As I was there, I was alone, the sides were down on the bed, the nurse call light was still hanging on to the back of the bed. I was having another seizure and was getting ready to fall into the floor and because i didn't want to bust my face i had screamed out someone help me .The nurse that was originally assigned to me I don't remember her name she was blonde and pregnant. When i screamed out she came running and yelled back at me and said NO we are not doing this! She then told me to scoot myself back into the bed i told her i couldn't i was having a seizure and she proceeded to tell me, you can't respond when having a seizure, which is when i told her that it was PNES seizures and again she said well you wouldn't be responding and walked away and got the dr, he came in i was crying and still having PNES and she had told him i called her a bitch, which i had not done at that point and he ask me if i wanted another dr, i said to him it's what he thinks is best and he said well this is my nurse and that's when i said no, i want that bitch out. I have spoken to many people about this which is why it has taken me a month to write you, she should not be working in the medical field if she doesn't want to help a patient in need.

And here I still wait, been out of meds a month. Made my last call to them today to ask Dr. Hale to call me so I can explain why I have to change Doctors. Very unfortunate that patients are treated this way. It is like they expect US to do their jobs.

They take him back at 12:10. They're STILL under construction with no TV in the waiting room and now they've closed the cafeteria so you can't get anything while waiting. No place to get change to even get a soda or snack. And the chairs are extremely uncomfortable for a place you're stuck at all day.

The staff made her discharge before she was ready. Just stated that they were only there to stabilize her. They said they referred her to another outpatient facility closer to her home, but they didn't sent anything up. Told her to make an appointment. Her appointment was set for 6 weeks after discharge. During that time she has episodes almost everyday. She was unable to return to work. Basically they kicked her out and left her to deal with it on her own. She's been trying for 2 months to get her records sent to her primary care doctor and her new psychiatrist to no avail. Either they don't answer or say the person in records department is unavailable. I knew Highland was the last place that my daughter should have gone to but she insisted, now she understands why I didn't want her to go there. It's just as bad as it was in the 80's. Anyway, she has a right to have her medical records for continuation of care at the very least. I would appreciate it if those records would be made available to her. Otherwise might have to speak to a lawyer about Highland refusing to send them to her or letting her chosen proxy as named in her file to pick them up from the hospital in person.
