Inokos in winder has been here for ages. It's that cheap decent hibachi that you grab just to satisfy the itch. It's the lunch spot that never changes. The service is an order up front and serve drinks yourself. I ordered through their seemless website (powered by grubhub). One of the biggest reasons they get a 4 star is due to their service. The website was a little more complex to handle and made me sign in. I immediately get a call to make sure my order is right since they've been having complications. They didn't assume, they made sure their customer was set! The ambiance is relax and the restaurant has been standing for a while so it's on the older side. Definitely NOT worth $32! We normally grab from Inokos Express in Athens when we are in town. The plate is usually really full, granted it's a lot of veggies but we have leftovers for lunch the next day. This plate has hardly any veggies. Lesson learned, the taste isn't worth the price so I guess we paid $32 for the yellow sauce because it was the best thing on the plate. Good luck!!! read more

Hmmm? Was in town and decided to visit Inoko. The last time I came here was probably 10 years ago. This hibachi is not one where they cook in front of your table and entertain you. You order and go have a seat. Then your food comes out or they call you to go get your food. Or you can order takeout. The food is still good, but something about the yellow sauce (some people call it YumYum sauce) has changed. The yellow sauce was very runny and was not as flavorful. I don't know if they added water or something to dilute it or make it so that they can have double the volume of yellow sauce available, but it just did not taste right (was very bland and lacking in flavor). I ordered to go: the chicken teriyaki and hibachi steak with rice and vegetables. The food was good, but the sauce was lacking. Took about 15 minutes to get my food. The restaurant looked the same as I remembered. The sauces used to be by the soda fountain where you could grab it yourself, but now all of the sauces (yellow and the other one) is behind the counter where it is portioned, two sauces per order. Any extra sauce is an extra charge. Overall: food is good, yellow sauce is bland, price is okay. When your craving hibachi takeout, it gets the job done. I recommend buy your own yellow sauce (YumYum sauce) from the grocery store and use that instead. read more

The food was mid. The fried rice it did not have anything just rice and maybe some flavoring. Not good enough for my standards though. I ordered hibachi steak I got vegetables which had onions and mushrooms Which is what I chose From six different vegetables that they offered. they were amazing. As for the steak it was not cooked the way I told them to cook it. It was well done and not medium well. But was good. The service was good you order at the counter sit down and they bring it to you. This is the highest priced Inoko around and the poorest quality of food. I walked in to place a to go order and there was only one table. Most Inokos come with specials that include soup and salad. Not this one. Anything you want more than rice and meat is extra. The Chicken and steak was all over cooked and tough. I asked for the plate with zucchini and I only got about 6 small pieces. The soup had zero flavor and that costs an extra $1.50. The yum yum sauce looks like they water it down because it was very liquidy and lacked in the usual flavor. Lesson learned on this one with no desire to come back. I wouldn't waste your time or money eating here. You will end up throwing it away and paying for something else. read more

I only ever order the teriyaki steak and chicken, soup and ginger salad. The teriyaki steak and chicken with fried rice is delicious. I order chili sauce to go with mine, it gives it tons of kick and I love it. The ginger salad is iceberg lettuce mix with a ginger dressing on it. That's it. But the ginger dressing is delicious. The miso soup is so bland but my bf loves it. Ordering Togo is the thing to do. Fast and efficient and 100% right 100% of the time. read more

Coming from the DMV, I'm used to "Japanese Steakhouse" meaning that you'll have the experience of them cooking in front of you...unfortunately, while this place had the same menu, it didn't have the experience. The food was great, but the condition of the restaurant left a lot to be desired. Tables were dirty, paint peeling, etc....in general it just needs a bit of upkeep and cleaning. This Inoko restaurant in Winder, GA is actually Inoko Express, not the full-blown Inoko Japanese Steakhouse like the one in Athens. So, there are no hibachi grills, no crazy chefs starting fires or performing tricks for you as they cook your food. You place your order with the cashier near the front entrance, pay for your food, and then you find your own seat. You have to fill your own drinks, too. But, they do bring your food out to your table once it's prepared. The food is decent enough, I suppose. But the atmosphere is nonexistant. Every table in the place is sticky and the place smells like a pet shop. It could really use a good cleaning. It's definitely not an ideal place to go for dinner, but it's a good place to order take-out. I'm not sure why the owners decided to go with this format - the place could've been much bigger and much nicer - like the one in Athens. There aren't a lot of places in Winder to sit down for a meal, unless you like fast food, and this place ranks just a tad bit above the run-of-the-mill fast food joints in Winder. read more

Love this place!! No it is not a full blown restaurant. If you have ever had the original Inoko then you miss the original flavor. This is the same as the original and it shows. When you walk in you order your food then sit and wait for it to be brought to your table. Not much atmosphere so if you're looking for a fancy restaurant where the will cook in front of you, this isn't it. The food is fast, fresh and at a decent price. The staff was friendly and helpful. Not what I expected at all. Read the reviews, which were good. I ordered chicken fried rice and a small side of regular fried rice. The chicken was tough and had no flavor at all. The side of fried rice wasn't even fried rice at all. It was steamed white rice with what looked like soy sauce on it. The yum yum sauce couldn't even make it better. I love Japanese food and enjoy coming here when I can't go to the one in Athens. This is considered an "express" location, so don't expect Hibachi chefs. Over the last few years the portions have gotten smaller and prices have gone up. The kids meal comes with a small portion of rice and 4 dices of chicken for $5, not worth it!
