in and the warmth and sincere caring of all the nurses and aids and support team members made me feel cared for and safe Thank you to all of the doctors and nurses(to many to name) in the er icu and 3rd floor for taking such good care of me special shout out to the phlebotomists who get no love but have a critical Job to do!! By no means would I recommend this horror show of a hospital. It is filthy and it lacks any kind of modern hospital standards. The doctors and nurses are devoid from any kind of professional courtesy and knowledge of the medical field! The emergency room is a disaster zone with untrained and assertive security guards.. Case in point, I was detained and false imprisoned by the security staff and 1 nurse after being discharged.. The security guard said I wasn't allowed to leave and he became rather aggressive grabbing my arms and blocking my exit out of the emergency room. An extreme violation of my civil rights.. I was only there for a cat scan.. Saint Anne's is going to be sued!! read more

I have been to their ER 4 times. Every time I have been cared for in a Kind, Quick, and Efficient yet Effective matter. Everything was clean, people and staff were respectful, and they tell you information in a way that was easy to understand. I 10/10 recommend this hospital. read more

Overworked and overwhelmed staff. Forgot to put med orders and IV in. Didn't see a nurse for two hours after being admitted to the ER. Took blood... then asked to take blood 10 minutes later. Staff just repeatedly ignored distraught woman who was in crisis in the hallway bed next to us. Facilities in shambles. We were left after treatment for over two hours awaiting discharge, no one responded to inquiries about what was going on. Zero communication from staff except for when they complained loudly and repeatedly about patients, families, or just having to work here or stay working here. We just finally left without anyone saying a thing. We let them know, but no one stopped or asked us anything. Got a call an hour later from the ER... to ask where we put the IV (nothing about wellness or whether we were okay). CT scan lady was nice, but otherwise would not recommend. I went to Saint Anne's ED on around 4am on 9/2 with severe pain in my back and abdomen. Didn't know it at the time but it was due to a gallbladder attack. Registration was quick - triage nurses were extremely kind, but the wait was long to see someone once I was brought back to a bed, and until I saw a doctor,, I wasn't allowed to drink anything or have any pain meds but they did give me an IV for fluids since I hadn't been able to eat or drink for two days due to the pain. ER staff was wonderful however! It's just the wait time was unfortunate but not necessarily their fault. It took around 3 hours to see an ER doctor and he told me he came on shift an hour early to try to help me. He was amazing - very kind and patient with me, did his best to make me comfortable, gave me pain meds but the meds were just not helping. They called in a surgeon from the hospital, who was just as phenomenal. They admitted me & although at the time, the wait seemed forever just because of how I felt, they got me into surgery to remove my gallbladder very quickly. I felt amazing afterwards. Hospital staff was kind, attentive, and listened to me. Everything was explained to me efficiently and I felt heard for the first time in a hospital. There was only one CNA, overnight, who was not helpful. My IV box started beeping loudly so I pressed the call button - she completely ignored it for around 35 min. When she came in, I asked if she could fix the machine so I could sleep, I was exhausted. She said she needed to get the nurse which was fine. Another 45 minutes go by and I had to call again. The nurse who came in then said it was during shift change and she was never notified that I needed her. That was the ONLY negative experience I had. Not sure how else to properly thank everyone who was involved in my care but I want to say thank you to every from from nurses and CNAs to the phlebotomists, the anesthesiologist who was so sweet to me, nuclear medicine who did my Hida scan, and of course the surgeon himself. He was quick, effective, made it a point to explain things to me in a way that made sense to me and did his best to make sure I was okay. For the nurses themselves, a special thank you to Elise, Caitlin, Sarah Beth and Cubby. Also the CNA Kaylee. I can't thank you all enough for how kindly you treated me and how quickly you got me home to my family. I was scared and in pain and you all treated me how I'd want any of my loved ones to be treated in a hospital. Long story short, wait times in the ER seemed long, but the care was wonderful and I left feeling a hundred times better than I did when I arrived. read more

Cannot say enough about the amazing people of the ICU! A family member was transferred for emergency surgery and the entire team- ENTIRE team treated us like family. The situation was dire and the intense compassion the staff had for my family and I was truly incredible. They were communicative, patient and very comforting. Exactly what my family and I needed to make it through such a difficult few hours. Dr. Sadip Pant and team performed a very tricky Thrombectomy and is the reason my family member is alive today. They are miracle workers! read more

