Check in was quick and easy. We were escorted to our site which was pretty unleveled. The pull through site was very close to your neighbor including the deluxe site. They do have a pool, hot tub and laundry but did not use any of them. The big con was no Wi-Fi. When you pay to stay at a KOA which was pricey you except it. The pro was it's close to the entrance to the park, restaurants and one hour Waterton, Canada and Two medicine/ East Glacier. Beautiful view!' read more

The only thing this RV park has going for it is it's Location. It is literally five minutes from the entrance to glacier national Park. The views from the campgrounds are spectacular. But the grounds are very uneven. Our sewer hookup was very close to our neighbors picnic area. The sewer Hook up was literally uphill from Black drain tank Making it extremely hard to drain the tanks. The store was well stocked. But a number of the washing machines were out of order. The other inconvenience was no Wi-Fi with no timeline on when it would be fixed if at all. Many modern campers depend on the Wi-Fi advertised to keep every day things going on. Overall very disappointing for a KOA Because you expect a certain kind of standard while paying the premium price for the name. We would be hard-pressed to stay here again. read more

Pros: View of mountains and close to St Mary entrance and visitor center. Cons: There are several issues that are explained away (such as no WiFi) because they are under new management. That is a poor excuse. New Businesses set up WiFi right away all the time. The full hook-up sites are so close together that the picnic table and fire ring are right next to the sewer line of the camper next to us. The hot tub button for the jets didn't work. There is an obnoxious weed that causes a rash in the grass at our site. When a business bases its price on what it offers and then doesn't have those offerings, there should be a price adjustment. This was one of the best KOA campgrounds I've ever stayed in. The location was great, just north of the main Saint Mary's Village area. The reception team was so good and efficient when you arrive to ask you about your reservation and then to point you do your campsite location. We stayed in one of the cabins over towards the south edge. It had two bunkbeds and a queen size mattress in it. It was very enjoyable and the mattress was pretty comfortable, a solid 7.5 out of 10 for mattress comfort. The room add a refrigerator that worked great, as well as a microwave that we did not need to use. The biggest highlight was that they deliver pizza to your location if you order it in advance and are ready and able to wait for 30 minutes. To have a Campground deliver pizza to your site was a real treat after a long day in glacier national Park. So we sat on the cabin porch swing and enjoyed our really well-made great quality pizza. After our pizza we took advantage of a very clean laundry facility and is super well-maintained showers area. The laundry room was clean and well-kept. And the bathrooms and showers were well-maintained and didn't have that traditional muddy floor that you sometime experience in other campsites. In the morning we were able to use their small market to be able to buy some postcards, Gatorade, and other items to take into the park with us. The special shout out goes to "Steve from Amarillo Texas" one of the 2023 season camp post. Super great at making you feel at home and welcomed to the campsite. He was fun, knowledgeable of the park happenings, and generous with this time to make sure each guest knew where to go, and what they needed. I'd give this campground a solid 10 out of 10. Sights are small. Our sewer connection was basically next to our neighbors picnic table. That made it kind of awkward to hook up and dump when we arrived. Plus sides: They have a good location in relation to the park. The lower area where the tent sights are is really nice, we walked down on the river. If you are in a tent of a small camper, the experience would be much better. Views of the mountains are nice from the upper sights. read more

I cannot give this a five just because the backdrop is fabulous and the workers are friendly. The grass needs to be mowed, the landscaping needs to be trimmed, and I would like them to invest some money back into the campground. Fix up the pool area, hire a landscape designer, add sites with entire cement porch areas, and lunch cafe/ diner would go over well. However, most locations on the east are dumps. This location has the potential to be over the top. Instead, it's overgrown. The West Glacier KOA is a 5! If you have ever stayed there, you know why. If you choose to stay on the east side. Stayed for three nights in an RV site and had an excellent experience. By far the nicest campground in the area and literally right around the corner from the Going to the Sun Road and park entrance. Camp store was well-stocked; amenities in the area are limited during the off-season so be prepared. Perfect base camp for Many Glacier, Two Medicine or East Glacier. Would recommend taking 89 then going out to Browning if going down to Two Medicine or East Glacier, and only driving the Looking Glass Highway (MT 49) northbound as you'll be on the inside of the mountain. Met several campers passing thru on their way to Alaska who said this is their go-to stop before the border. We drove our Super C in thru Babb from Browning on 464, then took 89 down to the campground. They're situated right against the mountains and the river. Very peaceful and clean and we'll definitely be back. read more

