I rarely write reviews, but I really wanted to take a moment to thank Marfa at the Prada boutique in Boston for such a wonderful experience! I came in today with my young son to purchase a bag, and Marfa was incredibly warm, welcoming, and kind from the very beginning. My son was a little fussy at times, but she was so patient and understanding and never made me feel uncomfortable or rushed, which I truly appreciated. She helped me choose the perfect bag and made the entire experience feel easy and enjoyable. Marfa is such a lovely person -- friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely pleasant to talk to. She is also absolutely beautiful and has such a warm, positive energy! Thank you so much, Marfa, for making my visit so special. Women's at Prudential and Men's at Copley. Women's store is nice - feels like your standard high end department with two floors for clothes. The men's store, perhaps due to holidays or lightly or myself felt more like a high end Nordstrom rack with the way it was laid out and sale pricing in pockets throughout the store. It was a great experience shopping today at Sak Fifth Avenue today. The lady at Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris counter was very friendly and kind to help me with my purchased. Tge dkrction was good. Since Barneys New York & Neiman Marcus are no longer at Copley/Prudential, Saks is the only remaining of its kind here. They've got little individuals shops on the first floor where you'll find Louis Vuitton, Dior, Prada, Chanel, and the rest of the floor has skincare/makeup, as well as clothes. On the second floor, it houses the shoes! Can also find winter apparel usually upstairs too. Men's Saks is in the Copley side whereas women's Saks is on the Prudential side! read more

This store is unreliable and do not go spend money there. Here are just the facts, I will put my thoughts after FACTS 1. About 3 weeks prior to a black tie event I went to the Prudential center. They did not have many things in stock (totally fine). The store associate recommended I buy online and return things that don't fit and that many people do that. I asked if I could still do the tailoring for free if I do that. The store associate said yes. I asked how long that takes, they said usually a week, sometimes less. 2. I order dresses online, I paid for rush shipping. two arrived on the rush schedule some others did not, not sure why. This is no problem, but a little odd. 3. I pick a dress and make a tailoring appointment onlien per the instructions. The online tailoring books a few days out. This is no problem. I still have about a week and a half. 4. I go to the tailoring appointment. It takes them a half hour to return the six the dresses i am returning (not sure why). The tailoring manager is not working that day so no one can tell me when the dress will be done. I really would like it one week from the day and am happy to pay a rush fee. Still no one can tell me when it will be done, what the policy is regarding rushes, why my alterations (just taking up the hem a little) are not included in the free policy. After an hour and a half i leave the store and a manager has assured me they will get it doen for a week from now, latest a week and one day. 5. That was a thursday, I email the subsequent monday to confirm. No response. I call the manager on duty line on Tuesday. Eventually they get someone on the phone to tell me that the garment will not be ready for THREE MORE WEEKS. No one was going to inform me of this if i had not spent hours pestering on the phone. THOUGHTS That is the end of my facts and here are my opinions: (1) this is a crazy way to treat clients buying things of any cost but especially luxury items. There is such a lack of communciation. (2) if they had told me on my first shopping day or when i brought it to get tailored that the alterations department would take 3 weeks, I would have made other arrangements for tailoring... no problem I get that. However by not telling me, I now have an event on Saturday, its wedensday and I have NO OPTIONS. (3) No one will call me back and let me know if I can rush the alterations. I have no idea what to do. EVeryone says "I'll get back to you later" and then it takes a day and I have one day less to find a solution for the thousand dollar dress I bought. The lack of communication, knowledge of store policies, etc is the problem. I have no idea what to do. I have spent a lot of money here. I do not know what the point is of going to a luxury department store, it would have been much easier to purchase elsewhere and find my own arrangements. SAKS has become a disappointment to visit in person unfortunately! I was at the Jo Malone counter where they had several perfume sample bottles layed out on the front table. Unfortunately, many of those bottles were empty. I got into a conversation with one of the older women who worked there after first asking if someone could help me. I then brought this to her attention- she did not seem surprised and said that people spray and thats why these sample bottles get over! Well... obviously.. and that is precisely the reason that they should be refilled- why was there nobody making sure that these bottles were refilled!? It looks so bad to have some empty bottles layed out on the front counter.... in a "luxury" store!? I then walked over to the Estee Lauder section- ugh - run down too- half the things were not available in the store but at least the sales girl was very nice! Couple recommendations: 1. There is no excuse as to why those bottles were not filled out!? If they are empty, why were they not removed from sight!? I saw employees standing idle so no excuse for short staffing. If stock was over, then your stock forecast was off so these 2 issues can be rectified. 2. I was on a different wave length when talking with one the associates- she kept asking what was it that I wanted!? My point to her was - if i had something specific in mind, I would have ordered it online and not walked into your store. We come to SAKS for an experience which brings me to... 3. The entire store looked sterile! 2 days before Christmas- there was no spirit of joy, celebration or happiness- Imagine half empty bottles on the front counter of Jo Malone, nobody at the counter but eventually someone came! and no visuals of a holiday season! All reasons why there is no reason to walk into the store any longer. 4. Nobody was rude but they did not seem to understand me when I was trying to tell them that a luxury store should not look run down- it was just a terrible experience! I'm afraid to say that the SAKS brand image was not consistent with my experience. The store needs to close and unfortunately SAKS is not doing a good job managing their brand. I have been reading about all the bankruptcy talk in the news so maybe instead of restructuring its time to say good bye. In the absence of being wow'd out and getting a "luxury" experience at the store, one should just look for the cheapest price online and just order from home- maybe SAKS will change to a utilitarian marketplace which is consistent with my in store experience today! read more