This place ruined my life. I was humiliated, scared, and made fun of me by staff. There was no trauma informed care, and nobody checked in to ask me about how I was doing. I was left with ptsd, depression, anxiety, and alcohol and nicotine addiction because of this place, and was charged thousands of dollars for essentially being traumatized. Avoid this hospital at all costs, Charleston memorial or Butler hospital are way better options for literally anything. Luckily, I was able to quit drinking and other substances because of the amazing people at Butler Hospital. What St Anne's should do is look at how other mental health hospitals and see how they do things, instead of treat people like garbage and change nothing. If you reach out to St Anne's patient advocate, all they will do is give you bad excuses for their short comings, and try and convince you the trauma you went through is the norm. It' is not normal how I was treated there, and now they won't even respond to my emails or calls. I guarantee they won't even respond to this review. Beware to all seeking mental health treatment, St Anne's will make it their mission in life to make sure you leave traumatized and scarred, with no hope for the future. Unfortunately for you St Anne's hospital, you tried to ruin my life and you failed. Your actions almost made me drink myself to death, and I overcame your abuse and prevailed. I dream of a future where all mentally ill people can receive care without being stripped naked, thrown in a prison cell, and neglected for hours or days without receiving any type of help. If a patient has to lie about their condition to be released and avoid future medical imprisonment and trauma, then you as a hospital have failed in every way. My only hope is that every nurse, doctor, security guard, and employee that works here are all fired and black listed from ever working in the medical field ever again. I was admitted to Saint Mary's. Anyone who has been to Saint Mary's knows that is the worst floor to be admitted to. Your lucky if you get a face cloth to wash yourself & a toothbrush. They just throw you in a room & they'll get to you when they get to you. Then you have some idiotic Dr. who does not know you! Or bother to read your chart! And decides he's going to stop your medications that were prescribed to you by a Dr. who did take the time to get to know you & your health problems! And prescribed what works. And undo all that Dr's work. And make you feel worse than you did when you went in! Not I know to refuse to be admitted to Saint Mary's or the Pavilion floor which is also on the 3rd floor. read more

'You're a bad patient' and 'Not today, not ever' were utterances by Dr.Katz today when he sent my 65 year old mother home after canceling her painfully necessary knee replacement. His reasoning, contrary to medical studies, the products own instructions for use, a multitude of other providers, and my own personal, anecdotal interactions with the same procedure, was that the clear presurgery drink my mother ingested at 7am posed an imminent risk to the procedure she arrived for at 8:30am. Her surgery had previously been canceled when she tested positive for nicotine; despite not having been made aware that was even a possibility. To tell a patient with a long history of depression and mental illness that they're 'bad', 'this is all on you, not me' and the dismissive, condescension, in combination with the lack of proper or adequate pre-op instruction from 'support' staff is repugnant. She came back to my home, where we'd planned her recovery, and curled up in bed for 7 hours. read more

My mom was brought to the emergency room with a broken arm and I have never been more pleased with a hospital. Everyone was so attentive and always was there when somebody needed something. Unlike most hospitals, it seemed like all of the nurses were kept busy and weren't standing around doing nothing which is always an eye catcher for me. The smart thing about. Is hospital was that they shit down some departments during the night which is smart because they aren't wasting resources, time, and money. I don't live in Fall River but I am glad that my mom was brought to this hospital. The orthopedic nurses and doctors were amazing and always made sure my mom was comfortable with her level of pain. The ER nurses were also especially nice and always were so caring and making sure everything was done correctly. This hospital was outstanding compared to many I have been to. read more

