I'm back! When it comes to Japanese food, this is a favorite of mine. It has a very "family" feel to it. For my first drink? I'm having a French Martini made with Grey Goose vodka, Chambord and a splash of pineapple juice. The main menu has not changed here in years. The prices have gone up a bit but only slightly, so it's good if you're on a budget too. This is good! They don't garnish here. They do use medium sized martini glasses (not the small ones). For my first item, I'm having the House Green Salad. This is made with iceberg lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes. I LOVE their ginger dressing! I like the soothing music here. This salad is awesome! For my next item, I'm having a miso soup. This is the lowest price I've ever seen ($2.50). It is a soybean soup made with tofu, scallions and seaweed. Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup made from a dashi stock mixed with miso paste, a fermented soybean paste, giving it a savory, umami flavor. Key ingredients often include tofu, seaweed (wakame), and scallions, but it can be customized with mushrooms, clams, or other additions. It's served hot, typically as part of a traditional Japanese meal, and should not be boiled after adding the miso to preserve its flavor and nutrients. I get the "big" bowl. This is hot and steamy. It is delicious! For my next item, I'm having the Seaweed Salad. Japanese seaweed salad (often called wakame salad) is a vibrant, refreshing, and umami-packed dish. It is made by rehydrating dried seaweed, tossing it with a vinaigrette made of sesame oil, soy sauce, and rice vinegar, and garnishing it with sesame seeds. I love this stiff although it sticks to your teeth sometimes. It is quite chilled. For my next item, I'm having edamame. These are a superfood. Boiled soybeans with salt! Edamame is a Japanese dish of young soybeans, typically boiled or steamed in the pod and served as a snack or appetizer, often with salt. It can also be prepared shelled (mukimame) and seasoned in various ways, such as with garlic, soy sauce, chili, or sesame oil, and served warm or cold in salads. The beans are known for being a protein-rich, healthy, and versatile ingredient. For my next drink, I am having a Strawberry Martini made with Svensk Wild Strawberry vodka, sweet vermouth and a splash of strawberry liqueur. Oh wow! This is good! Yes, you can taste the alcohol here! These edamame are good! No shortage of salt here either! For my next food item, I'm having the Tuna Tataki (extra spicy) made with thinly sliced seared tuna served with ponzu sauce. Tuna tataki is a Japanese culinary method where a block of sushi-grade tuna is briefly seared on all sides, leaving the interior raw. It is sliced thinly, served with a citrus-soy (ponzu) sauce, and often garnished with green onions, sesame seeds, and grated ginger. Wow! Extra spicy it is! I've never seen so many fresh jalapeños in one of these dishes! The sauce was REALLY spicy! This is great! For my next item, I'm having the Ikura (A La Carte menu). Ikura is the Japanese term for cured salmon roe (fish eggs). Prized for its vibrant orange color and signature "pop," the individual eggs are typically marinated in a soy sauce, sake, and mirin brine. It is most commonly served atop vinegared rice wrapped in a strip of nori seaweed (known as gunkan maki) or over a bowl of rice (ikura don). This is a taste of the ocean! Cucumber, no rice. It's a must when coming here! The wasabi is wicked strong! It was just made today! I love this! On my! Out comes something I've never seen before! What in the world is this! It looks like spicy tuna on Doritos!? This is great! OMG! ANOTHER bowl of miso soup has showed up! Yikes! They know I'm addicted to this! For my next drink, I am having g a Watermelon Martinj made with Bacardi Light Malibu Coconut, pineapple juice and a splash of mango schnapps. Oh yeah! This is good! Strong too! OMG! I think a Samurai Salad had showed up! So what is the Samurai Salad Recipe & Ingredients? The traditional Samurai Salad is a protein-rich, meal-sized dish. The Base: Mixed salad greens, green onions, and fresh tomato slices. The Protein: Firm slices of tofu brushed with oil and dressing, then grilled or pan-fried until golden brown. The Dressing: A zesty blend of soy sauce, white wine vinegar, grated fresh ginger, and hot pepper seasoning. Wow! This is the best salad I've EVER had! That's a great entree. It's " off menu" too do you need to ask for it. For dessert, I'm having the Fried Crispy Banana. Yeah, right. Let's see what REALLY comes out! OMG! This is IMPOSSIBLE to finish! Look at this monster! Oh no. What is that yellow drink? Don't ask me. I have no idea. It had a nice taste I can't identify. My sister is ordering the Chicken with lemongrass to go. This place is the bomb! read more

We arrived around 4:30 on Friday afternoon and were the only ones in the restaurant which was understandable at that odd hour. Restaurant was chilly, but very clean. I took pics of shiny exhaust vents to show how clean ...plus 2 points!! They turned the heat on for us and it was appreciated. I had filet & chicken abd my wife had filet and lobster tail. The lobster tasted fishy abd the chicken a little dry and crispy around the edges. Everything else was excellent! Gilet was tender, rice and noodles piping hot and very good abd shrimp amazing! Great service - from being seated, to soup & salad coming right out to chef following soon after. Waiter was friendly and did his job. While they only give you 2 shrimp, it's nice that's it's included. I like they include noodles too as other hibachi places charge extra. Overall a very good meal and reasonable prices. Their steak hibachi meal is still $19.95 great value and hasn't gone up in price for years. read more