The 1 bedroom cabin was spacious with fast internet speed. The restrooms next to the cabins were not enough for all the guests. It was super super windy when we arrived. I would not stay here again. Extremely clean and friendly employees! I stayed in a camping cabin. Great option to stay near the park, but may not be the most convenient for visitors who are flying in from out-of-state (only due to having to pack sheets, towels, blankets, & pillows that aren't provided). My cabin was tidy and very clean, but for the same price (or less), I had stayed at the dorm halls inside the park and an AirBnB in Columbia Falls where linens were provided and restrooms/sinks/showers were more conveniently located. I could see where if you're camping (and already have those items packed) that this would be a great choice. Everything seemed safe and clean, plus there's a pool and hot tub on site. For my needs though (solo traveler flying from out-of-state), booking somewhere else even if a few miles farther out would've been better. read more

DO NOT GO IN THE POOL!!! My daughters and at least 10 other people just got chemical burns from to much bleach and chlorine. Not only that the owner Peter was extremely rude could care less that anyone was hurt. The picnic tables are all falling apart so you can't even sit on them without screws falling out, boards coming off or getting large splinters. It's hard to say something bad about anything near Glacier National Park because everything is so beautiful but this place has made it hard for my family to enjoy themselves. read more

I only gave it one star because the mountain range is gorgeous but DO NOT COME HERE! The owners called the sheriff and made our friends leave in the middle of the night because of a dispute over a cabin rental that was cancelled yet they would not refund the $$ you really don't want to stay here. We could not recommend this campground enough and can't wait to come back! We tent camped in L23 from June 18-21. Our site was perfect and we had no neighbors for the duration of the stay. It was super close to the creek and a short walk to bathrooms. The bathrooms were always clean, we never had to wait, and plenty of hot water. The BEST part of this campground was definitely the hot tub, especially this time of the year. While there was always people in it, it's big and everyone was friendly. We also loved the option to get ice cream and coffee until 10 PM! The location of this campground was also fantastic - close to the St. Mary's entrance, Many Glacier, and Two Medicine. There was no traffic going into the park, as opposed to West Glacier. read more

St. Mary/ East Glacier KOA was a great spot to camp right outside Glacier National Park. It was less than 5 minutes to drive from KOA to the park entrance. East Glacier is busy but nothing like the west entrance. So enjoy some of the isolation on the east. It is stunning and, in my opinion, has better hikes. The campground though had nice showers and clean bathrooms and the staff up front and on the phone are very helpful. Great gift shop too with all the stuff you forgot to pack. I would definitely stay here again and will be recommending it to anyone coming to Glacier. read more

I stayed here two nights in a basic cabin on my trip to Glaicer NP. Reading some of the reviews, I can see how some people may have issues with RV's. You are driving homes on wheels people, not every place will fit you. The cabin was exactly what I expected. A bunk bed and a full size bed, a microwave and a mini fridge. Perfect for my needs. The bathrooms were clean and the shower was hot. Check in was fair, but they are busy, this place is pretty big with lots of people coming and going. A small store and they have coffee and ice cream. They also do pizza delivery to your camp site. I didn't try that, but that's pretty awesome if it tastes good. They have spotty wifi, but are you here to be connected, or are you here to be in the great outdoors and experience the wonders of Glaicer? Verizon is the only cell service in the area, so unplug and enjoy nature. It was great to be out of touch for a couple of days. While the cabin was more expensive than some of the hotels I stayed in along the way, it's about location people and demand. I wish they offered the military discount to retirees as well and not just active duty. Great views of sunsets here and of the stars when the smoke from the fires cleared. This KOA totally met my needs is a truly isolated area of America. Funny side note, the only FM radio stations I picked up were from Canada. USA so needs to get on the metric system. read more

It's been awhile since I've been camping and it has changed. This place has Wifi (though not everywhere in the campground, but better than nothing), swimming pool and a hot tub. Omg. The hot tub is amazing after a ten mile hike. I don't mind the pricing because of water and electric at my campsite. Paid about $50/night for three people. I'm now thinking about other KOA and how they have the sane amenities. Oh yeah, did I mention the hot tub? :) read more

