Not bad but not great either. It's value priced sushi so the ingredients are not excellent, restaurant is a bit dated and feels damp. Service was excellent - staff is super friendly and helpful and attentive. Great sweet tea so I added a star for that. Good lunch specials under $20

Had a quick lunch here during work! I drove past this place all the time since it's right near Target and Ross but this was my first time eating here. I was hesitant because the reviews weren't that great here on Yelp but I'll be the first to say it -- this place is so good. I sat at a booth and was greeted by friendly host and waiter. Came during lunch so maybe that's why the prices were so reasonable but for my two rolls I think it was about $25 dollars--which is super reasonable in my eyes. The dancing eel roll and spicy tuna roll were so fresh tasting and even my friend agreed that it was good! Doesn't look like this place gets too busy but they do offer hibachi too which is nice. Definitely see myself coming back!

I got takeout from here and I got the tuna roll and the fugiya roll. Loved the fugiya roll and I tried the tuna roll just for the e experience but I wasn't a huge fan. I would definitely get the fugiya roll and thought! I also got Uber eats from here once and ordered the Super crunch roll and shrimp tempura roll. I don't remember loving nor hating either of them and will be willing to try them again.

My wife and I visited this location a few times, as it is one of the closest Japanese/Sushi restaurants near our home. Sakegura is located off of Scenic Highway within the Presidential Markets Shopping Mall in Snellville, Ga. The Parking: Sakegura is located within a shopping center with a huge parking lot. Plenty of free parking. The Atmosphere: This is your typical Japanese restaurant. There are several regular tables and quite a few hibachi tables. Loved the music here. Had some good R&B. The Service: Everyone was nice. Our chef on the hibachi grill was super nice and funny. The show he put on was great. There was a baby at our table who was completely fascinated by the tricks and fire. The Food: We had the filet mignon, shrimp, and chicken hibachi with fried rice and vegetables. Delicious! We also had two types of sushi (cAnt remember which we got) but they were also good and fresh. Overall, I would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

I've been to Sakegura in Snellville now twice, and both times my experience was meh. Service is friendly but the food is just missing something. First time we ordered some sushi, shrimp fried rice, and steak hibachi during lunch time. The fried rice was OK. Had to cover it with yum yum sauce. Steak wasn't cook as requested, and sushi was not bad. Second time we actually sat at the hibachi area and had the whole experience. The cooks were friendly and fun which made the experience better, but the food was the same. The restaurant is clean, plenty of parking, and everyone practices covid measures. Not sure I will be back. No estoy segura si volveré.

The restaurant is neat and clean. The servers are attentive, friendly, and funny. There are plenty if seatings and nicely decorated. We came during busy hours in the afternoon so waited a bit for the food. The food was delicious. We enjoyed our dinner.

I don't usually leave reviews but I must say THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! My family & I ate lastnight at about 8:45-9pm and was WELL TAKEN CARE OF. The food was definitely 100/10. Thank you guys again

This restaurant has terrible service . They state that they close at 2:30 however they close whenever they feel and will not service you because your black .

Lunch combo "D" ... Futomaki, asparagus and cucumber sushi ... very good ($14.00, comes with miso soup or ginger salad).

I gave this restaurant a two star rating. I have been wanting to eat here for a while as my favorite Japanese restaurant is right up the street. Glad I did and it will be the last time. The food was good but the owners are Chinese and the restaurant is run very similar to a Chinese type restaurant. I asked for Ocha and pronounced Japanese words (food titles as was in the menu) and the waitress did not know what I was talking about. What was even more disturbing was as I sat and ate, I looked around and saw that the restaurant was not very clean. The red carpet is filthy. The picture hanging over my table on the wall was literally falling apart... Just barely hanging up there. I went to the bathroom and honestly I felt like throwing up everything I had eaten. The bathroom was just filthy. So for me... I can say that I have tried Sakegura but will continue to eat at my favorite Japanese restaurant right up the street... Sushi Avenue. The environment at sushi Avenue is very close to Japanese authenticity as is the food and the staff. You are greeted in Japanese when you enter and thanked in Japanese as you exit. What makes this review horrifying is that I was at the door when the restaurant opened. One would think the restaurant would be clean at the beginning of their day. This restaurant was not.

