    Hibachi Chicken
    Maria F.

My bff had lunch here today. Very welcoming attentive staff. Service was excellent! Very clean and comfortable atmosphere. We both had lunch menu plates. She opted for the Hibachi Chicken and I decided on the Sashimi lunch. They both came with soup and salad. Everything was delicious! We'll definitely be back. If you're on the Silas Dean and want a great meal, some great sushi and sashimi, check out Sake!! Can't wait to go back!

Some years ago I came here for my birthday and I must say that the quality has not diminished. When we got there they walked us in like we were the guests of honor seating us and and honoring our 8:30 reservation. We ordered shrimp tempura that is always a easy choice. The manager brought out some fantastic roll that hit the spot. The cook was funny and engaging the food did what it was supposed to do and filled us. Definite will come again.

The service at Sake in Wethersfield, CT is AMAZING!!! The owner is extremely attentive to everyone's needs and always surprises us with a complimentary roll or appetizer! Today's complementary dish was the temptation roll, sooo good! The food is also delicious. Everything is always fresh, super tasty, and seasoned very well. The ambiance is also awesome here! The restaurant is very clean and the staff is awesome. Nothing but good things to say about this place! 10/10 recommend going here!

I got the filet mignon and chicken hibachi with fried rice, noodles, vegetables and shrimp, plus the teriyaki steak appetizer. I also swapped the salad for a second clear soup because the soup is THAT good. The filet is unbelievable. Extremely tender, perfectly cooked, and easily some of the best steak I've had at a hibachi restaurant. The chicken and shrimp were excellent, the fried rice and noodles were fantastic, and even the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The teriyaki steak appetizer is also absolutely worth getting. I've genuinely yet to have a single thing here that wasn't excellent. Portions are huge, the presentation is great, and the service has been ridiculously fast. My first visit I had two soups, an appetizer, and my entire entrée and was paying the bill within about 30-40 minutes. It was basically the perfect sit-down lunch: much better food than grabbing fast food, without turning lunch into a two-hour event. The restaurant itself has a really nice, relaxed atmosphere, and they also have the traditional hibachi tables if you want the full tableside experience. Came back again only 10 days after my first visit and ordered the exact same meal. That probably says more than anything else I could write. Easy 5/5. This place deserves way more attention.

The location is always beautiful and clean. We felt a little rushed at dinner though, as our check came before we even finished or slowed down our eating and the server had already brought us boxes. Maybe their shift was ending or they wanted a break, but this meant as we kept eating we got no more water filled, too. Just something to keep in mind, even if just one person at the table is still eating.

I simply cannot imagine ordering anything other than their Curry Ramen bowl from this point forward. Like one would legitimately be insane not to get it, provided you are an average fan of standard Thai-style curries like Red, Panang, or even Las Vegas style Three-color (Red+Green+Yellow). My suggested mod: Ask for your home-crafted noodles a little extra "QQ" or chewy al dente. And ask for a side of their home-made chili oil to step up the Szechuan influence. Normally I shun the fusion or "new-style" menu items, but this Curry Ramen bowl is stuff of dreams. Perfectly executed, temperature hot, unforgettably umami, and the exact drinkable curry broth viscosity that is no accident. This bowl is a champion, folks!

For my first drink, I'm having an All Fashion made with Bulleit Bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, Allspice Dram and Orange Bitters. This is good! It has a unique taste. No garnish though. For my first item. I'm having a bowl of miso soup. This is actually a soybean broth. Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup made from a dashi broth mixed with miso paste, often including ingredients like tofu, seaweed (wakame), and scallions. This is good! It's nice and warm too! For my next item, I'm having a Green Garden Salad made with fresh iceberg lettuce, tomato and cucumber "drenched" in their "famous" ginger dressing. That is LOT of dressing! For an appetizer, we are having the Spicy Edamame. This is made with garlic butter, soy sauce and Japanese spice. Edamame is a popular Japanese appetizer of immature soybeans in the pod, typically boiled or steamed and served with salt. These are great! Some are really spicy! For another appetizer, we are getting the vegetable gyoza. Jiaozi (gyoza) are traditional Chinese dumplings made of minced meat or vegetables wrapped in a thin dough. Oh yeah! These are good! For my next drink, I'm having the Classic Manhattan. This is made with Woodford Reserve bourbon, sweet vermouth, Angostura bitters and brandied cherry. This tastes good but could use a garnish. For our sashimi, we are having the Sashimi Jalapeno made with jalapeno peppers over two pieces each of salmon, tuna and yellowtail finished with wasabi mayo. This is heaven! Wow! For our hand rolls, we are having a vegetable roll made with cucumber, avocado and asparagus; a peanut avocado roll; spicy tuna roll made with chopped tuna, spicy mayo and crunch; Philadelphia roll made with cream cheese, smoked salmon and cucumber. Boomer loves the smokey salmon! These are all great! For our Special Roll, we are having the Mummy Roll made with shrimp tempura with cucumber inside, topped with seared tuna, lobster salad, avocado, red tobiko with sweet and spicy citrus sauce. This is good! Love the shrimp tempura! For our hibachi entrees, we are having the Lobster and Steak, Lobster and Chicken and Vegetable. This is yummy! Wish! For our last drink, we are having a Lychee Martini made with Absolut Vodka, SoHo Lychee Liqueur, sake and lychee juice. These lychees ate huge! This tastes great! What a great meal here!

I want to be very clear about something: I understand that managing my food allergy is ultimately my responsibility. I carry EpiPens. I communicate my allergy. I take it seriously because I understand the potential consequences. Today, however, the manager blamed me because apparently their green cards are supposed to indicate that someone at the table has an allergy. There's a pretty significant problem with that explanation: we were never asked about allergies, nor were we told what the different colored cards mean. I don't work there. How am I supposed to know that green is their internal warning system if nobody explains it? More importantly, that explanation doesn't account for the previous incident. The last time this happened, we DID have the green card and DID explicitly tell our waitress about my scallop allergy. Scallops still ended up in our food. So this isn't one misunderstanding. Their allergy-safety process has now failed us on two separate occasions, including once when we followed the procedure management is now claiming should have prevented it. And I wasn't looking for a free meal, a discount, or compensation today. I wasn't asking for anything. I raised the issue because this has happened twice and food allergies can have serious consequences. Instead of acknowledging the concern, the manager was rude, dismissive, and blamed me. I accept responsibility for managing my allergy. That does not mean a restaurant has zero responsibility once an allergy has been communicated. If your establishment has an allergy procedure, your staff needs to explain it, implement it, and actually follow it. You cannot blame customers for failing to understand an internal color-coded system that nobody explained to them. And you certainly cannot use that system as an excuse when the allergy was previously mishandled even when that system was followed. After two separate incidents and today's response from management, if you have a serious food allergy, I cannot recommend eating here.