I went to the ER two days in a row. Which makes the first time I was there a bad experience compared to the second time. I was feeling really sick I had a sore throat for 3 days and the pain was almost unbearable. So I drive myself to the ER around 1 am. The wait time wasn't a big deal. The staff was friendly and they took my vital signs and a sample of my throat. After several minutes I was getting impatient but because I was in pain like I told the nurse when I got there you know they ask you from 1 to 10 what number is your pain. Well I said 10. Finally the doctor came in, and she spent no even five minutes checking me and she said well you probably have an infection but is not strep throat because my other vital signs where fine. Which ok she is the doctor. She prescribed me medicine to reduce my cough which ok I'm sure I needed but nothing for pain when I already told her I tried everything over the counter and nothing helped. Well after that I left. I couldn't sleep because the pain was strong so in the morning I took what she prescribed me and it didn't help at all. I spend the whole day miserable and at some point I was getting desperated I felt like I was getting worse. I tried to suck it up but by 3 am I had enough my throat was so sore and swollen that I couldn't even drink water, my ears hurt and I lost my voice almost completely. I jumped in the car went to the ER and in tears I told them I needed attention, the checked me in and a different doctor came he told me they were going to do a cascan to see what was wrong, he ordered an IV and pain medicine so I was there couple hours. After the whole deal finally I got prescribed what I needed that was antibiotics, regardless of the pain medicine that's what I needed. Why I'm angry is because I wasn't giving the attention the first time. I won't say the name of the doctor, but very unprofessional and is obvious that she didn't give a crap I was in pain. I just want to say thank you to Dr. David Ignatius and the staff this morning they were awesome. read more

Had an eye injury on a Sunday night. Went to the ER with four people in front of me. The nurses did a wonderful job getting everyone back. They were kind, compassionate and caring as well as the NP that saw me. They got be numbing drops, figured out what was wrong and I was out in an hour!!!! This is the second time we have gone. The first was two years ago with my son, then 6 months old. They were wonderful then and continues to impress today!!!! read more

My father was brought in by ambulance to the emergency room to receive steroids infusions. While in the emergency room the doctor took a chest X-ray and blood work . The X-ray showed bilateral pneumonia and the doctor saw the X-ray and gave my father antibiotics and also gave his 1gm of solomedrol daily . Instead of putting solumedrol on hold per request of family the doctor refuse . My father ended up getting worst . I went to visit my dad , on that day he was upset the Pt and doctor refuse to let his walk making him bed bound. That evening Dr. Singh from St Anne called saying she was going to put my dad on a breathing machine with a tube down his throat. I said no and told dr Singh to transfer my dad to Charlton memorial hospital to get the right care he needed . They should have never gave the steroids on top of his pneumonia. Dr. Singh refuse to sent my dad to Charlton Memorial Hospital saying they had no bed aviators in ICU. I told her that was a lie and told her that she was going to held responsible if anything should happen to my dad . She was going against the Health Proxy request of a transfer. I work in the health field for 15+ years . I told her on the phone there no way there not one bed open when patients come in all the time in serious conditions due to accidents and have to go to ICU. Dr Singh hung up the phone with me. After 10 minutes Dr. Singh called me saying she called Charlton memorial hospital and pulled some string and got my dad a bed at ICU. My dad passed away 2 days later due to receiving the solumedrol steroids while having the bilateral pneumonia. St annes failed in the care of my dad and the request of the health proxy went out the door at st Annes. Definitely do not recommend this hospital to anyone. If you want your family members to live please send to another hospital for care. St annes also refuse to give my mother the next of kin to my dad the medical records of my dad from this visit. read more

Checked in to the ER to rule out a ruptured eardrum for my son after a long day of travel. Three hours, two waiting room bar brawls and one disinterested triage nurse later we are awarded a cot in a hallway and have yet to receive even a cursory medical evaluation or update on the delay or expected wait. Four hours deep into our quest for a doctor's eye on an eardrum and still nowhere close. We will forever be Charlton patients if we are ever unfortunate enough to need medical care in Fall River again! read more

I utterly despise this hospital. If I were on the verge of death I'd rather a homeless man try to fix me then any of the "doctors" at this place.. I'd have a greater chance of living. Every time I ever went to this hospital they could never figure out what was wrong with me. My last experience is when I went in with a sinus infection and my tonsils were horribly swollen, they checked my throat, took a throat culture and sent me back out in the waiting room (yes, the waiting room, because they obviously didn't feel as if I were sick enough to sit in their room and wait for my results). An hour later I had to send my bf to the desk to ask them if they have the results to my test. They said it came back negative and told me to go home. They had NO IDEA what was wrong with me yet they sent me home without doing blood work or giving me antibiotics for my sinus infection. Finally I went to a walk in clinic with REAL DOCTORS who actually took blood and told me I had a viral infection and prescribed my antibiotics for my sinus infection and a stronger Motrin to help reduce the swelling and discomfort. read more