Their lunch bento boxes are a great deal. The food is normally good but a lot of inconsistency. They plate differently and use different ingredients depending on cooks I believe. I've ordered the Fuji mountain on several different occasions and it all came out different. I feel like if I like a dish the first time, all other times I order it, it should be created the same and played the same. Sushi is good here. Hibachi is a novelty at the hibachi tables. Fun for kids only if the cook is entertaining. Some days they are great at entertaining and sometimes they miss the mark completely. Service is hit or miss. Ambiance is decent. Small bar area. We normally come here often. Always have. Today we called in an order of two hibachi dinners to go. They say okay 20 - 25 minutes. We show up a half hour later and our food is no where to be found. 4 other customers came and went with their food and we still just sat there waiting. I had thought about ordering an appetizer of a salmon roll, but I'm glad I didn't, because my entree, soup & salad was more than enough to eat. I've been to oki a few times, and overall I have always had a good experience with the food. They usually do a very good sushi roll and the staff is always plesant and helpful. Because of covid, some restaurants got hit harder than others. Oki is one of them, and they are managing but the distress shows. It's not dirty or mismanaged, you can tell that they are trying. As someone who has been to this location over the years, I can tell they are hanging on but just so. Despite this, they still put out a good product. Fish is fresh, rice is seasoned, rolls are plentiful. They are higher in price, and the location is not picturesque, but it's solid sushi for the area. read more

Another excellent meal at our go-to for sushi! The food here is so good. Hubby & I each ordered a spicy tuna roll (our fav) & I also got a Godzilla roll (spicy tuna, avocado). Hubby ordered General Tso's chicken dinner which includes soup & salad. Our waiter brought a bowl of soup for me as well a no charge. That way I wasn't sitting there drooling while watching the hubs eat. Less cleanup for them! Hehe This restaurant brings out freebies like this regularly. The General Tso's chicken has a thick sauce that is full of flavor, and the pieces of chicken remain crispy even when coated with the sauce. In all we had 2 bowls of soup, a bowl of salad, 2 regular sushi rolls along with a specialty roll, a full entree (with leftovers) & 2 sodas for less than $40. Okay this review's a tricky one for me. The whole vibe and ambiance of this place is meh. We came on a Friday night and it was quite empty. There were the groups of retirees and a small family with a crying child. Off the bat the crowd is not it for a Friday night. Next up was the cleanliness. The tables and menus were incredibly sticky and I just felt icky being there. The stools seems old and I just tried not to move while I was there. Being two people who didn't wanna cause a scene, we were trapped after they gave us our waters. We decided to give this place a shot and hope we don't get sick. We got the kani salad to start off and it was nothing special. I ordered the spicy shrimp and eel sushi as well as the summit roll while my boyfriend got the spicy girl roll and the philly roll. The sushi really surprised me.. I will say the type of rice and the amount that was used (A LOT) reminded me of store bought sushi.. so that was a disappointment. The taste however, was surprisingly decent. The shrimp and eel roll was SO soft that it basically melted in your mouth so I kinda liked that (could not really detect the eel) the summit roll was paced with spicy crab on top and I ended up taking most of that roll to go because it was pretty dense. Overall, sit-down experience was definitely a 0 for stars. If we didn't see and feel how sticky everything was, the food would've gotten a higher score but I have worries about cleanliness. If we were go to again, I would only do take out and not gamble with anything raw. read more

This overall experience was terrible. The food was served cold to us and some of it uncooked. The manager was rude and shoving food in our faces without saying excuse me before hand. We were constantly ignored when trying to get their attention and took 50 minutes after us done eating for them to even give us our check. The bar we were sitting at was dirty and glasses of drinks that were empty were left on the counter right infront of us. I'm going to write an update. We come here every Christmas Eve for hibachi and always have a nice time. The food is consistently good and not outrageously priced. We love the combination of sushi and hibachi and it's become our annual tradition. The one experience wasn't great, but Oki has absolutely redeemed itself over time. Our meal the sushi platter for two included a side of miso soup and salad with a dressing that was beyond flavorful! I loved it. Compliments to the chef he prepared a wonderful fresh assortment and display of sushi. The waiter was very helpful and so polite too. He consistently checked to make sure everything was to our liking and gave great recommendations. The overall scene had a great atmosphere. The restrooms and dining area were very clean and the bar was also nicely lit with cool lights. I was even able to view multiple flat screens from our table. Everything was Oki-dokie! I rated 4 stars and my boyfriend rated 5 for an average of 4.5. First off, the food was delicious. Our sushi platter included 10 pieces of sushi and 4 special rolls, plus soup or salad. It was presented beautifully! The sushi was delicious and fresh, and the chef's choices of sushi complemented each other pretty well. The white tuna was my favorite. The portions are also super healthy. Each special roll had at least 8-10 pieces. We ended up with a full take-out box full of leftovers! The atmosphere was pretty good. I really appreciate that there are separate areas for sushi and hibachi. We sat on the quiet side of the restaurant, but could clearly hear the people on the hibachi side having fun. It made me want to come back to try the hibachi! The only thing that lost a star was the inconsistent service. The waiter wasn't outwardly rude, but made us feel like he did not want to be there. We had a Groupon for a sushi meal for two, so we made sure to ask the waiter what that includes. He told us we could choose any of the sushi platter options, but we ended up having to pay extra. He did not tell us that the Groupon only covered up to a certain price. We had no issue paying the extra amount, just would have appreciated a heads up. The way he went about it felt dishonest. The exterior does not do much to dress up expectations. Upon entry you will notice the sticky floor, move into the dining and you are met with more stick dirty furniture and a smell that will not pass. The smell is something between stale beer, spilled drinks and dropped food that have been left to grow roots. By the look of this floor they do not even sweep.