I actually really like shopping at Saks because they have great deals, but honestly, the attitude of some of the salespeople is pretty disappointing. Yesterday, I was buying something at the La Mer counter, and the sales associate looked super impatient at first. If I weren't getting a gift for my family member, I definitely wouldn't have continued with the purchase after being treated like that. But the moment she realized I was going to make the purchase, her tone completely changed. This isn't the first time I've experienced something like this at Saks, and it really makes the whole shopping experience pretty terrible. read more

I had a poor experience today at the men's store. I hesitated to write a review but I shared my story with a friend when I got home and they said I should call the store. I called the store to share my experience with a manager. It took me, I kid you not, 25 minutes to get someone to pick up the phone. The woman who answered the phone was lovely but was honest and said I wasn't going to get a manager on the phone and I should just write a bad review online. So, per the employee's advice, here I am. Typically, I work with one SA at Neimans who I worship but today we stumbled into the men's saks. I found a pair of jeans I wanted to try on. No one offered to assist me which is fine, I first asked someone who ended up working in shoes so he couldn't help, no problem. I went to the information desk and found a young woman with long dark hair and another man. I asked for a fitting room. She seemed displeased to have to break up her convo and made a joke with the man she was with, then walked me to where the fitting rooms were and said "the doors open." Again, this is ALL FINE. I don't expect crazy service but the service she has provided was minimal to none and was prompted by my need for a fitting room. I tried the jeans on and decided to buy them. My husband found a sweater he wanted as well. As I'm walking around and she sees I'm now clearly going to buy the jeans, she approaches me and tells me "I'm going to be checking you out today." I wasn't ready to check out so I said no thanks I'm all set. She said again, I'm going to check you out so you have to find me when you're ready to check out. Okay, I get the retail business and commission but this is aggressive. She provided no service, she didn't check in on me in the fitting room or anything. I finish my shopping and approach a sales person I've worked with in the past and ask to be checked out. He was lovely and happy to help. The original woman SCREAMS from across the store "I OPENED THE DOOR FOR HIM!" And rushes over and tells the person she's going to check me out. At this point, I've already whispered to the man I'd rather check out with him and that she was not helpful and a little aggressive. He nicely tells her that we wanted to check out with him. She says no and I have to check out with her if I want the jeans. So, I say okay if that's the case I guess I'll pass on the jeans but she didn't open the door for my husband so he's going to buy the sweater from this gentleman. She then says either "that's crazy" or "you're crazy," snatches the jeans away from the SA and walks away. I'd assume Saks wants the jeans to sell regardless of who's selling them. The man rang up my husband then discreetly slipped away to get my jeans. He handled it very well. However, once I left the store, the gravity of how unprofessional this girl was hit me. I shared the story with my mother and a friend, both who urged me to call a manager. Especially, the "crazy" comment and that she wasn't going to allow me to purchase the jeans! I wish a manager would call me to discuss the experience but I doubt that will happen. read more

