This place has mediocre Japanese food, but it was enough to satisfy my cravings. Apparently they're known for their seafood items, but I will have to come back next time to try it. They're located in a great location with plenty of parking. Our waitress was super nice and helpful. Great service.

Go.... A hidden gem!!! An authentic Japanese restaurant in Hattiesburg ! The others are overpriced, dirty or just full of too many people. I have driven by this restaurant a thousand times .... FYI it's behind Chic filet... hidden in a strip mall. I was supper pleased with the selection of sashimi and blown away by the delicious chicken wings. Reasonable priced speciality drinks !

Today was my first time coming to Sake Cafe. We walked in and were seated immediately. The wait staff came to the table and let us know that they didn't have any sweet tea at the moment. Good thing... neither of us drink sweet tea. We were given the menus and ample time to order. The waitress came back and asked if we had any questions or needed a moment more. We ordered our appetizers which included the edamame, seaweed salad, wok fried calamari, and fried gyoza. The appetizers and the salad came out pretty quickly. Everything was perfectly seasoned, great Temps, right texture, and the taste was superb. As we were finishing up our appetizers, the waitress came out to bring on the heavy hitters! Main dishes... Steak and chicken hibachi, Southern Miss roll, Spider Web roll, and a recommendation from our waitress Lexie the Angela 2. Everything was amazing. I have never been so stuffed in all my life and still tried to eat more. I am absolutely miserable and I have left overs. Ha ha ha. Can't complain about that. The atmosphere was awesome. There was some soft upbeat music playing in the background. It was not too loud as to drown out my partner, but just loud enough to hear and having me bobbing my head and doing a little jig in between bites. The wait staff (Lexie) was hands down phenomenal! She helped us to navigate the menu and even recommended some stuff since we were newbies here. The prices were exceptional. The location is perfect. Did I already say the customer service was absolutely 100 percent hands down the best we have had in a long while. Not to mention we came in looking like some ranch hands. Ha ha ha. I will have to recommended this place to anyone with breath in their lungs. They have something for everyone. If you think they don't, stop by and have a beer or a glass of wine, I'm sure your just stuffy from your week. Enjoy!!!

One of my favorite places to get take out from! Today I decided to try something new, I ordered calamari as an appetizer and was so excited to get home to eat it. To my surprise $7.95 calamari is just for 7 pieces of calamari meaning you are paying a $1.13 per calamari piece if you order calamari from here. That is extremely expensive. Don't order the calamari!

I usually really like sake cafe and don't ever really leave reviews for places, but honestly my order today was pretty ridiculous. I ordered the salmon box which is $11, and got 8 of these rolls. For rolls from the SALMON BOX they literally have strips of salmon across them SO THIN it's translucent and don't even cover the whole tops of the rice. Ridiculous. Is this sushi? Or just sushi rice? It's literally just sushi rice. That was $11. I don't mind paying a good amount of money for good actual sushi, but I feel ripped off. Why be so stingy with the fish??????

I posted on Facebook saying the service was laughable. So the apparent manager decided to bash me for my opinion.

Food is good but my waitress was bad as communication and we had to send food back as they spilled sauce In which my Fiance did not want into her food. Also my friend did not receive a salad as asked for. On top of it all which got me was I posted on Facebook that the service of it was very bad and the apparent manager precedes to bash me on my own status. I posted pictures.

Gem of a brewery in Hattiesburg, MS! We were passing through on our way to Florida and decided to…read morecome here. We were pleasantly surprised to see a bike trail right in front of it (or behind) so that was a huge plus. They have plenty of seating both indoor and out. SO many games!! I love going to bars/breweries and playing games. They even had a whole wall full of board games, so I imagine this would be a great place to take your whole family. I had the best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had in my life here. For $5, my grilled cheese sandwich, paired with their fries was BOMB! I ordered a flight containing a few of their beers. They only had a few beers to choose from that were eligible for a flight. From the ones I tried, I liked them but didn't love them. Overall, I'd recommend this spot to anyone going to or passing through MS.

Finally you enter a playroom, dining room, taproom, entertainment room that only your coolest friend in school had at their house and you relax into the realization that you are exactly where you are supposed to be. Food: YES! Burgers, chili dog, pulled pork fries and fried cauliflower lettuce wraps all were very good. I'd only minus the crispy tortilla strips in favor of a flavor punch drizzle sauce. Dessert: YES! S'mores crepe and mixed berry crepe. They were an unexpected offering and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Beer: YES! Trappist ale was so good I swapped my cider with my husband for his. Good thing he's a good sport. All in all, this was an excellent place for us to stop on our way to Gulfport beach. Dei deaeque ridebant.

Loved the Rockefeller and Chargrilled but was not crazy about the Elote with the corn and and little spicy. Just a personal preference. We also ordered the Boogie Bombs that were so good with the pepper jelly. For entrees I ordered the Blackened Redfish which come which vegetables and grits. The sauce over the redfish was great! It complemented the Redfish. The only thing that I would improve on would be the grits. They were a little dry. My husband ordered the pepperoni pizza and Ashley recommended the pepper jelly with it. We had great service. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend this place.

The lighting is a bit dim for our old eyes but otherwise it has the feel of a pub. We loved that. Our server was very nice and helpful. We ordered the bacon cheddar fries. The fries are like a cottage fries that are then cut into strips. Perfect fry on them. The bacon could have been crispier but great flavor and a good ranch. I had the KPauls pasta. We all enjoyed it. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente. If you love a saucy pasta this isn't for you. It is nice and creamy but not swimming in it. Big plump shrimp that tasted great. Also has chunks of chicken breast and sliced sausage. Uncle Jim got the red beans and rice. Great flavor but barely warm. The catfish is a thicker cut and battered in a coarsely ground corn meal. Aunt Robin had the shrimp and grits. Those were the star of the show. So creamy and incredible flavor. Very generous amount of nice sized shrimp. Mike had the Keg Stand burger. He requested the sauce on the side. It's definitely a unique flavor. Nice soft bun. The meat was grossly over cooked but would have been tasty had it not been so dry. The onion rings that came with the burger were soggy. Overall, enjoyed it. We know what to get next time. Shrimp and grits and KPauls pasta!!

Our server, Cameron, was kind, patient, and attentive as we waited for our friend to arrive. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the menu, and offered great suggestions based on his personal favorites. We started with the crabmeat wontons, which I was expecting to favor traditional rangoons, but these were crispy gyozo dumplings, filled with a savory and smooth blend of crab and cream cheese, and served with sweet chili sauce. They didn't last long on the table :) Even my husband, who usually doesn't like seafood, dug in! Intrigued by the subtle twist on a classic, my husband chose the fried chicken and beignets. I was allowed a bite :) and it was hard to stop there! The flavor of both components was outstanding, and the crispy texture, perfect. I wasn't quite as hungry, so I asked if I could do a classic Caesar salad and add creole shrimp. When I say this was the best salad I've ever had, I'm not exaggerating! The flavor of the dressing was so simple yet rich, the croutons were light and tasted freshly-made, and the shrimp were deliciously savory, with a blackened flavor that exceeded my expectations. All in all, a great dining experience that we will share with others traveling through the area, and will repeat if we're ever back!
