Sakegura has been my go to sushi place for years now. The sushi and fried rice have yet to disappoint me, and are excellently priced. The manager in particular is very friendly to all customers and frequently says by as customers leave. The restaurant is typically quiet and clean, I also enjoy drawing on the thin parchment that covers the tables. Sakegura is certainly a place I will continue to come back to. read more

We loved this place! The food was FABULOUS, the chef UT was so much fun, our server was on point and the place is small but offers several seating options. Sushi bar seating, several booths and tables to eat privately and 3 or 4 hibachi black tops. I've got leftovers for tomorrow but they might not make it . Had a quick lunch here during work! I drove past this place all the time since it's right near Target and Ross but this was my first time eating here. I was hesitant because the reviews weren't that great here on Yelp but I'll be the first to say it -- this place is so good. I sat at a booth and was greeted by friendly host and waiter. Came during lunch so maybe that's why the prices were so reasonable but for my two rolls I think it was about $25 dollars--which is super reasonable in my eyes. The dancing eel roll and spicy tuna roll were so fresh tasting and even my friend agreed that it was good! Doesn't look like this place gets too busy but they do offer hibachi too which is nice. I got takeout from here and I got the tuna roll and the fugiya roll. Loved the fugiya roll and I tried the tuna roll just for the e experience but I wasn't a huge fan. I would definitely get the fugiya roll and thought! I also got Uber eats from here once and ordered the Super crunch roll and shrimp tempura roll. My wife and I visited this location a few times, as it is one of the closest Japanese/Sushi restaurants near our home. Sakegura is located off of Scenic Highway within the Presidential Markets Shopping Mall in Snellville, Ga. The Parking: Sakegura is located within a shopping center with a huge parking lot. Plenty of free parking. The Atmosphere: This is your typical Japanese restaurant. There are several regular tables and quite a few hibachi tables. Loved the music here. Had some good R&B. The Service: Everyone was nice. Our chef on the hibachi grill was super nice and funny. The show he put on was great. There was a baby at our table who was completely fascinated by the tricks and fire. The Food: We had the filet mignon, shrimp, and chicken hibachi with fried rice and vegetables. Delicious! We also had two types of sushi (cAnt remember which we got) but they were also good and fresh. Overall, I would definitely recommend if you're in the area. read more

I've been to Sakegura in Snellville now twice, and both times my experience was meh. Service is friendly but the food is just missing something. First time we ordered some sushi, shrimp fried rice, and steak hibachi during lunch time. The fried rice was OK. Had to cover it with yum yum sauce. Steak wasn't cook as requested, and sushi was not bad. Second time we actually sat at the hibachi area and had the whole experience. The cooks were friendly and fun which made the experience better, but the food was the same. The restaurant is clean, plenty of parking, and everyone practices covid measures. I gave this restaurant a two star rating. I have been wanting to eat here for a while as my favorite Japanese restaurant is right up the street. Glad I did and it will be the last time. The food was good but the owners are Chinese and the restaurant is run very similar to a Chinese type restaurant. I asked for Ocha and pronounced Japanese words (food titles as was in the menu) and the waitress did not know what I was talking about. What was even more disturbing was as I sat and ate, I looked around and saw that the restaurant was not very clean. The red carpet is filthy. The picture hanging over my table on the wall was literally falling apart... Just barely hanging up there. I went to the bathroom and honestly I felt like throwing up everything I had eaten. The bathroom was just filthy. So for me... I can say that I have tried Sakegura but will continue to eat at my favorite Japanese restaurant right up the street... Sushi Avenue. The environment at sushi Avenue is very close to Japanese authenticity as is the food and the staff. You are greeted in Japanese when you enter and thanked in Japanese as you exit. What makes this review horrifying is that I was at the door when the restaurant opened. One would think the restaurant would be clean at the beginning of their day. Since I've stepped foot in this establishment in 2012 I have received nothing but excellent quality food, amazing customer service, and memories to last a lifetime. I've been to many places, and also think of myself as a connoisseur for fried rice.... and there is no... and I repeat.. NO FRIED RICE better than Sake's. I adore how choosing to sit at the table has its own intimate experience and sitting at the grill has an excitement of its own. I love the environment as well. Some of the workers there have been there forever. They remember your name and treat you well at all times, not just when it's empty and convenient for them. This is our Hibachi place to go. He's not just close to home, but their food is very good. I have to confess that I could eat hibachi, every day of the week. The taste of the actual food is very good, but, what you would expect, with the exception of the fried rice. We are meat lovers and the ground beef and bacon the add to the fried rice is delicious!!!!!! We have also tried their sushi, which is pretty good as well. On the service, I would ask them to be a bit more friendly, but they do not get to be rude, just not really talkative or open to explain things. This was our first time visiting and it did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi while my girlfriend had the shrimp and filet mignon. My chicken was cooked perfectly... nice and tender and the shrimp was very flavorful. The filet mignon was tender and tasty. The miso soup was great. My spring rolls were fresh and the sake was smooth. The service was pretty good for a busy Mother's Day afternoon. We will return!!! read more

A friend and i visited this establishment for some sushi and was disappointed to see nothing but imitation crab in their sushi selection. No real crab is on this menu. I gave their sushi a try and it did not meet my taste. I am a huge fan of sushi but this just was not it. I told my server that i didn't like it and didn't want it. She was very rude and forced me to pay regardless. She kept asking if i wanted a to go box and didn't offer not one apology or attempt to compensate. I left every bit of sushi on that table and plan on calling the bank to dispute it. I would have left her a tip but their customer service is trash.