I ranked them down a notch because this store does not carry men's clothing or shoes. It's focused on only women fashions even though a men's lounge exists on the 2nd floor. Had an issue with receiving a gift card for spending over $250 dollars during their promotion at Christmas time. I spent $290.00 and they said they would not give me one because I used a gift card that I had recieved as a gift not a promotion and they lied and said it was one I got from a different promotion. Anyway, Sonia in management acted like she was going to call me back when looking into it and then she never called or texted me and ignored me when I reached out trying to find out if I could get the promotional gift card. She should not be working in a place like that where customer service is important. I heard her talking on the phone with someone at the counter asking why they would try and connect me to her (she was the one who contacted me in the first place and ignored my return calls and texts) and I heard her tell the person to say to me she was not there. Then after I went to see a different fragrance, a worker approached me and racially profiled me, and kept watching me as I was smelling fragrances and attempting to guest service me. One star for a decent selection of merchandise. But boy oh boy, the other reviewers aren't kidding when they say this is a Pretty Woman situation. I'm not a fan of this location. In fact, I don't think I've ever actually purchased anything from here other than a bag from the Gucci store (which is its own little area) when I was gifted a Saks gift card. And for good reason. I ventured in last week to see if they sold Gucci cosmetics. While unfortunately, the Boston Gucci store doesn't sell them, the ever-loved NYC Saks has an entire section. So I figured it was worth checking. I wandered around the beauty department while a good handful of staff who clearly saw me, stood around and talked amongst themselves. When I tried to ask someone for help, I was told they were busy with other customers and to go over to the perfume area. Right. After finding no help there either (no one was actually there), a Bobbi Brown lipstick caught my eye. I made eye contact with the sales associate and before I could ask for assistance, she offered it to another customer who just walked over to the section. Nice. I ended up leaving. Even while I was in the accessories department looking at bags, absolutely no one asked, even once, if I needed help. Just a whole lot of staring and internal judging. Which is too bad on their part- there's a reason why department stores are on the decline and their shitacular customer service is definitely one of them. Saks Fifth Avenue is like a Nordstrom, they carry a bunch of different luxury brands, and sometimes you'll run into promotions. I have mixed feelings about them having an all men's store in the Copley Place, and an all women's store in the Prudential. I think that it can be a good concept by not doing too much and have a specific focus, but also doesn't encourage inclusivity. I also don't see how this would make sense for them in a retail sales conversion standpoint because what if I wanted to shop for my partner or friends and family, and I won't be able to because it's no longer a one stop shop. The men's store just had me walk in and walk right out because I couldn't find what I was looking for. The staff there was courteous to let me know to come here, and the two places aren't too far from one another. There should also be a sign that says the women's store or other store is in the next building and you can cross the bridge on this floor. Other than that, it's worth checking out to keep your options open and to ensure that you're getting a good deal for what you're looking for. read more

I went in to sample fragrances for knowledge on what to buy. The employees treated me extremely well and provided great service. They were happy to give recommendations on which ones to try. One of the people there named Brooke even handed out free samples of two fragrances so I could test longevity and performance. Overall great store with very helpful people. As many other reviews mention I think the main issue with Saks is the customer service. I've definitely noticed sales associates are more willing to help if they think that you're going to spend a lot, or if you're wearing head to toe designer. I came a few months ago to grab a pair of Roger Vivier heels for an event. Unfortunately they didn't carry my size and I needed the shoes the next day so I got. Half size bigger than my regular, and the sales woman who helped me gave me some extra cushioning to fill in the shoe a little bit. She was so kind and kept offering suggestions and looked at pictures of the dress I was wearing to try thinking of alternatives. However, when it comes to the bag department I've never had a sales employee try helping me or answering my questions, and for this reason I've chose to purchase handbags at other stores or online. The saleswomen on the first floor of women's clothing are quiet, but always helpful. And there's a guy who works at the Jo Malone counter who is always so kind in remembering me and offering samples of other fragrances. I think it just depends on what "section" you're in. Typically the more "luxurious brands" = more snotty sales people, which is unfortunate. read more

Saks Fifth Avenue - Really clean fitting rooms! - Women's Clothing Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