Very poor service. Called to cancel (I was not in my cancellation window, they didn't owe me my money back. Trans went out in my vehicle) and was told that if they sold the room they would refund my money. Friends up there told me that people were staying in my cabin and when I called they said it's not your cabin since you didn't show up (but I paid for that cabin in full) and proceeded to call me an idiot and say it's my problem. When told I could have been lying I said "if I show you the receipt for the trans then do I get my money back" NO! Point is poor customer service and bad business practices. I've stayed at 30+ KOAs in the past year alone. Never again. PS when I said I'd leave this review I was told I was a bully and that "they would leave a review on me too!" Babies. Next call is to the Better business bureau. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!! read more

I've stayed at 3 KOA's before and this by far is the nicest I've stayed at! The amenities were suburb. Bathrooms were clean and actually nicely decorated. The showers were very large and clean, with endless hot water! There were plenty of sinks, toilets, and showers that I never had to wait. Additionally there was a washing machine/dryer, a well kept pool & hot tub, a swing set, and Bochi ball. The KOA is also a 5 min walk to the lake and the office rents out paddle boards and kayaks by the hour. The main office had a helpful and energetic staff. At the office there was a great gift/souvenir shop as well as a mini mart with some grocery & staple items. The topping on the cake to the office was their ice cream bar which featured several flavors of ice cream and cookies, with the option to make your own custom ice cream sandwiches. There was also a coffee bar. Every night I was there they also had a BBQ and pizza delivery from 5:30-8. The KOA is conveniently located 30 min from Many Lakes which is where several amazing hikes start at. It is also a 10 min drive to the entrance of Glacier National Park & visitor center. Definitely get your bang for your buck at this place. Great location and amenities! Would recommend & go back. read more

Our family had such a great experience at the last KOA we stayed at, we rescheduled two stops on our 14 day trip to stay here. This KOA wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't stay here again. There are a few good things. The location to the St. Mary entrance of Glacier National Park was very convenient. The Many Glacier area is also nearby. The view was lovely, surrounded by mountains. Overall the park was mostly clean. We had some great experiences with a few employees. Casey was extremely helpful and Malachi was super friendly. The water was very fresh and had a good taste. Now, on to the not so good. The Wi-Fi was terrible. You're forced to login and accept the terms of service multiple times. It's a several step process and annoying after the first few times. Don't expect to be able to work here remotely unless you have an alternative plan. It's inconvenient when you can't look up the weather or navigation around the area. They advertise streaming quality wifi at the campground check-in but often we could hardly log in. There are very few trees. In the afternoon sun, your camper is cooking on the inside. When we arrived at our site, there were many cigarette butts on the ground and a sewer smell nearby. The amenities are just okay. For $130 a night for camping, I expect more of a resort experience. The hot tub was closed on the one cool day we had. Everything here and in town was quite expensive. Make sure you're fully stocked when you arrive or you'll be paying a premium on anything you buy. Gas in town was $1.00 a gallon more expensive than anywhere else. Finally, we discovered that many of our desired activities (raft riding, fly fishing) were located in West Glacier. It's a two hour drive one-way, so if you're expecting to partake in any activities in West Glacier, it'll be a long commute. Lastly, my husband had a very poor experience with the owner of the campground, which was surprising in such a service oriented business. There is pizza available for delivery in the evenings. The Wi-Fi was poor so we walked up to the desk and ordered two pizzas. We ordered a large 1/2 pepperoni & sausage, 1/2 Canadian bacon & pineapple. We also ordered a small 1/2 cheese, 1/2 pepperoni. The gal told us they don't do 1/2 orders so each topping would be full price. That was fine and we paid $45 for the two pizzas. When they arrived, the 1/2 Canadian bacon & pineapple was missing the pineapple and looked to have onions on it. My husband tasted a slice to confirm it was incorrect and went to the office to let them know the order was wrong. They asked for the incorrect half to be brought back, which he did. The girl at the desk offered to make a mini pizza, but that's hardly an appropriate replacement for half of a large 16" pizza. Then, a woman came out of the kitchen and shook an onion at him to insist there were no onions. He said, "okay but where is the pineapple?" She never answered and loudly insisted that she made the pizza correctly. By now, my husband was frustrated about the situation and used profanity. The cook told him that she was the owner and that language was unacceptable. She told him to get out or she was going to call the sheriff. He left to de-escalate the situation. They kept the 1/2 pizza we paid for and we were never refunded anything. There were several things that could have resolved the situation easily before becoming a problem. Maybe starting the conversation with "I'm sorry this isn't what you ordered, how can we resolve this?" would be better than aggressively insisting she made the pizza correctly. Perhaps the order was entered incorrectly? She could have given us some pineapple and we could have put it on the pizza ourselves. They could have refunded us 1/2 the cost of the large pizza. They could have made a small pizza to our correct order. It's such a silly thing but it left us with a poor impression of the campground. Threatening to call the sheriff for someone using profanity seems extreme. A better solution would have been, "I would appreciate if you didn't use profanity while we work to resolve this." The situation could have been so easily resolved and turned an okay experience into a poor one. read more

