However, don't let that price tag deter you from checking out redE - seems they have clothes to fit every budget. Sifting through the racks, I came across many beautifully-cut pieces. The boutique carries clothing by some fabulous designers, including Theory, Black Halo, Hale Bob and my favorite dress designer, Alice + Olivia (see above reference to $600 dress). The sales associate was friendly and helpful, though left me to my own devices when I said I was just browsing (read: oohing and ahhing over everything!). Maybe, just maybe, I'll treat myself to that dress for my birthday ;)

All of the women there have been excellent- first rate. Sooo- I stop in today- as I usually do- and I noticed a woman I had never seen before. I noticed right off the bat that her energy was sharp toward me- and that's okay. I'm in sales- I understand that not everyone likes everyone. So- I see a sweater I like and decide to try it on. I hear her voice from behind the curtain-"I think you would be more suited to a "woman's cut " hmmmm. Now, understand none of this is solicited in any way. To which I follow with-"what does that mean?" And here's the best part- she says "you know - for women north of fifty". To which I swung the curtain open and asked - "what did you just say to me?" Because I needed to hear if hats what she actually said. Yes. She actually did say that. I don't think I need any follow up- because ,well- I guess being insulted just isn't my bag. I can go hang out on the west side if I need uneducated rude unsolicited advice. Thanks anyhow.

The associates working here at this location doesn't bother you or even speak. You just shop in peace until you ask for assistance. Decent selections of women clothing and accessories. Some items can be a little pricey but affordable. The clearance selections have some great deals. Sometimes the lines does get super long and there is quite a wait for you to purchase your items.

I deducted a star because of a few hiccups with shipped items. On one occasion, the wrong color jacket was sent. In the second instance, the address was keyed in incorrectly resulting in a one month delay. That said, Suzette F. (A manager) refunded the shipping cost and adjusted the item to allow for the current markdown which was 30% less. All in all, it is a great place to shop and is closer than the Aurora location.

Staff were so friendly and helpful; this is really what you want in a shopping experience. I fall at the bottom of their size range and because of my height sometimes have a hard time finding clothes that fit, but I found two beautiful coats (one a Tall!) and an amazing dress, and the total for these three items was less than $130, which is what a new coat might cost at Land's End (the brand of one of the coats I bought here)! I will definitely be back, and will check out the second shop in Rockford when I'm there for the Japanese Gardens. Helpful hint: my GPS told me I had arrived but I didn't see the sign and so circled the building needlessly: it's in the window!