The Saks Fifth Avenue online customer service representatives were very rude, not polite and unprofessional. They argued with the customer and literarily hung up the phone on the customer. I ordered a pair of ladies' shoes online during the Saks Fifth Avenue Product Preview Online order through Saks.com. The shoe description online says Made In Italy which was one of the factors that prompted me to buy the shoe. When I received the shoes, it was not made in Italy. The shoes were Made in Spain, in addition, the shoes ran larger in sizes than the normal sizes. The shoes were literarily falling off my feet. So, I went to another store (not a Saks store) that has the shoes on display in their store. I asked to try my normal size in that shoe. The man at that store immediately told me no these shoes runs larger than normal you will need a smaller size than you normally wear. So, he brought me a half size smaller than my regular size and I tried those smaller sizes on, they fit perfectly. I thanked the man and told him that I will go to Saks Fifth Avenue to Exchange the shoes for a smaller size. So, I called Saks Fifth Avenue customer service at 1-877-551-7257 and explained the issues. The Saks customer service promised me that I can Exchange the shoes for the correct size with no problem and that they will Honor the price that I paid for the first shoes. He gave a case number for the issues and told me to go and return the unfit shoes to the Saks Fifth Avenue store. After the return, I should call the Saks Fifth Avenue customer service back, give them my case number and that Saks will "Honor" my product preview price. So, on Monday, September 10, 2024, I returned the shoes to the Saks Fifth Avenue store and obtained a return receipt. I then called Saks customer service back and gave them the case number to re-order the shoes, the Saks customer service REFUSED to Honor my Product Preview price and they refused to refund my shipping price. The Saks customer service representatives were arguing with me, blaming me for everything, telling me there was nothing wrong with the shoes that I returned. The shoes that were literarily falling off my feet. At one point they told me that I did not return the shoes to the store. Then they told me to email them a copy of the Return receipt that the store gave me. I again emailed the "Return Receipt" to the Saks customer service, the guy still refused to honor the price to re-order the shoes in the correct price and size. He then told me oh, I should go and register as a Saks customer on Saks website so that his supervisor will see my profile that I am a SAKS customer and then they will honor my Exchange price and re-order the shoes. I registered on the Saks website as a customer while the Saks Rep was on the telephone with me, after this the guy put me on a long Hold and then came back and told me that oh, I should go ahead and re-order the shoes myself for full price and then submit a request to them to REVIEW my request to honor the exchange price, and that if they approve it, I will get the price difference back, if they did not approve it, I will not get the price difference back. Today is Thursday night, September 12, 2024, I need these shoes for my event next week and yet Saks Fifth Avenue has not ordered my exchange shoes and REFUSED to honor my product preview price that I paid for the original shoe. This was my first time of ordering anything from Saks website. I will NEVER ORDER anything from Saks Fifth Avenue again and I will not recommend Saks.com to anyone. I went in there to return what I bought from online. The lady (or b**ch) gave me hard time and making snarky comments and called me rude while she was being complete b**ch. They have some decent stuff here but if you want good service and more variety, go to New York. If I have not been there, I would just think this is just another dump. Unfortunately I was treated very badly by him and he insulted me on social media！！It makes me feel like I had a verbal assault and personal attack！ I was trying to find a Chanel jeans for my birthday. At the beginning of our conversation, I asked some questions about that Chanel Jeans, its because that pair of jeans has different pattern on the side, each pair is one of the kind, the patterns are different. I was trying to find the jeans with that Chanel logo on it. it took me so long to find the one I wanted. Before I asked him, I also asked another sales about this pants, because I was trying so hard to get this pants for my birthday. I asked some of the sales if they can find this for me. So he told me I found that jeans with my size but he found out that I also asked someone else. He began to being really mean to me and had a very bad and nasty attitude. First of all, he told me the pant I was looking for was the last in U.S(which is a lie) and then he asked me to stop wasting his time. This is just ridiculous, I don't know how did I waste his time, I was just trying to find the jeans that I want. After that I asked him if he could be nice to me，he said"I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU,WHY SHOULD I BE NICE TO YOU?" This is even more ridiculous. I have been shopping in the U.S. for several years. There was no salesperson talks like him ever. I don't know how he got his training done before he became a salesperson or that's how SAKS salesperson treats customers?   What made me even more angry is after this provoking conversation. I didn't buy this jeans from him( Nobody would after this). He posted sent a screenshot of our conversation to WeChat with the caption "shit in the head"!! This screenshot has my WeChat name and my profile picture (which is my selfie) this is quite revealing my privacy. I am just a 21-year-old girl, why should I be insulted like this! Now he already deleted this post on his WeChat, but all these have been saved by my screenshot! If anyone needs a translation I'm more than happy to help. Or if you think I'm just telling my side of story, please translate yourself. I need an explanation from this company. This is a very serious problem. I don't know if this is a "saks culture" that Chinese sales on WeChat they can talk whatever they want to customers. I visited the Saks Boston store today to exchange a dress for a different size. Please note the associates were friendly. It just seemed understaffed. I had to wait in three lines because the returns associate couldn't process and an exchange and the exchange associate couldn't process just a refund. Seems inefficient. The exchange associate also told me "the item isn't in store" and when searched online was "sold out in that size." It was available at saks.com when I left, however, and a chat associate helped me to purchase it at (roughly) the same price (though a few dollars higher actually). I've had fantastic past experiences at Saks. I know I am not the highest value customer, and I do not expect any white glove treatment. Today's experience just seemed really inefficient. read more