The good: Right around the corner from the National Park entrance, and the view is nice. The not so good: We were excited to book a premium site with a patio, stone fire pit, gas grill and furniture. We booked a nice 4 night stay so we could enjoy the park, grill out, and enjoy vacation. If we had checked in, and the front desk staff had said, "I'm so sorry, I know you booked a premium site, but we only have one of those sites and it's currently taken." Instead, we were charged the premium site rate and not told anything differently. We pulled into our site, which was NOT level, and did not have ANY of the amenities promised. We walked back up to registration, explained that we were expecting a premium site, were charged for a premium site, and had nothing of the kind. We decided to only stay tonight, and got a refund for the next days that we were looking forward to relaxing through. Instead, we plan to dry-camp at the National Park. It doesn't seem to be a terrible place to stay, but they seem very dishonest and disorganized. After our long drive here, we were incredibly disappointed. read more

I have never been to a KOA before last week. After my experience in Montana, I will never be back. I checked in about 6pm on 7/3. I did not anticipate a full-ish campground and was fine when all that was available was a group tent spot. I was told it was $40 for the night. I was shocked at the high price, but was reaching for my wallet when a lady at the end of the counter said very rudely, "Well, you don't have to stay here!" She was the only person not in a bright yellow polo, so I am assuming she is the manager and/or owner. She then went on to say that the price (double what the national park next door charges) includes amenities such as a heated pool and hot showers. Well, fast forward through the torrential downpour and lightning storm that ensued and I was at the office when they opened at 7am the next day. Those "amenities" I had paid for were unavailable. The pool was closed (over 3 hours before the posted sign said it would be) and when I attempted a shower (in an empty bathroom) at 5am, there was no hot water. It was barely lukewarm and being that I felt nearly frozen, it was not the great start to my day I had hoped for. I asked the desk attendant if I could speak with manager, but they wouldn't come downstairs. Instead the desk attendant relayed the message that "I should have tried another shower facility." I cannot make this up! I feel it completely unreasonable that I pay for a campsite I was in less than 12 hours that did not provide what was promised. Additionally, the lack of service and rude behavior should be addressed by corporate. read more

Seeing the meh reviews I was a bit nervous making the reservation. That wasn't helped by pulling up and seeing some of the RV sites some of which were pretty poor in my opinion (parked back to back on dirt with small yellowish lawn areas). However we loved it here for a few reasons: - Our tenting site was really good actually. Good for me is private and with trees. We had J11 and it was private, quiet and surrounded by trees. Some of the other tent sites were in the open and if you like that then more power to you. They have both. We liked ours a lot. - Showers were clean and new - The laundry room was super welcome after camping awhile...... The room is full of new machines and not terribly expensive. - The swimming pool / tub combo was nice. Kids enjoyed it. It was too cold outside for my taste but it could be snowing and kids would still want to swim. - Kids loved the play structure / playground - Nearby is a St Mary's grocery store which had a decent selection. - Nearby is an excellent place to eat (Johnson's Cafe) with really good homestyle food A few observations: - They don't change or accept Canadian currency which is a bit weak in my opinion given how close they are to the border. Would have appreciated that. - Man I never get RV sites, they are like parking lots sometimes and this place isn't too different. If you're like me ask for the tent sites on the J loop, they all looked decent. read more

