I believe that it is more of a nursing home than an assisted living facility as everyone seems to get a one to two or three ratio resident vs nurse. They took good care of him and when it came close to his end of life the family was summoned and they brought him to a private room as we surrounded his bed and said our goodbyes. We were all there to see him take his last breath. The staff took care of everything.

As far as housekeeping every time I am here someone is cleaning something. The place is immaculate. It's as beautiful as a hotel with an old country feel. I've been told by residents that reside here that the food is fantastic, and I would have to say they're right. If you come here around any mealtimes you will be greeted by tempting aromas. They're always doing something to keep they're residents engaged. There's always activities, outings, and people coming to perform. They even have someone bring baby goats. Every time I come here, the staff is always smiling & friendly, the place is clean, & my dad looks well cared for. Administration is very helpful as well & very prompt handling any concerns. My dad likes the food too, which is great! He barely ate at the last place because the food was terrible. The building is in the old side. Seems to be a bit of delay transitioning from heat to AC when the weather warms up, but I'm told this is common for most facilities. It's been maintained well, but the windows definitely need to be replaced. Besides that, my dad's only complaint so far is the room size, but he opted for the smaller room & it IS bigger that the room he had at the other place; larger ones are available. The have a lot of places for family to gather. They also have 2 kitchens the residents can use to cook/entertain, a small gym-like room, a chapel, snack area, 2 sunrooms, a salon, & lots of TVs if residents want to get out of their rooms. And other rooms that I know I'm forgetting. Very happy so far.

We had to complain about a lot of care issues and couldn't be happier when we managed to transfer him to a much more caring and attentive facility - he blossomed within days. They are a family operated facility and staff and administrators and nurses are also very knowledgeable and helpful with any issues you may have. It is the cleanest facility I have been to. Meals are excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to have a parent come and take a tour. They take several forms of payment including Social Security. They have med technicians that distribute your medications so you don't need to remember to take them. There have 24 rooms with 2 to a room usually. I am happy that they found me in a rehab facility after an extended hospital stay and they interviewed me and took me in.

It's clean, the staff is caring and the food is decent. I would put my mom here if she was still alive. The only drawback is it's not on a bus route but we have our own 14 passenger bus and we go out often to shop and have other trips. Logisticare is on site and they provide free transportation to doctor's appointments. It's a nice place to live.
