Today being the third day she had some questions and being that I do this for a living i reached out to get some clarity and was immediately confronted with push back. said there was already one application in and if that didn't work out he would consider another. he was rude. he cut me off. in the best interest of the homeowner i would think you consider a couple applications and make decisions based on having that option. my mother received an application but it didn't seem Patrick the rel estate professional wanted to look at another one or present another one to the homeowner. sounds like lack of work ethic. i asked Patrick if we could talk on a human level for a moment and again he cut me off. very rude man. what i wanted to explain was that my parents have been staples in that community for 60 years. their home burned down to the ground just over a year ago in the little mountain fires. they have been living in Rancho and the demand for them to be present while the home is being rebuilt is growing and at my parents age they needed to be closer to their home while being built. they have lost everything and it is hard while my father still works and my mother tries her best to commute back and forth. the neighborhood of this property is safe as can be for the city, and they know people in that actual neighborhood which gives them comfort. credit is immaculate. income is perfect. financials are perfect. and this man didn't have the time or concern to hear me out. just cut me off. the homeowner deserve better representation of this property. the community deserves better service from a licensed professional.

After moving out, they withheld a large portion of our security deposit for items that were already damaged when we moved in, claiming extensive repairs instead of acknowledging normal wear and tear and long-deferred maintenance. To make matters worse, the remaining deposit was not returned on time, requiring formal follow-up. I'm now having to take legal action to recoup my money. Even before the security deposit dispute, they were consistently unresponsive and rude. Routine maintenance requests were often ignored, delayed, or met with excuses, and there was a clear pattern of deferring maintenance rather than addressing issues properly. Problems that existed early on were left unresolved for years. This has been a frustrating experience from start to finish. Poor communication, lack of accountability, and an apparent willingness to pass the cost of deferred maintenance on to tenants made this a company I would not rent from again. The pictures are of a garden box at the property that was completely falling apart. I asked for it to be fixed or removed, and my request was ignored.

There were many times I just wanted to give up, but Darlene never quit. She worked so hard to find new buyers after numerous buyers fell through. She gave me space when I felt stressed, but continued to work hard in the background. It came down to just a couple weeks before we would lose our new house (a new build, that required a buyer for our old house in order for us to qualify) and we lost our buyer. I felt defeated, I told Darlene if we lost the new house, I wanted to take a long break from buying/selling.