The campground is clean and near enough to the park. Rv area has no tree's and is windy during the day. A lot of flies during the day (Sept). Tent area does have tree's for shade. Large area for dogs in front. Better yet drive down the road to St Mary river for your dog to retrieve /swim. read more

The views were fantastic and beautiful, not hard to catch in Glacier though. The service was the worst of it. I made my reservation over the phone and selected a spot that was available. When arriving to check in the spot I asked for was not was assigned and they had no way of answering why. The receptionists were rude to each other in front of customers and short uncompassionate answers to customers. They placed me to a large 40ft 5th wheel when there were 6 spots open around it. The two young women working did not know how to apply a refund/discount. The connection for wifi was dismal, and needed when you don't have and cell reception. For over 60$ for a spot with only water and electricity you think that amenities would be abundant and the staff would be exceptional. Would not stay here again. read more

Being here was certainly GLAMPING (glamorous camping)! After a long day of hiking it was great to come back to hot showers, swimming pool and hot tub under the stars! A bit pricey but you pay for the amenities. Something for every one - you can ask for a site closer to the pool and showers (and cleaning sink!) or you can get one closer to the river, further from the bustle. We had a great time. read more

Background info: My family consists of seven people in a 5th wheel grand design solitude (42 feet). We stayed here for 3 days visiting glacier national park. The goods: 1. The view was absolutely amazing. We had a spot in which it faced directly toward the mountains. So every morning we woke up to a beautiful mountain view. 2. The bathrooms and showers were the best we had ever stayed at. They constantly kept them clean and the showers stayed warm even throughout my 30 minute showers. 3. The fire there was great. My family and I made smores out there as well as grilled chicken and sautéed bell peppers. 4. All the hook ups were relatively close to us, meaning we didn't have to use any extenders with the sewage or electric. 5. It's very close to glacier national park. It only took us about 5 minutes to get to the visitor center and into the park. 6. They offer a place to do your laundry. For my family and I it wasn't needed but if you were staying there like a week or you didn't pack enough clean clothes this place has got you covered. The bad: 1. They were doing construction while we were there so at about 9 or 10 there was always a loud bang from a construction truck. It didn't affect me as I was up at the time but I would've gotten really annoyed if I was asleep during it. 2. Their wifi was absolutely terrible. That was honestly expected as most rv parks don't have good wifis and it's hard to even get wifi inexpensively that can support 100 or more people. But I was expecting something different due to the fact that they give you a code for all of your devices when you sign in to connect to the wifi. Overall I think it is a great place whether you're staying for 1 day or 1 week, especially if you're visiting Glacier National Park. read more

One star is generous. Staff has little to no customer service skills. Booked site months ago and when we saw it today,we were shocked. H 8 held a picnic table and had room for a picnic table and that's it. Moved to a group site- in the middle of a field. Overall a really negative experience with staff. They blamed the size of our vehicle and did very little to make the situation better. As there is nowhere else to camp in the area, we had no choice but to stay; however, I would never return or recommend this campsite to anybody. Another camper told us that his shower was cold, and he too had had to park sideways in the site to fit his tent on it - H7. What a joke and a sick one after eight hours in the car to get here. One of my best camping experiences till date! We stayed at one of the log cabins for a week. Ample amount of privacy - there is a considerable amount of separation among cabins. Very clean restrooms. The location is perfect - in the middle of nowhere! I could sit out and gaze at the clear mountain skies all night. Breathtakingly beautiful views. Very poor cellphone reception ( for AT&T ) - worked well for us as I didn't want to even remotely think about work that week. read more

I paid for a premium site with brick patio, but there was not a brick patio at my site. They only had one brick patio site. The site was far from level like the description stated. The showers were nice, as was the pool area, but the laundry prices are pricey. 25 cents per 4 minutes of dryer time, what a rip. Wifi was extremely poor, but the view was nice. I wouldn't have been so disappointed if it didn't cost me $232 for 2 nights. I stayed 7/4/17 & 7/5/17 and paid more to have a nice site for the fourth, so I thought. Just beware of this KOA, and if possible stay in West Glacier instead, more to see and do. read more