This is the WORST Saks Fifth Avenue for customer service!!! My original sales person could have cared less that I was shopping there and that I was buying a ton of clothes post baby to update my wardrobe. I went in to shop the friends and family sale since I've had 2 kids in the last 3 years and was ready to shop for new clothes. The guy never helped me to put stuff in my fitting room. He never asked if I needed different sizes and he wasn't helpful with my purchase when I checked out. I just went in the store to return an online order and exchange for another size... you can not do exchanges because dotcom is separate from the store. Ok. Saks loss I just didn't bother calling for another size. Then the customer service lady basically handed me over to the sales guy who was busy for my return. I told her I had the receipt in an email so I had the barcode. She still pushed me over to wait. I didn't want to wait for awful sales guy so I went back over to her (unbusy) and told her I had the barcode and I didn't appreciate her 'shoving' me off.. then she got aggressive and said I was aggressive! Last year I ordered online from Saks in 12/28, on 12/31 they said there was a delay and then in 1/4 they unilaterally canceled the order causing me to lose a $50 Amex credit that expired on 12/31, if I had know. Sooner I could've used the credit in something else. When I called to explain I lost out on $50 due to their delays the customer service rep finally got approval for $30 gift card. I never received it and just spent all the time explaining it yet again to another customer service rep and they can see everything in the order history but are now telling me I was lied to as the $30 credit was not approved and there was nothing more they can do at this time. I asked to talk with supervisor but was told none was available. For a high end, high margin store like Saks to put a customer through all this over $50 says a lot about how crappy and unappreciated their customers are. Costco sure takes better care of their customers and at much better pricing. I honestly can't believe how poorly my customer service interactions with Saks have been, among the worst I've ever had in retail. If you choose to give them your business just know what at least my experience was when there was a problem with an order where it was so clear they were at fault and on multiple occasions had the chance to make it right and failed miserably. read more

When I walk away with nothing I intended to purchase, a girl--black girl, named Brittany whispered loudly "Why wasting the time trying on?" I walked in and was not greeted by anyone, but I was just browsing so I didn't mind. I began walking around looking around at the accessories as this why I came in. As I'm looking I hear someone yelling but I can't make out what they're saying so I continue browsing. The man the loudly yells "maam" so I turned around and he asked if I needed help, I told him I was just looking and he walked away. ( eventually found out his name was Roberts) I was later greeted by a nice gentleman who told me to let me know if I needed assistance; eventually he helped me with the things I found. As we were beginning to ring up my items, the associate helping me (I believe Timothy) turned around to grab for my items and Robertus rudely came over and moved my items out of the way. He then told me to move my phone from off of the keypad although I was prepared to pay. Robertus then began to cancel out what we were doing even though the were other registers available. This showed me that Robertus intentionally made it known that he was watching me when I first came in, and was upset that another person got the sale. Had he been more customer friendly perhaps that would have been the case. It's sad being racially profiled and discriminated against in 2023. Clearly my money spends like anyone else. I did bring this to the attention of the department manager Terry (may have been Tracey) and she advised she would look into it. She was very apologetic for the encounter but it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. But what do I expect from a place that mailed me used alexander mcqueen boots. Store is sooo confusing especially if all you're trying to do is pick up an online order. Definitely just gonna get it delivered to my house next time because I was walking around the store like an idiot for 10 minutes trying to find someone who could get my order because there's no clearly designated check-out place. One employee was very short and rude with me when I tried to return clothes after trying it on in a different department. A different lady (who worked the sunglasses and handbag department?) was very helpful and sweet. read more

This is a decent store, but it pales in comparison to the Saks in Manhattan. The layout is nice. The staff (in the cosmetic department) is so so. I pretty much had to help myself. When I finally made my selections, the counterperson gave me the wrong products. I had to go back the next day exchange them. I expect more from Saks. Especially with a Barneys and Neiman Marcus so close by. read more