This is a a no frill habachi, they give a pretty big fried rice portion. The rice was tasty. The scallops were good and a lot in my opinion. It's good for a quick dinner with family. Would come back.

Yumee Katsu is a modern-style katsu spot, and overall, the food is tasty even though I've definitely enjoyed some dishes more than others. My go-to order is the Assorted Katsu meal, and it's a winner for variety, flavor, and portion size. You get a couple of pieces of shrimp tempura, fish katsu, and pork & cheese katsu, plus the option to add a small side of udon or soba noodles. The fish katsu is light and flavorful, and the pork with cheese is a full-on cheese pull party. I also really enjoy their salad dressing and the dipping sauces that come with the donkatsu and fish katsu- they add a lot to the meal. The ambiance has a nice, modern vibe, and the service has always been friendly and welcoming. A small but thoughtful touch: they offer Asian candies for guests, which is a fun little refresher after your meal. Overall, Yumee Katsu is a great spot in Suwanee if you're in the mood for well-executed katsu in a cool, comfortable setting. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.

It did me because I saw this place on social media and since it's another katsu joint, it must be tried and suffice to say, it's not bad! This location is in the plaza that shares the new Sambong, Gopchang Salon, CowWow, and the BBQ Chicken place off L'ville-Suwanee Rd. If you hit the H-Mart, you've passed it as it's got one of the most unassuming signage you can create. Inside, is spacious. Looks to seat roughly 60-80 heads. It's well lit, has a very Japanese decor to the interior, yet still provides a decent amount of coziness to your table without it being too dark. Now for the food. Being that it's a katsu place, I had to go with their flagship entree, the Yumee Katsu and also pair it with a mini soba which let's me for real, I love how they do soba here. It's not dipping soba which I love. The soba sits in a cold broth of dashi, soy sauce, and mirin which they season with some cabbage and toasted sesame seeds. Now for the katsu itself. The katsu itself is thick. Thick and juicy which delivers an amazing porky flavor. It's also fried beautifully. The crust is crunchy, flaky, and evenly distributed over the pork meat. Yet the fried panko doesn't mask the flavor of the pork which some places tend to do so the panko pork ratio is simply perfect because you get the initial crunch but then the thick pork meat hits your teeth and it's a beautiful marriage of crunchy with the meaty tenderness of the pork protein. They give you their own katsu dipping sauce, some mini cubed radish, two cubes of radish kimchi, and on the plate, a heaping handful of sliced cabbage with a dressing drizzled on top which provides another textural dimension from the fried pork. The katsu plate is $15. Since I added the mini soba which was another $2 then tax and tip, you're looking at at about $20-$24 in order to eat here. Not bad. Definitely worth visiting for a casual hang or even a date and you don't want to do the normal Atlanta date scene and feel like grabbing something different.

It was all in his attitude. It started with our drink orders. I tried to order the drink I normally order. His response was a disgusted face and "What?" before finally telling me they didn't have the key ingredient. Next, half the party got salad and half got soup. We waited another 20 minutes for everyone to get either their other soup or salad. My sushi comes but I have nothing to drink. Not water or the lemon drop I ordered when I arrived. By the time I finished my sushi and drank my child's water, my watered down lemon drop came. It was clear it had been sitting in the ice for a minute. Now, let's talk about the hibachi. After the rice and vegetables were cooked, the stove went out. They spent another 15-20 minutes trying to fix that instead of just moving us. There was really no show because all the time was spent fixing the cooktop. Lastly, it took exactly 45 minutes to get the checks after we finished eating. He never even came back to let us know what was going on. We just saw other people paying their checks and leaving. Once we got up to stop waiting and leave, then someone ran over with some checks. Of course there was mandatory gratuity already included for that horrible service.

The jalapeno yellow tail roll was generous portion and again- hold the mayo please! Very pleasant and non rushed service.
